    Hey, even if you are a cartridge player (which I have no problem with, EVing and RNGing is just for very patient people and I am not one of them), it's still useful to playtest a team using simulators (which is the main reason PS simulates official formats as well as Smogon formats). Otherwise you could be wasting ages "perfecting" a team that isn't very good. Just a piece of advice, take it or leave it.

    I have no issue with people practising, I just find it a little sad that we all go out and buy these games, spend 100+ hours raising a team, then we all use cookie-cutter mons in Showdown, (which I'm genuinely shocked Nintendo hasn't sued into the floor already).

    I was quite surprised to see eight alerts today. I kind of forgot about this conversation, since you clearly don't frequent Smogon enough to respond quickly. Though it's quite clear from your comments that you have a very limited and biased view of Smogon.

    We don't ban things for no reason, we ban them because they are too powerful and over-centralizing. We don't force people to use certain pokemon, they just do because that's what is best to use, and the metagame is naturally created out of that.

    And we don't force people to "conform" either. It's just that Smogon was built up over the years by logical decisions made by our members as a group, and for someone completely new to Smogon to come along and claim they alone know exactly how the metagame should work and that everything we've created over the years is completley stupid... you're going to get some bad looks, to say the least.

    About your thread that got locked, your arguement was based on the definition of what was possible, not what was either competitive or optimal. (well fun) Technically you are right that people could get around Evasion, but that's all through luck. Mewtwo? That would lead to overcentralization, which is one of the things Smogon claims to avoid.

    Thanks for the comment but you, like most on this site, are still not listening; or at the very least, you're not taking in what I'm saying. No it's not "all through luck", and if you understood what I was explaining; you, and the rest of Smogon, wouldn't keep saying that.
    Clearly people aren't welcome here if they don't conform, I got that by the fact that my thread was closed and my opinion squashed.

    I just got banned for a few weeks for not agreeing with them. I honestly think these people hate anyone who doesn't agree with them, their sets are garbage, and all the mods are more corrupt then you think. If you say anything that isn't "this Smogon set is not 2hkod by" people assume you're new and mods infract/ban for it.

    I am really sorry if I have offended you. I promise you I only lost my temper because I had seen five or six other newcomers before you claiming that they know best and I had got bored of it. I do sometimes find it difficult to remember that anonymous people on the internet are real people too, with real human feelings. I hope I haven't driven you away. If you do come back to Smogon, have fun playing :)
