SPOILERS! Pokemon Sword and Shield Datamine Thread

It's in the game. I would guess they realised that it would super annoy people if they got the Original Magearna and then couldn't use it, considering how hard that thing is to get.

This also confirms something else that we could infer from the items datamine: Hoopa, Genesect and Arceus are not coming back. Which I guess isn't surprising given that the latter two are a big source of item bloat, but Arceus is quite popular.

Given that we've seen event flags involving Keldeo, I would guess that it'll be available in these games in the same way that Deoxys was.
Genesect is listed in that leak above, however. & despite my reservations when it was first posted, I think it's pretty likely real by this point.

So while this list...

doesnt have the Drives listed, I can see it either being added later or there will just straight up be a brand new item that works like the Rotom Catalog to swap around Genesect's drives.
if only a CERTAIN OTHER pokemon with a LOT OF ITEMS TO ITS NAME would have gotten the same treatment!

Is there a way to datamine how to get the Cramorant machine to spit out Apricorn Balls? It seems pretty RNG-centric, but somebody apparently has gotten a Safari Ball from it. Maybe we should start a specific thread on Cram-O-Matic findings?
The Cram-o-matic is completely deterministic. Shoving the same four items will always yield the same return.

The thing is that it's quite weird in a lot of recipes. Say, two Liechi Berries and two Hondew Berries, me thinking it might yield an Adamant Mint (because it's two berries that raise Attack when consumed, and two that lower Special Attack), yields a White Herb instead.

Or how four Nuggets make a Big Nugget (sounds logical), but four Exp Candies don't make a larger Exp Candy, but a Psychic-type TR (which depends on the Candy size, and is completely illogical).

In that case, would it be feasible to create a recipe calculator? For the mints in particular, that could be really useful, since farming BP is pretty annoying this generation.

On the note of new mythicals:

We're expecting Victini to return.

We can now update a Pokemon to be legal to use in ranked competitions, but doing so requires us to erase its moveset. There have been ranked competitions where mythicals were allowed before, albeit rarely.

V-Create is been in the game and has been since release. In fact, it has the curious distinction of being one of two moves which were released with the vanilla game and fully animated, but which could not be legally used by anything. (I believe it's now the only move for which this is still true.)

Secret Sword has had its tutor removed and the move was put into Keldeo's standard movepool.

Common sense would dictate, then, that V-Create should probably become a standard level-up move for Victini, rather than being locked behind specific distributions. But you know what GF is like.

I found a Spreadsheet that has Cram-o-matic recipes... but they haven't found out how to make Mints yet:

https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemon/comments/hb3rj2
Are we sure that mints can come out at all, then?

Unless someone happens to datamine what can come out of the Cramo-matic, it seems like we might just have to brute force working it out.

I have been keeping an eye over a few places and haven't seen anything which even says Apricorn balls can come out of it... It's usually just a mix of balls and you need 4 Apricorns to try (no other recipe appears to give out Pokeballs). Considering Apricorns themselves seem to be only semi common but can only drop once per day, it may take some time before we can actually figure it out.

With having to save before you put stuff into the Cramo-matic, its very hard to just brute force recipes. You basically are forced to give up the items you're putting in and I'd much prefer to have fixed recipes...

On that spreadsheet, someone has an interesting hypothesis for the parameters of the Cram-O-Matic:
Specific Output = ItemID , ItemCat1 , ItemCat2 , ItemCat3
This explains why there can be multiple recipes that begin with the same item or why there are 5 different berries you can use in a recipe. Thoughts? Might make it easier to find the recipes for all items, even if it is still through just trial and error.

I took R_N 's speculative list of returning pokémon for the Crown Tundra, and made some guesses on what Isle of Armor tutor moves they might get, based on the current distributions.

Some of these guesses are more obvious than others, such as Dual Wingbeat. It seems that if a pokémon has wings (even vestigial ones), it can learn Dual Wingbeat. On the other hand, I couldn't really find a common thread in the distribution for Terrain Pulse (other than that aura/pulse focused pokémon like Blastoise, Lucario and Clawitzer got it), so I left it out entirely.

I sure hope they add V-create to its movepool, it's bizarre that Victini's signature move is an event move. It didn't even come with it for the mythical distribution in gen 6.

That said, the special battle spot seasons/competitions in gen 7 that allowed mythicals didn't have the region requirement, so I'm bracing myself for "well we don't need to add it to Victini's movepool because the only times we ever allowed mythicals the competitions weren't region-locked anyways" GF logic.

Now we just need those special seasons to return in the first place...

Well technically its signature move is Searing Shot, but I see what you mean. V-Create was made specifically for it anyway.

Rayquaza also gets V-create from a Gen 5 event. Does that mean they could add that to its level-up pool as well?

I can also see Pokémon like Volcanion getting Misty Explosion due to its theme being about steam and mist (It got Misty Terrain from the Home datamine). Other things I can see getting:
:Regice: Triple Axel (The design of its legs)
:Kyogre: Flip Turn
:Heatran: Burning Jealousy
:Regigigas: Lash Out, Scorching Sands, Steel Roller, Terrain Pulse
:Audino: Terrain Pulse
:Tornadus: Dual Wingbeat (Its Therian Forme exists)
:Tapu Fini: Flip Turn

I'll include the Crown Tundra mons as well
Regieleki: Rising Voltage
Regidrago: Burning Jealousy, Lash Out, Scale Shot
Calyrex: Expanding Force, Grassy Glide

I think that's more likely to get put in the "legacy moves" pile. Rayquaza only got it as one distribution; as R_N said, it's clearly designed for Victini and has been distributed on it countless times. In fact, the original Liberty Island distribution and the 20th anniversary event (which gave every Pokemon the same movesets as their first distribution) are the only distributions which haven't had it.

I took R_N 's speculative list of returning pokémon for the Crown Tundra, and made some guesses on what Isle of Armor tutor moves they might get, based on the current distributions.

Good speculation, but I think Swampert's chances of getting Flip Turn are approaching zero. Being a starter he might get special treatment, but the only Water/Ground to receive a tutor was Gastrodon with Skitter Smack as I recall. Whiscash didn't even get Flip Turn by virtue of being fish-shaped. As a similarly themed mom to Quag and Seismitoad especially, I don't think Swampert has much a chance.
He might get Lash Out though, as he has access to an assortment of Counter-ish moves.
