It was fun to give this new metagame a go. I personally find it more enjoyable than UU. Thanks to Hipmonlee for giving me the teams I used in every round until game 1 of this last match, and then I also just used modified versions of his teams in game 2 and game 3.

Thanks for hosting Sevi 7. Looking forward to seeing the stats.

So at the start of this tournament I gave worms a couple of teams. One was the Pinsir/Wigglytuff/Kingler one, which, honestly wasnt great. It was so weak to Venusaur... But the other was this one, I think I used it every round, and Worms definitely did. The only time it lost was when worms used it against me G2, but that is because I was using it too.

This was the original version I think, so the sets are a bit out of date.

The goal here is that Kabutops, Dewgong, Charizard and Moltres wear down the enemy waters until one of them can sweep. You need to identify which of your threats is the most effective (often Kabutops and Dewgong) and just double to it a lot. Doubling from Moltres to Dewgong is a very nice option, as it covers switches to waters or fire types and it is usually almost for the things it counters to try to stay in against it. Then if your opponent brings in a Venusaur against Kabutops, you have an easy switch back to Moltres, and a double to Kabutops again.

Against Kabutops and Dewgong you need to do a lot of pivoting. EG. Send in Kabutops against Dewgong's Blizzard then Venusaur into the Surf. Once Venusaur is in against Dewgong, if youre threatening a KO or sleep, you can double back to Kabutops.

I noticed Sevi used a very similar team as well. Most of the defensive teams with stuff like, Arcanine, Exeggutor and Porygon just get blown away by the damage here. Resting mons just find it very hard to wake against this team.
