SPOILERS! Pokemon Sun and Moon Full Game Story Spoiler Discussion (Read the OP)

Could be a result of the crossing over process (maybe it was used as a catalyst for crossing over or he had it as proof of another universe?), but it's more likely the producers just saw the chance for an "I dunno" pun with the amnesia.

Probably just picked it up on the beach or something. It isn't too much of a plot point as much as they had to give you access to it so they randomly added it there.
 
Do the random empty squares (where it seems like buildings should be) in a lot of the cities hold any significance?
And, overall, how would you describe the post game in comparison to other main series games (XY, B2W2, etc), without giving away too much?

As of right now, they don't. It's unknown if they're for something undiscovered or something for potential sequels/third versions.
Post game's pretty decently sized. Bigger than XY by quite a bit for sure. The post-game episode which they've started to like doing has a lot of plot relevant information and context too. Got the several ways of battling trial captains/kahunas in the post-game too. While there's more I'd like to reveal, it edges into spoiler territory so I'll leave it at that.

Something to note is that if the Looker in this game and XY really is the pre timeline split Looker, then I would assume that the timelines dont progress through time the same way. DPP and BW take place some time after RS, so the fact that he washes ashore in ORAS tells me that the non mega timeline was in a "later state" so to speak.

Makes me wonder if Looker realized that when he woke up from his Amensia, that certain events were happening again. Also makes me curious if the mega timeline version of DPP hasn't happened yet.

BTW where are you guys getting the whole UBs destroying the non mega timeline thing from? I couldn't find that in the storyline text anywhere, maybre I missed something?

I know, but he specifically requested I don't give away that much. Even if he shouldn't be coming into this thread for that kinda stuff, at the very least I can do him the courtesy of not spoiling everything.
 
The story sounds better than I had expected from February to April, since we knew nothing about Alola at the time. Do any of you fellow users think the story is on par with BW1? Anyway, how did Anabel cross over from the Second Timeline? Was that timeline destroyed by Ultra Beasts? If so, I wonder what happened to the Classic Timeline, assuming it even existed to begin with.

I'm a bit disappointed that Missingno. isn't canon, though. The compatibility with RBY provided a perfect opportunity to transfer Missingno. from the classic lands to the modern world. A little glitchy block sounds like an adorable abomination. Even if it were useless, I would have loved it.

I think Sun and Moon could potentially have some of the best story in the series. Its definitely up there with Black and White, for sure. I watched a stream of the game (curiousity got the best of me). The story is fantastic and the games actually look quite difficult!

The streamer got taken out a few times even. Heck, even Hau managed to sweep him with Alolan Raichu and Flareon (yes, a Flareon).
 
Seems that the level curve provides a much more reasonable challenge than XY and ORAS, since its based on the BW mechanics.

While I love the Pokémon designs, I was expecting the story to become the Pokémon equivalent of Sonic '06. Instead, the games remind me more of Colosseum and Gale of Darkness. I''m completely delighted that I already preordered Sun.

My sonic 06 remark comes on poorly optimized games, not on the story, you can never go as bad as sonic 06 story...even if you try to be as bad as possible you can't reach that level of WTF.

This isn't Colo either, Colo lets you explore a bit before nuking you with cutscenes.

Yeah, my understanding is that it's a Sliggoo type of deal and it needs to be leveled up in Electric Terrain, meaning you could conceivably have a Vikavolt as early on as Level 21.
 
So my thoughts on the whole looker scenario is that the looker we are helping is the one from xy and to a greater extent the mega timeline

I say this because a person who passes through wormholes is called a faller and they are left with seemingly permanent radiation that attracts UBs. Both you and Annabel share this trait but surprisingly looker doesn't and later Nanu talks to looker about fallers and how they are "destined" to fight but he never mentions looker as being one himself

You need to go to Aether Paradise after becoming the Champions and go to the "2F Conservation Area", go in north direction and Gladion will give you a level 40 Type:Null which will evolve to Silvally with maximum happiness
After crossing to the other dimension fly to "ula'ula island" and go to the "Lake of the Moone or Sunne" and you will receive a level 5 Cosmog

Yes you can, but UB are really easy to catch with Beats Balls so no point on using Master Balls
 
Is there a cute snowy area where you catch Vulpix-A and Sandshrew-A? Because Christmas is coming and X/Y did an amazing job with the autumnal feel and I'd love to soft RP with the clothes and the Ice types a bit, if such an area is in the games.
 
Charjabug evolves as early as lv 25 if there is a magnezone/Probopass area.

Sadly you only get a magnezone/Probopass area very late in the game, so you are evolving this guy at lv 40+. Remember Glaceon in Pt, BW and XY? This is the same scenario.
