This article will go into detail about Pokemon that have multiple forms (NOT evolutions) over the generations. It will be just like my other articles for this series, with just a different classification of Pokemon to talk about. Pokemon that only change appearance and have no relevant competitive differences, such as Vivillon's different forms of the West/East forms of Shellos and Gastrodon, will not be included here. I wanted to also exclude Unown, but it has a lot of significance both in-game and in a film, which I'd like to talk about. This will be the fifth installment of Pokemon History, which I plan to write for Issue 39 of The Smog. :)

I haven't decided who will help me co-write this yet, but it will likely be someone I'm mentoring for The Smog. The chapter number in the title is mainly only so that I can remember the order in Article Approvals; this number will not be in the titles for these in the Article Workshop. I've purposely excluded the West/East forms of Shellos/Gastrodon, the visually different forms of Vivillon, the different sizes of Pumpkaboo/Gourgeist, the different trims of Furfrou, the seasonal forms of Sawsbuck, the colored flower forms of Flabebe/Floette/Florges, Keldeo/Keldeo-Resolute, and the two different forms of Basculin, because the competitive differences are either absolutely nothing or are much too similar to be called different. As always, thank you for this opportunity to contribute. :)
