    fwiw I'm sorry if you found my post in that thread rude, as I really don't have anything against you and don't mean to offend... it's just that I'm quite opinionated on the matter and, well, the stuff I brought up in my post was bothering me and that probably bled into the tone of my post

    It's fine. I've never been very adept at debating through text because I don't plan out my format ahead of time. In real life, I start talking and try to work my way through it as I go, gauging people's reactions and questions on the fly and trying to roll with them. This is clearly not a good strategy on the internet, but I'm of course old and stubborn and can't be bothered to change my approach. My post was intended to be how I personally perceive the idea of faith based on my experiences, both my own and of those I have met and interacted with. I'm not a theology scholar, nor am I a scientist. I'm just an average guy with some life experience trying to make sense of all I've seen. Sorry if you felt attacked, that was not my intention either.

    thanks vadre! they're not too bad, just energetic so I'm pretty busy. Youngest is almost a year now so time is moving right along!
