So I played NU for the first time over Christmas, and I had literally no idea what I was doing. I made an all-life-orb team featuring granbull for example. Lol fun stuff. Anyways, this was right after Pangoro and Mega Glalie got banned (I think), and during the time when Mega-lix was becoming a monster. I made a HO team that actually played decently well, and did much better after Steelix left. I won't post the complete sets (coming later), but it featured RedCardCrustle, SD Kabu, sash Vivillon w/ energy ball, E-belt Raichu, Scarf or Specs (I forget) Typhlosion, and Zangoose. However, it wasn't long until Kabu rose to RU and a core part of my team was lost. I was able to swap Raichu with Heliolisk and add Virizion to replace Kabu, and eventually switched Zangoose for Sneasel to better deal with Archeops, and the team still performed somewhat well, but without hazard removal I was severely handicapped (tried Claydol for a time, but it wasn't even close to as good). So now that Kabutops is back I've tried re-creating this team, but the meta seems to have changed so much. The team is significantly worse than when Kabu left for RU just a few months back, and I have failed on multiple attempts to build a similar team.

So, my request is a HO team that features Kabutops, Vivillon, and ideally Crustle (I know the set isn't great, but it works sometimes lol), because the two seem to handle each other's checks pretty well outside of Magneton and just steel types in general. If Crustle just isn't workable or there's a significantly better option(s), you can remove it. Here's the sets:

Hey there, building with Poliwrath was incredibly fun. Sneasel is incredibly common right now so having offensive Poliwrath makes the opponent think twice before bringing in there Sneasel and giving you another free switch to Poli. I paired Poliwrath with Stunfisk because it handles electric and flying moves which threaten Poliwrath. It also handles Magneton and gives me stealth rock. The EV spread allows Stunfisk to avoid being 2 hit ko'd by specs analytic hp grass on the switch in. Next on the list is AV Magmortar. This mon handles grass types which threaten Stunfisk and Poliwrath. This mon hard walls Lilligant and threatens the entire metagame. Focus Blast makes Regirock think twice before switching in. It also smacks Audino as they usually dont mega on Magmortar because focus blast isnt too common. Next on the squad is Archeops. I added Archeops because it gave me both a ground resist and fast/strong wallbreaker. Very few teams have something for Archeops which is why i wanted to use it. Stone Edge hits things like Pelipper, Xatu or Mantine while Acro fails to ohko. Earthquake hits steel types like Klinklang or Probopass. Next on the list is Xatu. This mon checks Malamar, gives me momentum, and keeps rocks off the field. The EV spread allows me to outspeed Adamant Sawk and 2 hit ko any variant of Malamar. Lastly i have dual dance Rhydon. This mon isnt very common right now and i still feel it has merit. It gets free switches on mons like Archeops or Tauros and can deal out big damage as not much of the tier enjoys taking an adamant base 130 attack eq or stone edge. Rock polish to sweep late game, Swords dance to break balance. Enjoy!

Edit: This team is a bit lanturn weak, atm the best way to beat it is maybe change rhydon to jolly to net a surprise KO on it or change archeops for a lilligant or smth

crustle just isn't that good imo, so i decided to not use it lol. if you find that the uxie being so bulky is a momentum killer you can opt for a SR+3 Attacks Mesprit instead (but i really enjoy having a bulky pivot on offense). Magneton and Kabutops pair really well with both Vivillon and Fletchinder, if you find keeping SR off the field is easy with kabutops you can opt to run your SD+Rapid Spin set (you can also run sturdy on magneton too o.o) but those are really calls to make based on your playstyle. Gurdurr adds another form of priority, and gives us a solid answer to sneasel, which is probably one of the biggest metagame threats right now. The team struggles to deal with Magneton, so I opted to go with Natural Gift Fire Fletchinder to help lure it in and kill it. If / When Magneton gets banned you can opt for either U-turn or Will-O-Wisp at your preference.

I don't care for Heal Bell on Togetic normally because it kind of needs Thunder Wave to beat Lilligant, but I ended up working out a list that had another Lilligant answer and utilized a lot of other status so that I wouldn't want Thunder Wave anyways. Ferroseed synergizes insanely well with Togetic, only really clashing with its Fire weakness and Togetic's inability to do shit to Fire-types. I went with Toxic Ferroseed because it's the team's primary response to Ludicolo, which it otherwise cannot touch. Mega Audino is stall staple for obvious reason. I went with Encore to fuck over bulky setup sweepers such as opposing Audino and Musharna. SpDef Shelgon is a dedicated Fire-type check and offers a secondary Wish passer. I chose it over Flareon pretty much only because I always use Flareon on stall. Carracosta is a secondary Fire resist and a dedicated Normal and Flying resist that offers Stealth Rock. I chose it over Regirock mostly for Scald, but also because you can sometimes bait things with Rock Slide rather than obviously having it. Misdreavus is my favorite on stall these days because it offers a win condition with Perish Song, a bulky spinblocker, and a cute Pokemon to look at in Team Preview. Have fun!

Hey fren, building HO is probably my favorite way to build so this team turned out fun. Also Frogadier is both cute and powerful. I started with lead Archeops and then quickly realized i was 6-0'd by Sneasel so i changed Archeops to Mawile. Fire Fang lures Ferroseed which helps the rest of the team. The speed creeps Malamar which is cool. Next on the list is the don known as Frogadier. I decided to run hydro and ice beam because they are the best two moves this thing gets. I am running t-spikes because it helps offense dominate all teams without a grounded poison type. This team can apply enough pressure to make it super difficult to spin or defog. Also, Xatu's aren't switching in to this threat, so t-spikes are essentially free. Lastly i am running taunt. This helps get past stall and stop defog. Next on the squad is Misdreavus. This mon is my Tauros check and spinblocker. This also helps the team get past stall. If you are scared of sub Tauros, you could exchange hex for foul play. The ev spread on this just allows it to spinblock effectively. The speed outruns Pawniard. Next on the team is dual dance Rhydon. This mon is my switch in to physical attackers like Kanga, Archeops or Tauros which otherwise 6-0 offense. A normal and flying resist is mandatory for HO and this mon happens to be the best at its job. Next is SD Cacturne. Although Cacturne isn't fantastic in this tier because of Fletch, i needed a solid water resist + strong af priority. I think sucker ohko's Ludicolo after rocks or comes really close to that. Lastly i have scarf HW Mesprit. This mon gives me more momentum, a fast revenge killer as well as the ability to revive a mon of choice. Enjoy!

Can someone give me a PU team?

Please include:

Can someone make a team around life orb wallbreaker Exeggutor with Leaf Storm? I feel that the sitrus/petaya berry set with harvest or the Sunny Beam set on sun teams is the only stuff Ive seen on him and I feel like he could put in some work.

Here's an updated list of team requests that still need to be filled, let me know if I've made a mistake or when you complete a team. Let's get this thing caught up, thanks boys.
High Priority: These teams are really old requests that have yet to be filled.
  • CB Flareon (Metaphysical)
  • double bull (montsegur)
  • RP Rampardos (Rapture.)
Normal Priority: These teams are relatively new requests, compared to others.
  • fletch + ferro (frickett)
  • CM+3 Attacks Uxie (dad's dad)
  • Overheat Fletchinder (carcy)
  • Magmortar+Electivire (TONE114)
  • LO Exeggutor (DoubleBullShyte)
Just a friendly reminder that if you want to join the lab and help us out by creating teams for the community you should send a forum PM to the 5 of us with a little info about yourself and why you think you can help out as a builder!

Love using Webs with Flareon, so I built around that. Mostly everything is pretty standard here. Kabutops offers Rapid Spin support and can help break bulky teams or clean against offense with SD Stone Edge/Jet. I hate Scarf Rotom, but it spinblocks and checks fast Flying-types, which are really threatening for Sticky Web offense, even with three Flying resists. Life Orb Stealth Rock Mawile is one of my favorite Pokemon in this metagame because it checks stuff like Sneasel and Scyther while also providing a ton of offensive pressure. The only non-standard thing I have is Life Orb Lilligant without Quiver Dance. I wanted an offensive Grass-type to switch into and check bulky Grounds and Waters, but I also kind of wanted Healing Wish support for Flareon and Kabutops. Lilligant can offer both, but you really can't fit all of Sleep Powder, Quiver Dance, and Healing Wish on one set.

Team plays like standard hazard lead offense. Even in this metagame with fat balanced teams everywhere, Sticky Web is still nice because it lets Mawile and Flareon break shit more easily, especially with a lot of defensive Pokemon running enough Speed creep for Adamant Mawile.

I built this a long time ago and just tweaked it for this metagame, so I'm not 100% sure on some of the spreads. Choice Band Muk is a manly Pokemon that checks stuff like Lilligant and Mega Audino while also hitting really hard and packing some priority. CM Uxie beats pretty much everything that hard walls Muk, such as Quagsire and bulky Psychic-types. Wish Kangaskhan is massive, offers some offensive pressure, utility for the fatmons with no recovery, and more priority. Lanturn checks Magneton, Fletchinder, Fire-types, etc. and packs a slow Volt Switch. Defensive Mawile owns because it can set Stealth Rock, pivot, and beat Sneasel. Scarf Ludicolo gives the team a late-game cleaner, Ground resist that can immediately threaten every Ground-type in the tier, and a check to SD Samurott/Kabutops. It also stomps on rain, which is really nice for any slow/bulky balanced team.

If you are tagged in this post, it means that we, as a consensus, have denied your requests for a team as the set and/or mon are simply unable to be fully utilised in the current state of the metagame or is just simply too niche or daresay, unviable.

We apologise for the wait that you guys have had, some longer than others, but please do feel free to submit again :]

Can't say I'm surprised that something to hit Seismitoad doesn't work now, honestly if I had even remembered what I'd posted way back when I probably would have asked for something different already.

I was originally using Sleep Powder over Giga Drain on Exeggutor, but I ended up using four attacks instead because the team already had a lot of status and I wanted a way to hit stuff like Lanturn and Stunfisk without getting SpAtk drops. Rotom-Spin is a cool Pokemon that synergizes well with Exeggutor, as pretty much all of its commons checks are destroyed by strong Grass-type attacks. Lanturn offered a Magneton and Fire-type check, and I'm using Icy Wind to hit Grass-type switch-ins and lower their Speed for Exeggutor/Rotom/Hariyama. Xatu checks Gallade and other Fighting-types and offers Thunder Wave support for Exeggutor/Rotom/Hariyama. At this point, I originally had a Stunfisk over Lanturn, so the team was super Fire/Ice weak, leading to Thick Fat Hariyama making a good addition. Fast Band Hariyama hits really hard, and the team was lacking offensive presence outside of Exeggutor. Even with Lanturn, the team was super Freeze-Dry weak, so I kept Hariyama. Finally, Regirock offers Stealth Rock support and a check to problematic fast Pokemon such as Archeops, Tauros, and Sneasel.

It's not quite what I pictured it to turn out as, but after testing it a bit, I really like the look of this team. Hope it does well for you!
