I like possibilities. New gens are exciting. Then they get all weird when strategies start settling and some start dominating and people start calling for bans. And bans are ew. Gen 5 had an absolute bogus number of bans. Justified or not, they ruined the gen for me.
Any avid user of sun knows that your team slots are heavily limited, so having one thing that can play TWO important roles is important. With Starmie, you're only limited to spinning. I agree that Starmie is the more reliable spinner, but Donphan is still a very good choice for sun teams, and I don't think that people should neccesarily use Starmie over Donphan on sun teams in most cases.
Thanks for that! I'm not really comfortable putting it in the OP though because Donphan and Starmie provide entirely different niches on specific sun teams, and they're almost uncomparable. Donphan is more fit on sun teams overall because of its very useful Rock-type resist and the ability to not only spin, but also use Stealth Rock.

Fariyceus will be a better offensive typing than Dragon, seeing how it's super-effective to the majority of Ubers (Dragon and Dark), while not having notable weakness. Probably the new Dragon imo
