So I've primarily run Bug Buzz over HP Ground and basically partners that can lure and/or kill fire types are great.

I'm wondering what kind of partners would pair better with HP Ground Volcarona. Pursuit trappers like Bisharp maybe? Since Bug Buzz bops the bulky psychics that could otherwise kinda check it
Anything that likes Heatran lured in (although I'm not sure that's the best word for it since HP Ground is p. common) like clefable, mega garde, cm Raikou, etc.

Bisharp, Tyranitar, Gengar, Heracross, Torn-T, M-Manectric, Crawdaunt, Azumarill are some good partners to, for the sake of grabbing momentum, removing, or being synergetic with HP Ground Volcarona. There's plenty more but that's off the top of my head some.

Yeah, Pursuit trappers like ttar and Bisharp seem good, they can take out bulkier fat mons that resist Fire STAB, mainly the lati twins.

I use Tyrantrum as a partner. I prefer the Rock Polish set. He's faster than Tyranitar, can hit harder, can eliminate more threats to Volcarona.

I like how Volcarona is able to beat bulky water-type in 1v1 thanks to Quiver Dances boost, its immunity to burn, and its access to Giga Drain. :]

Bug Buzz is pretty important in my opinion because it allows Volcarona to beat Lati@s. Mega Manectric is a pretty nice partner for it since Mega Manectric can beat Smogon Bird and appreciates the removal of Lati@s. Volcarona also weakens Specially Defensive Hippowdon and Tyranitar so that Mega Manectric can clean up. Heatran will be hard-pressed to switch-in to both threats.

Is there any Volcarona set which uses (or is there a new set that could use) Will-o-Wisp as a way to neuter common switch-ins (TTar, Azumarill, Scarf Lando-T, Garchomp, etc.)? Or is Volcarona already too strapped for moveslots (which seems pretty likely)?

Bug Buzz, Will-O-Wisp, Roost, Quiver Dance.

The one thing when facing Bulky Waters at this point is avoiding Status. Sure Volcarona is immune to burns, but it still is affected by Toxic, and can be easily worn down if something can get it poisoned either beforehand or during the standoff. If it's poisoned, immediately Volca is on a timer, and it can't afford to get to +2 if needed without losing turns to sweep. In the other vein, Paralysis cripples this thing extremely. You don't see many T-Wave Rotom-W but they do exist and if Volca hasn't set up yet and for some reason Rotom-w is the special variant it runs T-Wave say goodbye to any chance you had at sweeping.

This is all very circumstantial, but it's very possible none the less.
