Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Second try with Armorouge after failing due to some idiot bringing an Iron Moth... and, granted, holding Light Clay over Shell Bell when I had no other recovery.
Armorouge @ Shell Bell
Modest Nature
Trait: Flash Fire
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 SpAtk/SpDef
~ Clear Smog
~ Light Screen
~...
So basically it'd be prudent to catch every 5* Raid just to be sure thanks to Game Freak's annoyingly usual incompetence.
I swear to Arceus, if I encountered a shiny and didn't know it imma be saltier than Garganacl
I had at least three 5* Raids when I checked today, though my question is if sparkles show up if the little idiot is shiny given this is one of those Pokémon with hardly any difference between colorations.
Won first try with the following:
:SV/Appletun:
@ Leftovers (Light Clay is also a possibility, since you have Giga Drain)
Bold Nature
Trait: Thick Fat (not that it matters)
Tera Type: Grass (same here, for the most part, but helps avoid Wood Hammer + EQ)
252 HP/Def, 4 SpAtk
~ Apple Acid
~ Giga...
I can confirm that Storm Drain Gastrodon is very useful. I went Calm 252 HP/SpDef, but given that Greninja very often chooses Night Slash against you, Bold 252 Def might be better (it did try Ice Beam once or twice though). I won on my first attempt thanks to a Stored Power Slowbro partner, but...
Got my ass kicked a bunch but after theorymon-ing a little (I know, I know), I stumbled upon a potential set:
Torkoal @ Leftovers / Ability Shield
Bold Nature
Trait: Shell Armor
EVs: 252 HP, 252 Def, 4 SpAtk
~ Clear Smog
~ Lava Plume / Will-O-Wisp
~ Iron Defense
~ Body Press
Basically you sit...
Just finished the story with this team, and I gotta say that this gen went hard with the new designs. And yes, I can already hear you yelling that Copperajah was introduced last gen. Originally I wanted Clodsire in that slot but it didn't quite pull its weight and I found a shiny Cufant so I...
I was training a Charizard in ORAS. I had just fought the Gentleman on Route 121, and Zard was paralyzed from his Manectric. I just needed a little more experience to level up so I walked around for a wild encounter.
Found a wild Shuppet, which would work.... only it didn't.
RNGesus decided...
Why didn't the Scorbunny line get Blaze Kick via level-up? It makes perfect sense thematically and would've helped bridge the STAB gap between Flame Charge and Pyro Ball. Sure, you can make the argument that this situation incentives collecting TRs but I think it would've been better as a...
I would like to please request for my username to be changed to Lightning Energy. This current name is old and frankly embarrassing, and I go by Lightning Energy on other websites. Thank you!

Hop uses Snorlax when he already has Dubwool, which he's more associated with. Snorlax could've been replaced with something else -- like one of the rarer Fossils depending on your version -- so he's not throwing out two bulky Normal-types and getting beef for being a "boring, friendly rival".
This might just be me but I really really wish the lightning bolt on Electric's SWSH icon was mirrored vertically. Generally, every other depiction of a lightning bolt in media points to the left (even the New Posts button on the forums do so), but Pokémon bucking this trend bothers me to no end.
Bulbapedia says that in Gen VIII, the rate of encountering a shiny Pokemon increases depending on the number of times a Pokemon has been encountered.
Does this mean the number of times I enter a wild battle against any Pokemon, or do I have to KO the specific Pokemon I'm hunting for the rate to...
The Ability "Sap Sipper" being so named in English localizations. The original name of "Herbivorous" fits better for the Pokemon with this Ability, like Bouffalant and Goodra.
If someone said, "But kids wouldn't understand that", a) you're underestimating kids' intelligence, and b) if it had...
