Stoutland @ Choice Band
Ability: Scrappy
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Return
- Superpower
- Pursuit
- Facade
Stoutland has a great base 110 Attack backed up with decent bulk and speed alongside the ability Scrappy. This means it can spam its Normal-type STAB moves without fearing the common Ghost-types like Jellicent, Sableye, and Froslass, which are also trapped with Pursuit. Stoutland also doesn't mind being afflicted with status with Facade, as it will give Stoutland an even more powerful attack. Choice Band with an Adamant nature maximizes Stoutland’s damage output, making it a powerful wallbreaker. Stoutland appreciates Pokemon that can take on Fighting-types, like Silvally-Fairy. Fighting-types like Primeape threaten Steel- and Rock-types, allowing Stoutland to spam Return more easily. It also appreciates slow VoltTurn support from the likes of Mesprit and Eelektross to prevent unnecessary damage, with the former providing Stealth Rock, Healing Wish, and a Fighting check. Sweepers like Liligant and Alolan Raichu also appreciate Stoutland weakening their checks like Articuno and Eelektross.
