Welcome to 1v1 Multi-gen Seeded Tournament!​

This format has players playing each other in the five most recent old gens and ensures the most interesting fights are saved for the end.
Players will receive their seed rankings by stableprince569, Mubs, Inkreativ, 187 Fan, DEG, zioziotrip and DenisTheMenace, which will determine their opponents throughout the tournament.


Seeds once decided are final and no seed change requests will be entertained.

Tournament Rules are as follows:
  • Standard Smogon clauses & tournament rules apply. They can be found here.
  • Single Elimination.
  • Bo5o1: Players will be playing a Best of 5 games in the DPP / BW / ORAS / SM / SS 1v1 tiers. Tiers cannot be repeated within a single set.
  • First game is SS 1v1, loser of the first game chooses the second tier. First one to win 3 games wins.
  • Ghosting is forbidden in each round and any obvious or blatant cases will have hefty consequences.
  • Matches are to be played on the main server or Smogtours server of Pokemon Showdown. Matches played on any other server must be replayed.
  • Each round will last for 7 days, extentions will only be given when both players have made an active effort to schedule.
  • If metagame changes occur during the middle of a round, they will take effect in the subsequent round.
  • Replays are required, matches without replays will be coinflipped.

This Qualifying Round allows us to round up the number of players to 64 and avoiding Round Robins finals.

Deadline is Sunday June 7th at 11:59 PM GMT. Replays are required.

I really like transparency, so I'm gonna post here the criteria I used for ranking people's seeds

I gave a 4.5/10 to all players who are unproven in Team Tournament and have not had a good run in Individual Tournaments so far, but still play 1v1 on a consistent basis; then either lowered or increased the score whether they won or lost a considerable amount of games.

Knowledge of multiple metagames was weighed in and recent results had more weight than less recent ones.

The votings also were affected by personal opinion, that's pretty much unavoidable when it gets to rating people. If I have personally played the said player, I will have a different opinion of them based on how the match went.

Yo waddup I usually dont do these but hey why not. I'll bold who I think will win and add insight on the matches that I have insight on. The rest of the bolds are probably only because I know them better lets be real.

I'm pretty excited for this tour, its a low stress bo5o1 format which means bring crazy stuff that only has to work once.

Yo also I got seeded 22nd which is Derrick Henry's number, so thats neat

(43) vs ForgottenOnes (86) I get that you don't do unofficial tours but cmon I feel like Gym socks shouldn't have to qualify, won BW No Johns vs many top BW players, has done consistently well in seasonal, shows he has a deep understanding of SS, SM, BW, and dabbles in DPP. Not sure if he will enjoy the bo1 format, but who knows
Bopher (44) vs philisteen (85) Easily one of my favorite SS players, he is the epitome of bringing whack stuff because whack stuff works. Absolutely love his playstyle.
Sanshokuinsumireko (45) vs CashKP (84) Surprised Cash was ranked this low, and I know Sansho has some experience with old gens, which Cash does not. And because 3 out of 5 are old gens, gonna give the edge to sansho

So Noisy (47) vs Smajet (82) I honestly dont know who So Noisy is, so I guess ill side with Smajet. But if So Noisy is adept at 1v1 and I just don't know it, they'll beat Smajet

Jirachirelia (49) vs Notater (80) About two months ago I would have said Jirachirelia easily, but Notater has gotten pretty good and has dabbled in old gens. Jirachirelia can hold their own as well. Very close

So bo5 series where each game is a different generation or is it a bo5 in each gen and first to win 3 gens wins?
