RU Lycanroc-Dusk

[OVERVIEW]

Due to its access to Tough Claws, Swords Dance and a powerful exclusive Z-Move in Splintered Stormshards, Lycanroc-D can be a fearsome wallbreaker that is able to open holes in defensive teams, crippling or KOing the likes of Bewear, Bronzong, and Milotic. Lycanroc-D also has unique access to Rock-type priority in Accelerock, which lets it revenge kill the likes of Swellow and Salazzle. It can also run Sucker Punch to hit the likes of Choice Scarf Flygon, Choice Scarf Medicham, and Zygarde-10% neutrally. Unfortunately, Lycanroc-D relies on low-Base Power moves such as Fire Fang and Drill Run to break through some of its checks that need to be weakened before it is able to sweep. Due to its poor bulk, it doesn't offer much defensive utility, being unable to set up properly even against Fire-type Pokemon such as Ninetales, which Lycanroc-D can't take despite resisting them, due to their additional coverage. Lycanroc-D also cannot set up against some of the most relevant defensive Pokemon in the tier, including Mega Steelix, Milotic, and Foul Play Mandibuzz. Another problem is the amount of support Lycanroc-D needs to work; although it can be very strong after a Swords Dance, it usually cannot set up properly without taking a big hit, needing support from pivoting, dual screens, or Memento to set up safely and stay healthy.

Moves
========

Swords Dance allows Lycanroc-D to punch holes into defensive cores with Stone Edge or Splintered Stormshards. Stone Edge is Lycanroc-D's main STAB move, 2HKOing the likes of Milotic, Gligar, Bewear, and Cresselia after a Swords Dance boost when boosted by a Life Orb. It also can turn into Splintered Stormshards when Lycanroc-D is holding a Lycanium Z, which allows it to OHKO them right away after Stealth Rock damage. Fire Fang lets Lycanroc-D deal with Chesnaught and Bronzong after a Swords Dance boost while also doing good damage to Bewear. Drill Run is an option over Fire Fang to guarantee an OHKO on Pokemon such as Registeel and Nidoqueen while also offering greater damage against the likes of Rhyperior, Doublade, and Mega Steelix. Sucker Punch is Lycanroc-D's main form of priority, allowing it to OHKO Choice Scarf Flygon, Gardevoir, and Zygarde-10% after a boost. Accelerock is a STAB priority option that allows Lycanroc-D to beat Noivern when unboosted after Stealth Rock damage as well as deal with Salazzle and Swellow better.

Set Details
========

Maximum investment in Speed and Attack with a Jolly nature lets Lycanroc-D be as fast and as powerful as it can. A Life Orb is the main item option to increase Lycanroc-D's power, which allows Sucker Punch and Accelerock to achieve essential KOs, such as unboosted Accelerock KOing Noivern after Stealth Rock, unboosted Accelerock OHKOing Salazzle, and boosted Sucker Punch OHKOing the likes of Choice Scarf Gardevoir and Zygarde-10%. Lycanium Z is an option to beat the likes of Milotic, Cresselia, Gligar, Bewear, and Bronzong with Splintered Stormshards after some chip damage. Tough Claws is Lycanroc-D's only ability and is essential to Fire Fang and Sucker Punch's power.

Usage Tips
========

Avoid being statused by the likes of Porygon2's Thunder Wave and Choice Scarf Gardevoir’s Will-O-Wisp, since they cripple Lycanroc-D and it's ability to fire off Life Orb-boosted attacks. Use Swords Dance on forced switches against foes like Ninetales and Salazzle. Despite Lycanroc-D's poor bulk, it can still set up freely against Pokemon like Noivern and Salazzle. Before sending Lycanroc-D in to sweep, make sure to weaken some of its switch-ins, such as Rhyperior, Mega Steelix, and Bewear.

Team Options
========

Pivoting is essential with Lycanroc-D, since it has problems switching into virtually anything. U-turn or Volt Switch support from the likes of Gligar, Flygon, Rotom-C, and Mega Ampharos is very appreciated. Memento support from the likes of Uxie, Choice Scarf Gardevoir, and Whimsicott is also nice, since it lets Lycanroc set up safely against almost anything that comes into field. Wallbreakers such as Ninetales, Bewear, and Zygarde-10% make Lycanroc-D's life easier, since they can weaken Lycanroc-D's checks so it can clean up later in the game. Pokemon that resist Water-, Ground-, and Fighting-type moves are essential when running Lycanroc-D. Shaymin, Virizion, and Gligar are good options that can help break cores and offer utility options. It's nice to pair Lycanroc-D with offensive Pokemon that take advantage of some of the defensive threats that Lycanroc-D can break through, such as Choice Scarf Gardevoir, Tyrantrum, and Zygarde-10%. Support like dual screens from Uxie and Meowstic and Spikes from Mega Glalie and Chesnaught is appreciated, as it allows Lycanroc-D to set up more safely and wear down its checks.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Crunch can be used to hit Bronzong and Doublade harder, but it is outclassed by Fire Fang and Drill Run's range of targets. Lycanroc-D can opt for a suicide lead set with Focus Sash, Stealth Rock, Taunt, Accelerock, and Endeavor as an option for hyper offensive teams, but it is a suboptimal set due to the availability of better suicide leads such as Archeops, Froslass, and Aerodactyl.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Steel-types**: Although Lycanroc-D has the coverage to threaten them, Bronzong, Doublade, and Mega Steelix can usually take an unboosted hit and retaliate with Gyro Ball, Iron Head, or Heavy Slam.

**Fighting-types**: Virizion, Bewear, Chesnaught, and Pangoro can take any unboosted hit and defeat Lycanroc-D with their STAB attacks, usually recovering some HP in the process.

**Ground-types**: The likes of Rhyperior, Gligar, and Donphan can take any hit from Lycanroc-D and set up Stealth Rock, remove entry hazards wth Defog, or OHKO it with their STAB moves.

**Faster Attackers**: Choice Scarf Tyrantrum, Choice Scarf Flygon, and Zygarde-10% outspeed Lycanroc-D and can OHKO it, but the latter two are OHKOed by a boosted Life Orb Sucker Punch.

**Priority Moves**: Choice Band Golisopod can revenge kill Lycanroc-D in a single blow with First Impression due to its higher priority than Sucker Punch or Accelerock. Machamp, Medicham, and Pangoro can revenge kill Lycanroc-D after Stealth Rock damage with Bullet Punch.

what other examples are there? you should also specify goli wins cuz of +2 first impression vs +1 accelerock, not many other priority users can beat lycanroc

It is also very weak against priority users, falling apart against Golisopod, due to a higher priority move in First Impression. the only priority users that actually hit lycanroc are golisopod, sneasel, and comfey and the rest are either hit by its own priority (eg honch glalie) or win because of type advantage anyways (doub, bp fighters) so id either remove this bullet point or elaborate on it more Another problem that comes with Lycanroc-D is the amount of support it needs to work; although it can be very strong after a Swords Dance, it usually cannot setup properly without taking a big hit, needing support from pivoting, Screens, or Memento to setup safely and stay healthy.

Max investment in Speed and Attack with a Jolly Nature lets Lycanroc-D hit as fast and powerful as it can. Life Orb is the main item option due to it's Power increase, that allows Sucker Punch and Accelerock to achieve essential KOs. Lycanium Z is an option to beat the likes of Milotic, Cresselia, Gligar, Bewear and Bronzong with Splintered Stormshards after some chip damage. Tough Claws is Lycanroc-D's only ability and it's essential to Fire Fang and Sucker Punch's power.

lycan z is far more valuable imo but up to other qc members

Usage Tips
========

Avoid being statused from the likes of Moltres' Toxic it isnt really as crippled by toxic because its so frail anyways, mention twave from p2 instead or Entei Sacred Fire's Burns, since they can cripple Lycanroc-D's power and durability to fire off Life Orb-boosted attacks. Use Swords Dance in forced switches against the likes of Entei and Ninetales. Despite Lycanroc-D's poor bulk, it can still set up freely against Pokémon like Noivern, Choice Scarf Moltres and Salazzle. Before sending Lycanroc-D to sweep, make sure to weaken some of it's sturdiest resists, such as Rhyperior, Steelix-Mega, and Bewear.

Team Options
========

Pivoting is essential with Lycanroc-D, since it has problems switching into virtually anything. Pivoting from the likes of Gligar, Flygon, Rotom-Mow and Mega Ampharos is very appreciated. Memento support from the likes of Uxie, Choice Scarf Gardevoir and Whimsicott is also nice, since it lets Lycanroc setup safely against almost anything that comes into field. Wallbreakers such as Ninetales, Bewear and Zygarde-10% make Lycanroc-D's life easier, since they can weaken Lycanroc-D's checks, so it can clean up later in the game. Resists to Water-, Ground- and Fighting-type moves are essential when running Lycanroc-D. Shaymin, Virizion and Gligar are good options that can help breaking cores or with utility options. Its nice to pair Lycanroc-D with offensive options that abuse some of the defensive Pokémon which Lycanroc-D can power through, such as Choice Scarf Gardevoir, Tyrantrum, Moltres, and Zygarde-10%. add a point here for screens setters (meowstic m and uxie) as well as spikes which wears down doub / lix / ches

Crunch can be used as an option to hit Bronzong and Doublade harder, but it is straight outclassed by Fire Fang and Drill Run's range of targets. Lycanroc-D can opt for a suicide lead set with Focus Sash and Stealth Rock, Taunt, Accelerock, and Endeavor, as an option for Hyper Offensive teams. suicide lead lycanroc is horrendous and u should mention its borderline useless compared to archeops / kabutops / aerodactyl / froslass

Checks and Counters
===================

**Steel-types**: Although Lycanroc-D has the coverage to threat them, the likes of Bronzong, Doublade, and Mega Steelix can usually take an unboosted hit and retaliate with Gyro Ball, Iron Head or Heavy Slam.

**Fighting-types**: Virizion, Bewear, Chesnaught, and Pangoro can take any unboosted hit and defeat Lycanroc-D with their STAB attacks, usually recovering some HP in the process.

**Ground-types**: The likes of Rhyperior, Gligar and Donphan can take any hit from Lycanroc-D and set up Stealth Rock, Defog or OHKO it with STAB moves.

you could probably compress these into rock resists but also mention lycanroc has the coverage to beat them if theyve been weakened

**Faster Attackers**: Choice Scarf Tyrantrum, Choice Scarf Flygon, and Zygarde-10% outspeed Lycanroc-D and can OHKO it, but the latter two are OHKOed by Life Orb Sucker Punch when boosted.

**Priority Moves**: Choice Band Golisopod can revenge kill Lycanroc-D in a single blow with First Impression, due to First Impression's higher priority than Sucker Punch or Accelerock. Machamp and Pangoro can revenge kill Lycanroc-D after Stealth Rock damage with Bullet Punch. add medi to bp users (or fast users too cause scarf)

- I like the bit of advice from zizalith on the overview so retouch that a bit based on his info. The rest is fine (Life Orb is more valuable than Lycanium atm, due to the unboosted calcs).

- Speaking of which, it is important to point which "essential KOs" life orb achieves. This one is a really important one that should be noted:

252 Atk Life Orb Tough Claws Lycanroc-Dusk Accelerock vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Noivern: 250-296 (80.3 - 95.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

KOing Noivern after Stealth Rock damage is fantastic for the type of teams you would see Lycanroc-Dusk so point it out and that it kills Salazzle from full, unlike Lycanium where you need a max roll.

QC 3/3 when implemented. Great job.

Lycanroc-D also has access to unique Rock-type priority in Accelerock, what lets it revenge kill the likes of Scarf Moltres, Entei and Salazzle.
That should be "which", not "what", and I think writing "Choice Scarf" out fully is better than just putting "Scarf".

but it is straight outclassed
Shouldn't that be "straight up" and not just "straight"?

Those are my suggestions for improving this, of course.

[OVERVIEW]

Due Thanks (Generally you want to use "thanks" when talking about positives and "due" when talking about negatives) to the access its (reference for the rest of this check: the word "its" is used for ownership, and "it's" translates to it is.) Tough Claws, Swords Dance and a powerful exclusive Z-Move in Splintered Stormshards, Lycanroc-D can be a fearsome wallbreaker, being able to open holes in defensive teams against the likes of Bewear, Bronzong, and Milotic. Due to it's its poor bulk, it doesn't add offer much in (Defensive utility is more specific to the Pokemon rather than to the team) defensive utility, being unable to setup set up (reference for the rest of this check: "set up" is the verb version, and "setup" is used when talking about nouns.) properly even against Fire-types moves from the likes of Entei and Ninetales, which Lycanroc-D can't take despite having a resist resisting Fire-type moves (Generally you want to be specific, in this case, having a resist to what?), due to burns and coverage. Lycanroc-D also cannot setup set up against some of the most relevant defensive Pokémon Pokemon (when writing an analysis, you want to use Pokemon over Pokémon.) in the tier, including Foul Play Mandibuzz, Milotic and Mega Steelix. Another problem that comes with Lycanroc-D Lycanroc-D has is the amount of support it needs to work; although it can be very strong after a Swords Dance, it usually cannot setup set up properly without taking a big hit, needing support from pivoting, Screens dual screens (dual screens is the term used over Screens when writing an analysis), or Memento to setup set up safely and stay healthy.

Swords Dance is the main niche of the set and as it (this change reflects that you are describing the niche that Swords Dance has.) allows Lycanroc-D to punch holes into defensive cores with Stone Edge or Splintered Stormshards. Stone Edge is Lycanroc-D's main STAB move, 2HKOing the likes of Milotic, Gligar, Bewear, and Cresselia after a Swords Dance boost when pairing giving it ("Pairing" is for putting two Pokemon together, so "giving" would be a better term to use for items.) a Life Orb. Max investment in Speed and Attack with a Jolly Nature lets Lycanroc-D hit be as (you can't really hit fast, a different thing you could do is change fast to quick instead.) fast and as powerful as it can. Lycanroc-D also has unique access to unique Rock-type priority in Accelerock, what which lets it revenge kill the likes of Scarf Moltres, Entei and Salazzle. It can also run Sucker Punch to hit neutrally the likes of Choice Scarf Flygon, Choice Scarf Medicham, (AC) and Zygarde-10% neutrally. Unfortunately, Lycanroc-D relies on low-Base (AH, compound adjective) Power moves such as Fire Fang and Drill Run to break through some of it's its checks (RC) that need to be weakened before Lycanroc-D is able to sweep. Due to it's its poor bulk, it doesn't add offer much in (Defensive utility is more specific to the Pokemon rather than to the team) defensive utility, being unable to setup set up (reference for the rest of this check: "set up" is the verb version, and "setup" is used when talking about nouns.) properly even against Fire-types moves from the likes of Entei and Ninetales, which Lycanroc-D can't take despite having a resist resisting them, due to burns and their additional coverage and Sacred Fire's burn chance. Lycanroc-D also cannot setup set up against some of the most relevant defensive Pokémon Pokemon (when writing an analysis, you want to use Pokemon over Pokémon.) in the tier, including Foul Play Mandibuzz, Milotic, (AC) and Mega Steelix. Another problem that comes with Lycanroc-D is the amount of support it Lycanroc-D needs to work; although it can be very strong after a Swords Dance, it usually cannot setup set up properly without taking a big hit, needing support from pivoting, Screens dual screens (dual screens is the term used over Screens when writing an analysis), or Memento to setup set up safely and stay healthy.

Moves
========

Swords Dance is the main niche of the set and allows Lycanroc-D to punch holes into defensive cores with Stone Edge or Splintered Stormshards. Stone Edge is Lycanroc-D's main STAB move, 2HKOing the likes of Milotic, Gligar, Bewear, and Cresselia after a Swords Dance boost when pairing boosted by a Life Orb. It also turns into Splintered Stormshards when Lycanroc-D is holding a Lycanium Z, what which allows it to OHKO them right away after Stealth Rock damage. Fire Fang lets Lycanroc-D deal with Chesnaught and Bronzong after a Swords Dance boost (RC) while also doing good damage to Bewear. Drill Run is an option over Fire Fang to guaranteee guarantee an OHKO on Pokémon Pokemon such as Registeel and Nidoqueen (RC) while also offering greater damage against the likes of Rhyperior, Doublade and Mega Steelix. Sucker Punch is Lycanroc-D's main form of priority, allowing it to OHKO Choice Scarf Flygon, Gardevoir, (AC) and Zygarde-10% after a boost. Accelerock is a STAB priority option that allows Lycanroc-D to beat Noivern when unboosted, after Stealth Rock damage, and also better dealing as well as deal better with the likes of Salazzle and Swellow.

Maximum investment in Speed and Attack with a Jolly nature lets Lycanroc-D hit be as (you can't really hit fast, a different thing you could do is change fast to quick instead.) (change works, "hit fast" and "hit quickly" are interchangeable though and neither is rly wrong, alternate fix is just 'hit as fast and as hard as it can", the actual issue was with "hit powerful") fast and as powerful as it can. Life Orb is the main item option to it's Power increase increase Lycanroc-D's power, that which allows Sucker Punch and Accelerock to achieve essential KOs, such as unboosted Accelerock KOing Noivern after Stealth Rock and (this was not the end of the list.) OHKOing Salazzle, and boosted Sucker Punch OHKOing the likes of Choice Scarf Gardevoir and Zygarde-10%. Lycanium Z is an option to beat the likes of Milotic, Cresselia, Gligar, Bewear, (AC) and Bronzong with Splintered Stormshards after some chip damage. Tough Claws is Lycanroc-D's only ability and it's is essential to Fire Fang and Sucker Punch's power.

Usage Tips
========

Avoid being statused from by the likes of Porygon2's Thunder Wave or Entei Sacred Fire's Entei's Sacred Fire Burns, since they can (Since you wrote about Sacred Fire burning, you don't need the "can".) cripple Lycanroc-D's power and durability ability to fire off Life Orb-boosted attacks. Use Swords Dance in on forced switches against the likes of Entei and Ninetales. Despite Lycanroc-D's poor bulk, it can still set up freely against Pokémon Pokemon like Noivern, Choice Scarf Moltres and Salazzle. Before sending Lycanroc-D in to sweep, make sure to weaken some of it's its sturdiest resists checks/ counters / switch-ins / anything but "resist", such as Rhyperior, Steelix-Mega Mega Steelix (When talking about Mega Pokemon, It is always formatted as "Mega N" where N i the name of the Pokemon.) and Bewear.

Team Options
========

Pivoting is essential with Lycanroc-D, since it has problems switching into virtually anything. Pivoting U-turn or Volt Switch support from the likes of Gligar, Flygon, Rotom-Mow Rotom-C, and Mega Ampharos is very appreciated. Memento support from the likes of Uxie, Choice Scarf Gardevoir and Whimsicott is also nice, since it lets Lycanroc setup set up safely against almost anything that comes into field. Wallbreakers such as Ninetales, Bewear and Zygarde-10% make Lycanroc-D's life easier, since they can weaken Lycanroc-D's checks, so it can clean up later in the game. Resists to Pokemon that resist Water-, Ground-, (AC) and Fighting-type moves are essential when running Lycanroc-D. Shaymin, Virizion and Gligar are good options that can help breaking break cores or with and offer utility options. Its It's nice to pair Lycanroc-D with offensive options Pokemon ("options" are for moves and items, so it's better to use "Pokemon" here.) (eh) that abuse take advantage of some of the defensive Pokémon Pokemon which Lycanroc-D can power through, such as Choice Scarf Gardevoir, Tyrantrum, Moltres, and Zygarde-10%. Support from the likes of like screens dual screens from Uxie or Meowstic and Spikes from Mega Glalie and Chesnaught is appreciated, since it as it allows Lycanroc-D to setup set up more safely or and wear down it's its checks.

Other Options
=============

Crunch can be used as an option (this is correct, but unnecessary.) to hit Bronzong and Doublade harder, but it is straight outclassed by Fire Fang and Drill Run's range of targets. Lycanroc-D can opt for a suicide lead set with Focus Sash, and (not the end of the list) (item -> moves though so w/e tbh) Stealth Rock, Taunt, Accelerock, and Endeavor (RC) as an option for hyper offensive teams, but it is a suboptimal set due to other the availability of better suicide leads such as Archeops, Froslass, and Aerodactyl.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Steel-types**: Although Lycanroc-D has the coverage to threat threaten them, the likes of Bronzong, Doublade, and Mega Steelix can usually take an unboosted hit and retaliate with Gyro Ball, Iron Head, (AC) or Heavy Slam.

**Fighting-types**: Virizion, Bewear, Chesnaught, and Pangoro can take any unboosted hit and defeat Lycanroc-D with their STAB attacks, usually recovering some HP in the process.

**Ground-types**: The likes of Rhyperior, Gligar, (AC) and Donphan can take any hit from Lycanroc-D and set up Stealth Rock, remove entry hazards wth Defog, or OHKO it with STAB moves.

**Faster Attackers**: Choice Scarf Tyrantrum, Choice Scarf Flygon, and Zygarde-10% outspeed Lycanroc-D and can OHKO it, but the latter two are OHKOed by a boosted Life Orb Sucker Punch when boosted.

**Priority Moves**: Choice Band Golisopod can revenge kill Lycanroc-D in a single blow with First Impression, due to First Impression's higher priority than Sucker Punch or Accelerock. Machamp, Medicham, and Pangoro can revenge kill Lycanroc-D after Stealth Rock damage with Bullet Punch.

[OVERVIEW]

Due to its access to Tough Claws, Swords Dance and a powerful exclusive Z-Move in Splintered Stormshards, Lycanroc-D can be a fearsome wallbreaker, (RC) being that is able to ope
n holes in defensive teams, (AC) crippling or KOing against the likes of Bewear, Bronzong, and Milotic. Lycanroc-D also has unique access to Rock-type priority in Accelerock, which lets it revenge kill the likes of Entei and Salazzle. It can also run Sucker Punch to hit the likes of Choice Scarf Flygon, Choice Scarf Medicham, and Zygarde-10% neutrally. Unfortunately, Lycanroc-D relies on low-Base Power moves such as Fire Fang and Drill Run to break through some of its checks that need to be weakened before Lycanroc-D it is able to sweep. Due to its poor bulk, it doesn't offer much defensive utility, being unable to set up properly even against Fire-types moves from the likes of (you talk about coverage on ninetales next which isn't a fire-type move, so i'm generalising to fire type pokemon) Pokemon such as Entei and Ninetales, which Lycanroc-D can't take despite resisting them, due to their additional coverage and Sacred Fire's burn chance. Lycanroc-D also cannot set up against some of the most relevant defensive Pokemon in the tier, including Mega Steelix, Milotic, and Foul Play Mandibuzz, (RC) Milotic, and Mega Steelix. Another problem is the amount of support Lycanroc-D needs to work; although it can be very strong after a Swords Dance, it usually cannot set up properly without taking a big hit, needing support from pivoting, dual screens, or Memento to set up safely and stay healthy.

hi there were a few erroers with implementing this mostly with missed commas, so use this method for check 2; it's faster and ensures the correct changes are made
