[SET COMMENTS]
Jellicent's solid bulk and auspicious typing make it RarelyUsed's premier defensive Water-type, able to check a large number of physical and special attackers, including Passimian, Bewear, Salazzle, and Charizard. Will-O-Wisp is chosen over another status-inducing move to further Jellicent's role of checking physical attackers. 96 Speed EVs allow Jellicent to use Taunt on maximum Speed Adamant Rhydon before it can use Stealth Rock or Swords Dance. Taunt also allows Jellicent to shut down slower defensive Pokemon that rely on Toxic, like Mudsdale, Gastrodon, and Weezing. Strength Sap can be used over Recover to further cripple physical attackers, but the reliability of Recover is preferred in most scenarios, seeing as Jellicent is used to check many special attackers as well. It also can trigger Vileplume's Effect Spore, making it an even better switch-in to Jellicent. Colbur Berry makes Jellicent's job of checking Fighting-types easier, but Leftovers can be used for more passive recovery to keep Jellicent healthy over the course of the game.

Vileplume partners excellently with Jellicent, as it can take on the Grass-types that threaten Jellicent, such as Rillaboom, Dhelmise, and opposing Vileplume. In return, Jellicent can take on Fire-types like Salazzle and Charizard. Other Pokemon that appreciate Jellicent's ability to dominate Fire-types, namely Steel- and Grass- types like Copperajah, Escavalier, Steelix, and Rillaboom, work well as teammates. These Steel-types also enjoy Jellicent reliably taking on Fighting-types such as Bewear and Passimian, and in return they can switch into Toxic and check Grass-types. Electric-types such as Rotom, Alolan Raichu, and Galvantula threaten Jellicent greatly, so faster Pokemon that can offensively check them, like Salazzle and Choice Scarf Passimian make good partners.

ability: Water Absorb honestly i don't see any reason to run water absorb over cursed body on bulky jelli. cursed body works really well in tandem with its bulk often getting it the upper hand in many mid-to-late game scenarios, and the recovery from water moves isn't a big deal at all when u can already switch in and recover on most water types comfortably
nature: Bold
evs: 252 HP / 160 Def / 92 Spe

regarding moves, idt taunt is always necessary, i really like toxic as a 4th moveslot, and i'd definitely slash hex with scald or will-o it's super good

Jellicent's solid bulk and auspicious typing allow it to function as RarelyUsed's premier defensive water, able to check a large number of physical and special attackers, like Passimian, Bewear, Salazzle, and Charizard. well, it doesn't switch into subtox lazzle Colbur Berry makes Jellicent's job of checking Fighting-types easier, allowing it to more easily handle their common Dark-type coverage moves, but Leftovers can be used for more passive recovery to keep Jellicent healthy over the course of the game. item mentions should come after moves Will-O-Wisp is chosen over another status-inducing move to further Jellicent's role of checking physical attackers. 92 Speed EVs allow Jellicent to get the jump on max Speed Adamant Rhydon and Taunt it, preventing it from setting up Stealth Rock or Swords Dance. unless ur team is super rocks weak i think its better to just invest more evs into defense, or maybe there's a better example to justify speed investment bc rhydon really isnt an issue to jelli it dies to scald The rest of the EVs are put into Defense to ease switching in to physical attackers as much as possible. fluff Taunt can also allow Jellicent to shut down many slower defensive Pokemon, like Mudsdale, Gastrodon, and Weezing to make poisoning Jellicent with Toxic much more difficult.

although it's definitely not slash worthy, consider mentioning ssap

Growth Vileplume not only growth, any plume set really partners excellently with Jellicent, as it can take on the Grass-types that threaten Jellicent, such as Rillaboom, Dhelmise, and opposing Vileplume. In return, Jellicent can take on Fire-types that threaten Vileplume. some examples here would come in handy bc there are fire types that jelli doesnt handle comfortably, like ninetales Teammates that appreciate Jellicent's ability to dominate Fire-types, namely Steel- and Grass- types like Copperajah, Escavalier, Steelix, and Rillaboom, work well as teammates. These Steel-types also enjoy Jellicent reliably taking on Fighting-types such as Bewear and Passimian. what do they do for jelli in return? Electric-types such as Rotom, Alolan Raichu, and and Galvantula can threaten Jellicent greatly, so Ground-type Pokemon that can take them on, such as Steelix, Gastrodon, and Claydol also help greatly. claydol really doesn't have a good mu against any of the aforementioned elec-types, and gastro overlaps with jellicent in addition to dying to grass coverage from alolachu and galv. passimian is definitely worth a mention as a partner as it can offensively check all three elecs above, and jelli can really help with mons that annoy it like mudsdale, as well as xatu if running hex.
