Pokémon GO

Chanderule Yes! That need to emphasize how bad it is- y'all gettin so dumbfounded about it. Like it's the end of the world that some player didn't power up Solar Beam Groudon instead or something.

I assure you it can actually take on 2700 Blissey, but it takes some dodging. Ultimately, it literally doesn't matter what you use in this gym system.

It does matter if you live in a city where gyms are taken down quickly and thus Golden Razzing 3000+ CP Blissey is the norm, but if your area (just like mine, and many others) has no gym metagame because everything decays, more power to you. Shortmanning raids also requires a lot of dust so depending on what you do, that also counts.

My city is busier than the average area. It's no Chicago or LA, but it's got lots of gyms, nests, and stops. Obviously if Golden Razzing becomes a thing, that's when the Machamp army comes out. Blissey of all sorts of CP ranges show up around here; I rarely see 3000 CP Blissey save for the decayed ones.

I never said its the end of the world
I just mentioned the fact that you effectively wasted dust on something that a level 30 Machamp can do better without any dust

I was thinking about this this morning... Anybody has trouble catching any specific Pokemon? I mean, like odd distance, small target, always seem to escape their ball or even run?

For me, it's Paras. It's always at an odd distance, too far for my usual short curveball throws, but too close for a normal longer throw. It always requires more concentration than I'm usually willing to give to a useless Dust fodder...

Which Pokemon made you waste the most Balls?

When Groudon was out, it was particularly garbage for me when it came to wasting balls. Yes, it's a 2% catch rate, but it's an incredibly easy Curve Excellent to do. Yet it should not take me 70+ Curve Excellent Premier Balls w/ Golden Razz Berry to catch a single one. At one point I was 5/17 on the catches without missing a single ball - just goes to show how RNG can just screw you over. Fortunately, I managed to snag a 98% on raid 20 so it offset this.

Pre-nerf Kyogre (when it released early this year) was notably an awful Pokémon to catch. Here's an example where even your most hardcore players aren't landing Excellents on this thing. This isn't RNG, and amounts to "the positioning and movement are annoying to deal with"

For -regular- Pokémon, I'll list some which are close to impossible to Excellent (thus the catch rate is bad): Dunsparce, Mantine, Shuppet and Exeggcute. I know each time I encounter these I'll have to be wary of runners at high levels.

I did the Deoxys ex raid on Monday, and was very easy to take down with a large group. I see that its reviews on gamepress suck but still nice to have at least one. A game that I also proxied at the ex raid got a 100% so that was quite a thrill but it won't get powered up anytime soon.

I anticipate future ex raids could circulate with gen 4 involving the likes of arceus, darkrai and even manaphy we'll see.

Gastly was easy for me to catch when the game first came out, but recently I've been having so much issue even just landing a ball on that thing, and I have no idea why. Zubat was hard at first but I've gradually gotten used to it.

I also still don't have a Kyogre so I guess that's also a candidate. Hopefully it'll be the weekly research task reward in November.

With such multitude of legendaries and mythicals in Gen4 (and 5), I feel like they would make two Special Researches for Manaphy and Shaymin. Although this can change and we don't know how they will resolve different formes, starting from Deoxys now, and then Shaymin, Arceus, the Kami, etc..
Nevermind Phione. I don't know how to introduce her in GO.

I think Phione could appear in 10k eggs with a low chance to hatch it, considering the form you can get it in main games. And, I think they'll put the items that allows you change forms like main games, a item that you can't eliminate, and you can obtain it as a prize in research task, or in 7th pokestop of the day

Had some fun with Dratini AR photos today.

Now that you mention egg, I actually now think Phione can be continuation for Manaphy Special Research, rewarded in form of an egg to be hatched. Maybe even special egg unique to it like in the games. Or alternatively, given to be hatched near the end of quest string as objective to continue Manaphy Research.

The special Manaphy Research could give as a reward a 20 km egg, that would hatch a Phione!

Now this is an event of type I love. Although... this could hinder some Water-type quests (not that I care about those Krabs anyway), and maybe if they would make Espeon or Eevee appear more....

The weather's getting cloudy at times though. It is the only best time to get a good Ralts now.

Niantic plans 'Pokémon Go' events in US national parks
source: Engadget
The game company has partnered with the National Park Foundation to celebrate the 50th anniversary of National Trails and Wild & Scenic Rivers act signed on October 2, 1968. On a special page on its website, Niantic encourages players to visit any rivers and trails before December 31st, 2018, and send a postcard or publish an Instagram post about it. In exchange, the company will donate $5 for each post and postcard (limited by one per person and $100,000 in total) to the National Park Foundation and send the participants a special patch and handwritten note.

I do know that, which is why I wish she will. Sorry for the confusion, I was too tired to separate the sentence for that.

Your opinion. But to me, I still need to find more for future generations, and they're not so bad anyway compared to the usual spawns I'm sick of seeing at (and rare spawns I'm sick of seeing in gyms and meta guides). I also hate that it is harder to get weather-boosted things now since there's little overlap between Psychic and other types that commonly gets boosted and Windy weather is still pretty cryptic and rare to me.
I don't live in Eevee-centric area and the last time I go to Eevee's biome on the right weather Aron took over instead, pissing me off so much in my trip there.

You should trade for them. If you have any 07/2016 or 08/2016 Pokémon then you can also get Lucky Pokémon (although it may be a waste to use the 10 guaranteed Lucky on Eeveelutions, rather than say Mewtwo).

What value will Eveelutions have?
The only hope would be the unique Exclusive moves offered by Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee, which have been noted in Bulbapedia.

Further, even Palkia is surpassed by Mega forms, let alone Vaporeon.

From there, Swampert-Mega, and Blastoise-Mega with Hydro Cannon are still surpassed by Kyogre-Primal.
