CaP 25 F Prevo - Pokedex Submissions

Hey all! Let's get some Dex entries up in here! We are finally coming to a close on this monster project. CaP Main made 3 Pokemon, we've made SIX!

I'll be accepting both dex entries in the single thread! This means you can have 3 WIPS for each Pokemon! I am also accepting Final Submissions from the start of this thread! I will discuss with other mods how we will do the polls for these, but I will be leaning towards separate polls for each Pokemon (no linking). I would also like some suggested heights and weights for Pokemon so I can have some idea of how big you think these Pokemon should be!

Dex entries for Smokomodo are as follows:

Smokomodo, the Pyroclastic Pokémon

Sun: Magma courses through its entire body. It emits smoke from its back to help regulate body temperature.

Moon: Beneath its stubborn facade is a clever and crafty Pokémon. Hiding within a cloud of smog, it adeptly uses its limbs and long tail to subdue prey.

Ultra Sun: It nests in caverns deep within active volcanoes. By using the vents on its back to propel itself, Smokomodo can quickly traverse the craggy terrain to seek out new territory.

Ultra Moon: The veins on its body change color based on its mood. Bright red is a sign of hostility, while a flickering yellow signals trust to its Trainer.

Legal Pokedex submissions must meet the following standards

• Pokedex Entries must have flawless grammar. Smogon has a Grammar & Prose team that will help identify mistakes.
• Pokedex Entries cannot be longer than 32 words.
• Pokedex Entries can only contain the following characters:
  • Letters A-Z
  • Numbers 0-9
  • Dash (-)
  • Apostrophe (')
  • Double quote (")
  • Period (.)
  • Comma (,)
  • Colon (:)
  • Semi-colon (;)
  • Space

Work In Progress (WIP) Pokedex Entries can be posted at any time for comments from the community.

No more than three WIP Pokedex Entries can be posted by any individual person through the entire course of the submission thread. This limit applies to ALL posts made by a single person, even if previous posts are edited or deleted. This limit is intended to curb the tendency for some submitters to spam the thread repeatedly with multiple Pokedex Entries. This detracts from other submissions and makes it difficult for commenters to survey the submission thread.

Do not bump your WIP Pokedex Entries by posting them repeatedly, or making minor wording changes. Bumping will result in the disqualification of all Pokedex Entries by the offender. Editing or deleting bump posts will not prevent disqualification.

Only ONE Final Submission can be made per person.

Pokedex Entry Final Submissions can only be posted after a CAP Moderator posts in the thread that final submissions are open. Any final submission posted prior to the Moderator notification post, will disqualify the submitter from the poll entirely. Even if the offending post is edited later or deleted, the submitter will still be disqualified for the remainder of the thread. This ensures that all submitters have equal opportunity to post final submissions without anyone unfairly "jumping the gun".

Pokedex entries Final Submissions must posted exactly in the following format and in the following exact order:

• The first line of the post must have the words "Final Submission" in bold on it's own line. No other text may be included before the bold heading.
• A blank line
• "<Pokemon Name>, the <Species Name> Pokemon", with the Pokemon name and the Species Name in bold
• A blank line
• The Sun Pokedex Entry submission. Start with the letters "Sun" in bold, then a colon (:), and then the Pokedex entry.
• A blank line
• The Moon Pokedex Entry submission. Start with the letters "Moon" in bold, then a colon (:), and then the Pokedex entry.
• A blank line
• The Ultra Sun Pokedex Entry submission. Start with the letters "Ultra Sun" in bold, then a colon (:), and then the Pokedex entry.
• A blank line
• The Ultra Moon Pokedex Entry submission. Start with the letters "Ultra Moon" in bold, then a colon (:), and then the Pokedex entry.

Magearna, the Artificial Pokémon

Sun: This artificial Pokémon, constructed more than 500 years ago, can understand human speech but cannot itself speak.

Moon: Its mechanized body is merely a vessel. Its true self is its Soul-Heart, an artificial soul.

Ultra Sun: It synchronizes its consciousness with others to understand their feelings. This faculty makes it useful for taking care of people.

Ultra Moon: Built roughly 500 years ago by a scientist, the part called the Soul-Heart is the actual life-form.

Any Final Submission that does not follow the proper format will be disqualified.

Smogecko, the Small Flare Pokémon

Sun: Although they are prone to overheating, Smogecko can release flames from its tongue to lower its temperature.

Moon: Incredibly curious, they will stop at nothing to answer their questions. This can prove hazardous to their trainer.

Ultra Sun: Young Smogecko are very playful, and hard to control. If one manages to get away from its trainer, it can cause immeasurable chaos.

Ultra Moon: They have an incredible sense of smell, and can find their trainer from miles away.

Smogecko, the Flame Lick Pokémon

Sun: When a Smogecko sticks its tongue out, it's not being rude. Because its tongue has many heat and smell receptors, it uses it as its primary tool for sensing its environment.

Moon: Its saliva burns upon exposure to air. Lacking teeth, it smears its spittle on prey and melts it down, so it can swallow it more easily - alive or otherwise.

Ultra Sun: Their eggs are laid in pools of lava to keep them safe. They will remain near their birthplace for as long as they can, picking off prey that's succumbed to the heat.

Ultra Moon: Its sharp claws give it a firm grip on most surfaces and can heat up when attacking. It marks its favorite place to sun itself by gouging scratches into it.

Smogecko,the Heat Lizard Pokémon

Sun:Smogecko is a very timid Pokémon when near humans.They have bad eyesight but can still see,though they usually use their extremely sensitive noses to find prey.

Moon:It's claws can become red-hot.It's claws when red-hot make quick work of prey.Smogecko is a pack hunter and it's body temperature will rise rapidly if separated from it's pack, which can be fatal.

Ultra Sun:Smogecko can burn down a small bush just by bumping into it.This is due to the fact that it has a high body temperature.
It's tail can be used as a weapon beacause it has hidden spikes.

Ultra Moon:Smogecko's tounge is it's hidden weapon.It's tounge is so hot that it can be used to start a small forest fire.Smogecko is very vulnerable when it is sleeping because of it's soft belly,so it curls up while sleeping so it's tough scales can protect it.

Smoguana, the Spitfire pokemon

Sun: Smoguana's main diet consists predominantly of volcanic rock that had recently cooled down. No wonder their bones look as though they were formed in a volcano.

Moon: Smoguana have to emit as much smoke as they do just to cool off, otherwise, they'll die from heatstroke. Though Smoguana can stay relatively cool for prolonged periods.

Ultra Sun: Sometimes Smoguana emit so much more smoke than it needs to so that they may either escape from potential predators, or hone their ambush hunting techniques against potential prey.

Ultra Moon: Entire gatherings of Smoguana are often seen practicing their fighting skills clouded in smoke to hone their abilities. This may prove itself very important further down the line.

Smogecko, the Sizzling Pokémon

Sun: Smogecko has a knack of bumping into objects due to its natural clumsiness. These objects also tend to spontaneously burst into flames!

Moon: They are often found sticking out their tongues. They do this not only to help track food, but to also cool themselves down.

Ultra Sun: They gather in large groups to play in hot springs and sulphur baths. If one is not careful, an innocent Smogecko might lead a trainer to a nasty surprise.

Ultra Moon: Its saliva has been recorded to hit temperatures as high as lava. They don't seem to mind however, as they frequently lick each other.

Smoguana, the Smoldering Pokémon

Sun: Smoguana's mood is as unpredictable as a volcano! If angered, it will rapidly change its colours and quite literally blow its top!

Moon: Its claws are razor-sharp and can be heated to extreme temperatures at will. Once heated, they can cut through rocks like butter.

Ultra Sun: If they feel threatened, Smoguana will expel massive volumes of toxic volcanic gases, then flee in the confusion.

Ultra Moon: The primary use of its vent is to control its body temperature. It often proves inefficient in stressful scenarios though, which leads to overheating.
