SPL XI - Commencement Thread

I'm glad to see Teclis sign up, I have huge respect for him and wager he will easily finish with one of the best records in ADV.

I took time to read the tournament rules page linked (having been on the unfortunate end of these regulations ...). Two questions:

1. (in adv) There is nothing to suggest that FullPass / BellyPass are banned. Is this intentional or an oversight by the tournament directors?

2. "Sportsmanship: If a player displays exceedingly poor sportsmanship before, during, or after a tournament battle, they may be disqualified or otherwise punished."
How is this enforced? For example (maybe a weak example), does post #23 count as 'exceedingly poor sportsmanship'? Troller is publicly calling out and embarrassing a player who has signed up. Even if you don't like the guy, this kind of behaviour is not necessary, sets a poor example from a team leader, and breeds toxicity.

i don't recall any example in living memory of someone getting disqualified solely for bad sportsmanship, we usually just infract it when we see it. Troller's post doesn't look like bad sportsmanship to me, it's mostly reserved for personal insults.

Obvious caveats around only hearing one side of the story, but the rey/sprinkles thing seems pretty shitty.

I would hope we dont have people that control access to one of our major tournaments abusing that privilege to troll people because of shit that happened 10 years ago.

Hmmm to me it seems like that the "Dragonspiral Tyrants" only did resort to more drastic vocabulary because
they wanted to make it absolutely clear that they dont have any intentions to draft user "sprinkles".
It is really a far stretch to read "unsportsmanlike behaviour" into this.

Obviously there are better ways to express yourself.
