Palkia getting good this gen basically boils down to having a much more valued speed tier - nothing that wants to switch in outspeeds it so and nothing really takes two hits from palkia all that well. No arceus or primal groudon really limits the pool of mons which can take a hit from palkia, it's fire/elec/water/dragon hits almost everything hard, making it a great wallbreaker. Defensively it checks Kyogre.
