Role Justification: this is a bulky Ghost (yes, another) type that has an interesting interaction between its ability and anyone using defog. since defog lowers evasion, it activates clear body, burning the defogger. while its typing isn't unique, it sets itself apart from Grimmlurk with its specially focused statline, and its role, which focuses more on offense than screen setting.
that aside, it has some pretty strong tools at its disposal, with the likes of Shadow Ball and Moonblast as great STABs, and moves like Earth Power and Fire Blast to deal with Steels like Heatki, Ferros and Brontun, and Psyshock to deal with special walls like Snortine.
it can even function in Trick Room due to it being able to set it itself and its low speed.
that same low speed is what holds it back, however, as it's prone to getting revenge killed by Steels faster than it, most notably Accelest, especially after a boost. Dredvul is also a threat, as it punishes switching out, and it threatens with Crunch, which is going to do a lot to it due to its relatively low hp, despite its high Defense.
another downside is that it has little recovery outside of Pain Split, which is unreliable.

however, it's slow, so things like Landmaldo or Glidol can outspeed and revenge kill it. Glidol has to be wary of Ice Beam, however.
fast Dark or Ghost types, like Dredvul, can pose a serious problem to it, as you risk your switchin or Magnelurk fainting.

it also has effective dark STAB, meaning it can run moves like knock off and sucker punch effectively.
its main weakness is that it's very frail, so it can be forced out by mons who can tank it, like Brontun, who threatens with apple acid. it's also at risk of being outsped and revenge killed by anything faster than it, such as Ninjacross.
overall, it's going to be fairly hard to predict this mon's sets due to how many options it has, giving it a potent element of surprise.

Role Justification: very fast setup sweeper with good offensive tools. Pressure Cutter allows it to not have its attack lowered, meaning it can Swords Dance without fear of it being reduced by abilities or Parting Shot. in addition to Weavile's decent moveset, it now has access to Earthquake, and a way of pivoting: U-turn.
while it's not as strong as base Weavile, it is slightly faster, allowing it to revenge kill better.
Corveot and Xotallion are going to be somewhat of an issue for it, as its flying stab isn't very good, and knock off is only at its most effective once per mon.
Brontun is also going to be an issue for it, as most of its attacks, barring Low Kick, are neutral against it.

Role Justification:
fills a type niche that is currently only filled by Silvino-Psychic-Mega.
it can run a variety of sets, such as Stored Power with access to Recover, Calm Mind and Acid Armor for setup, or a cleric set with Aromatherapy and Wish (with no teleport, unfortunately).
it also has the niche of giving its allies the Magic Bounce effects, something that would be useful in the (mostly unused) FEDUU tier.

Steel types in general tend to give this trouble, as it has little coverage for it outside of Mystical Fire. Heatki in particular tends to wall it completely, as it's immune to fire. with all these moves to choose from, it of course also has 4mss syndrome, as it can't run everything, and running coverage means you lose setup, recovery or both. but overall it's a mon that can fit and fill a niche on a variety of teams.

Role Justification: this is a bulky dragon that has a lot of coverage to work with. Flamethrower to hit Brontun and other steels not named Heatki, Aura Sphere, Hydro Pump or Scald for the Steels named Heatki, Ice Beam for the likes of Glidol, and Sludge Bomb for any Fairies (like Darmearna).
it has setup capability in Calm Mind, allowing it to setup against passive walls.
its main weaknesses lie in the fact that it's fairly slow and its defenses are fairly low, meaning a good Earthquake user will likely put it out of commission, or at least put a serious dent in it. Yacian in particular is ever so slightly faster than it, and so it's a big threat to Raigoo, as is Landmaldo.
its other weakness? a lack of recovery. any chip it takes is permanent if it isn't running Leftovers, and with its average speed, it's likely going to take quite a few hits.
despite the hight BST, it's a solidly balanced mon that isn't without counterplay.

Role Justification: Intellery has a colourful movepool and some good stats to abuse it with. Its SD sets have worse coverage overall, but they priority in Aqua Jet and the previously mentioned SD to make it stronger. Other than that, it can utilise the Choiced items. Band sets are SD sets with one extra slot. Specs sets have amazing coverage with Hydro Pump, Flamethrower, Ice Beam, Energy Ball and so on. Both of these sets can also run Scarf for some speed control. Speaking of which, its 107 Spe is quite nice. It doesn't match some other offensive threats like Kokovoir, Zerclef, Regibee-M and Ninjacross, but it can outrun some other key mons like Mr. Ace, Eternabat, Garborude, Lycanserker-D, Mesflame and so on.

Its STAB combination is already great, but its coverage moves like Aura Sphere, Heat Wave, Earthquake and/or Superpower really seal its offensive sets for their added coverage. Special variants can also utilise CM and both sides of the spectrum can run U-turn. Bulkier sets can also function with its access to Defog, WoW and Roost.

You can also live out your rain Dracovish dreams and EV it to boost attack, but that set have clear downsides, like running into a water resist.

Role Justification: I was messing around with various combinations for Water/Ground Pokemon and I found this statline to be pretty satisfactory, with a great combination of mixed bulk, solid offenses, and a nice and slow speed stat for slow pivoting. What really made me sub this is the gimmick ability, through. While in solo form you have effectively base 216 attack (if you manage to live to that point) and I'm sure most teams cannot handle that level of power for the few turns Trick Room is up. If you don't want to play around the gimmick, I'm sure a Swampert-type Rocks+Flip Turn set is also plenty viable.

Role Justification: Imagine, if you will, Nidoking, but with an omniboost! Sounds pretty cool to me. Boasting perfect coverage and a brutal STAB combo, Kinglinks should be able to make significant progress against bulkier builds if given an opportunity to set up. Skarchomp is ok, I think this Pokémon should have popped up awhile ago though, its niche does not very feel necessary atm. And yeah we are crammed with Steels so.

Toggron is almost a perfect Pokémon in my opinion. Particularly it's Mega, as physically Defensive Electric type is definitely something I have desired for quite awhile. Which is very unfortunate that it's base form has special Huge Power. We got MORE than enough bulky special Electrics, and I think just leaning into the other cool defensive abilities these Pokémon have is a better idea, because I think Huge Power is a turn off for not only me but quite a few others here.

Golimpa feels pretty unnecessary, and the ability seems very stretchy to me.

Ditto mons suck and the mega is promptly broken.

Inoffensive fusion, but I do not think its really an out there pick atm and I'd rather see this pop up in a certain spinoff project.

Rillagar imo is the least intriguing Grassy Terrain setter in the mod atm, neither having the strong nuking potential, the bulk nor the exclusive priority to fully exploit GTerrain, but it does synergize somewhat the most with Koala Bear (one hates Dark moves the other one doesn't mind it). I still think its one of the weaker terrain picks.

Electrobi probably would be a ten out of ten prior to Zerclef's release, but now its a cool 7. Still, a cool speedy mon that sots between 122 and 147 and is a viable non mega.

Bouffagon is one of those weird Pokémon that is specifically designed to counter a Pokémon, only that Pokémon has just been nerfed / redesigned so now we do mot know the full extent of what this Pokémon does now. Its also one of the most boring Pokémon outside of this specific counter niche, so its pretty sour overall to me.

Swellego is pretty cool. Its a Nihilego fusion that does not abuse Meteor Beam, so nice. Poison Flying has always been a nice typing to have imo.

Rhydily is objectively a good Pokémon, maybe even a great one. But imo I do mot think we need another bulky Rock type and another bulky Ground, even if they are together.

Xurgeist booo. Just seems like the standard NP breaker sitting in the 95-105 speed range, with only the cool cool cool ability to snowball its speed. Plus more interesting Xurkitree subs are running around.

Komados is nice and pretty great in a vacuum but Fighting weak physdef mons in this metagame LOOOOL

Saladon is what Mr Toxic Play should have been and is largely a much better stallbreaker than it ever could be, largely because it can actually do damage to the few stuff it can't Toxic, and has respectful and reliable damage output with needing to resort to NP, making Toxic + Dual STAB + recovery not feel like a waste of time.

Scythurr gives me knock crippled Buzzwole vibes. Not sure how to feel about that.

Araquagon is certainly an interesting pick. Tbh not much else on it, fuck webs.

Hydrivine I've shared most of my opinions on before, but I'll be honest when I say I am less whelmed on it that last time.

Avarupt is very nice. I want this to win.

Holy fuck holy christ how are these fusiins so fucking amazing? These are some of the coolest shit I've seen all year! Definitely voting for these (and whoever reading this should too).

Maneduck is aiite. Its nothing major, two ZUs into an arguably RU mon, the real star is it's Mega though, I'd be interested to see that play out.

Galliken seems very powerful, not broken, but would definitely cement itself as a major wallbreaker upon entry.

Swampscue is objectively the better and more viable Eiscue fusion, but mine is better.

Aggrfetch'd feels way too frail and slow to pull off what it would want to go for imo as a wallbreaker.

Molterupt seems veey strong. Its probs the strongest sub that shares its typing, and would probably become an instant top tier pick upon being voted in.

Pinpoleon feels very unnecessary with Golisopod getting in less than one slate ago.

Darkmite plays like a special Dredvul that is somewhat easier to switch in on. Do with that information what you will.

Landoking seems pretty boring, no STAB Tough Claws seem meh.

Queenking is definitely broken

Not a fan of alternate form of existing fusion, particularly one that does the exact same thing just with a slightly different typing. Feels 100% unneeded.

Starbombee is surprisingly not as bad as I thought it would be. Spin is nice, QD seems balanced and Choice and Pivot sets are viable. Fuck webs.

Protean is hard to balance, and to put it mildly not sure if CM + Greninja+ movepool is the correct flex here, especially since this is objectively better Protean. Even a properly played Mr Ace feels like he'll be hard to play around and this throws away a lot of the disadvantages Mr Ace has.

Just call it a slow wallbreaker please. Crawdaunt can be used on TR, but no one walks around and calls it a Trick Room abuser.

Kingvolt is pretty cool, perhaps the most interesting submission in your deck. The ability sounds cool but doesn't necessarily have as much practicality as You are trying to claim, but the raw defensive utility of its typing cannot be understated. and it has multiple ways to pivot! Fuck webs.

Ho-Fetch'd is also pretty nice, Pure Flying is always an interesting pick, and playing like a Tornadus T with A LOT more utility is welcome. Blocking dumb Intimidate clones is also always a plus.

Thwack is a good mon. Gonna home in on more of the sets though. Swords Dance and Choice Band are very distinct sets and should be labelled as such. Choice Band is always carrying Wood Hammer too. and Thwack is much too frail with a bad defensive typing to try and pull off any attempt are defensive set a la Tapu Bulu.

Sharplass sounds hilarious. Not necessarily because it's bad or broken, (it's neither), but because tongue weird notions you keep saying in the post. Things like hazards are too risky to play with, Glidol using Defog and the bizzare notion that Whimsilotic struggles versus Corveot (what). Ironically this mon folds to Defog Whimsilotic. Outside of all of that, Sharplass is an interesting proposal to the meta. Primarily it will be most likely a GO pick, as it's much easier to threaten stuff behind Screens. Otherwise it plays like a Weavile that has traded its excellent speed tier for Spikes, super Defiant and Sucker Punch, definitely a fair tradeoff. If it wins it will be pretty good, just do not expect it to zero the hazards game or what ever.

Intaflareon is definitely mid as hell. It's like pre buff Volquag, but worse abolition exchange for better stars for the thing's role. Not saying much though.

inte ceon on the other hand seems CRAZY. It's already packing 145 SpA why does it need a x1.5 multiplier regardless of how situational it is. Broken as fuck.

I think most of these new fusions either suck on a whole or are heavily outclassed by existing fusions. Sabliea, Raicuno and Umbrezard respectively. Bulbaclus is not only a bad mon, but is not even legal because you reduced stats to try and even out the +40, which is illegal. Mon as I said sucks proper ass and it's ability is not 100% clear. Would it have regular regenerative + those effects? Or is it just how it's described? Either way booty. I would save these fusions for FE RU that's coming soon, they can probably work well there.

now Silvally-Chan, horrible name that the councilmen will mandate a change for aside, has promise. It's no secret that the existing Silvally fusion is a shitmon. It is almost guaranteed to drop to FERU anyways, and since council are trying to desperately hold on to it's shitty "niche" for no good reason, I personally just ignore its existence like everybody else. People might be against this, but I feel like Silvally x Hitmonchan can get some actually viable subs here. Firstly make its ability RKS System + Iron Fist effects, the current ability is not only a stretch and a half, but no one in their right mind is using Mega Punch over Multi Attack. Secondly, not investing in offensive potential is a massive mistake my friend, this Pokemon cannot wall anything for shit. A Stat Spread of +3 HP, +20 Atk, +1 Def, +2 SpD and +14 Spe is a much more efficient spread for a breaker. Now it has an actually good ability in Iron Fist with some type swapping and can with its new potential stat spread of 75/120/88/65/104/99 it can actually do some good stuff in the metagame. Definitely thank me later if it wins after these adjustments.

Diangarde would definitely benefit from focusing into its attack rather than it's special attack, 100/100/92 offenses are just terrible. and it's not walling anything with that bulk + no recovery

Darscraft is a funny Pokémon. Not necessarily good, not even really bad. But it is definitely a funny Pokémon. Like it has no recovery and mid bulk yes, but it has Taunt + Knock to basically fuck with defensive Pokémon's recovery options lol. Its own Shed Skin craps on Toxic too so with Wish support it could theoretically go crazy v fat. Theoretically.

Galaxies is kinda cool in theory but not sure how well it can pull off it's ability. Firstly, nothing mixed about this mon it's 99% of thetime using Nasty Plot. And while it stops a mon from healing chip, I think this mon would lose a lot of health in the process, so beating stall imo is not gonna happen. So it's best matchup is probably versus non Slowton Balance / maybe BO. More I think about it th e more often I am thinking it's ability probably would seldom come into play. Weird mon.

we all mentioned this in Discord, but the ability not only makes so sense, not only is pretty godawful if we take yourself on how it works, but your theorized ways it abused it are so horrible it realistically would never exploit it. Low Sweep and Fury Cutter are garbage moves even with STAB, so they will never see play over just Power Up Punch / Knock Off / Surging Strikes or Liquidation / Sucker Punch or Aqua Jet. Ability definitely needs an overhaul and if you decide to just make the components logical, just know the ways you are trying to make the ability work, won't work.

ganglion is pretty saucy, feels like a more logical approach to the Psedo Third STAB mons than what we have seen in the past. I'd LOVE if it got Sucker Punch but as for now I wouldn't be upset if it won. if

I see the vision in Intellect but it's just not my thimg. Maybe I'd be a lot !pre on board in the early game but for th it's so so for me.

Girava is a solid potential addition to the roster, even if it's another Ghost type. It's one I care about! So basically it would do what Giratina O does in base, defog, spread wisp, hit hard with very strong STAB. It's a good mon.

My Xurkitree sub is more balanced than yours, therefore cooler

Pherogonga is a cool dude, I think it's the best Pheromosa sub so far. Ice/Bug has always been a fav typing of mine and this mon takes it as far as it can go without breaking it. It's also very thiccc

And with that, Fusion Evolution Under Used comes to an end. Over the course of 10 months we have aimed to create a more balanced take on Fusion Evolution's concept, and I'd say we succeeded. The mod currently sits at 112 fusions (147 with Form Changes) and yet it is still a very balanced metagame, where only a few of these struggle to ever see any use. The meta has gone through lots of changes over time, from the early days of Tanette + Slowton Spam to Xotalion's glitch making it impossible to take damage to Open Handed Grimmlurk, all the way to more recently getting a bunch of Weather teams and having a much more aggressive meta. It's been a great experience and I am looking forward to the RU Renascence!

Avarupt is a very cool addition to the meta (LOL). Like states before, it is a defensive Ice type but actually good, with no SR weakness and having actually useful resistances/immunities like Poison and Electric. It's ability also REALLY helps it out in the defense department. Mega Rupt will easily supercede Mega Glasnow as the slow Ice Mega, which sucks it was cool. Mega hits like a nuke AND has recovery. Easily top tier.

:Gogoat::tyranitar:
The goat himself. Grassy Terrain has finally entered into FE UU and Goatitar hopefully brings along alot of benefits with it. It's bulk is pretty high thanks to its HP stat, and its definitely not passive either, allowing it to hold its own versus teams. It pairs nicely with Tapu Koma and also Sand, so some interesting team synergy can happen there. Either way big Goat is a cool guy.

:Fraxure::Marshadow:
Ngl Fraxshadow is alot stronger than I initially thought. Oh well, what's the worst that can happen? Ok but on a serious note, Fraxshadow comes in as a really potent wallbreaker, who can either go Dragon Dance or even Swords Dance to mess shit up. I could see DDance Sclaw Dclaw brickbreak / stomping tantrum being a hot set, likewise SD Scale Sneak Sclaw would be flames as well. Interested to see how the meta adapts to this threat.

Funny meme, but I think this could be a sleeper QD if only it had Beast Boost effects in its ability. As for now its a sort of a status sponge, but lacks the bulk, and whats to sweep, but is a much less intuitive one than the current list, requiring alot more support.

Big Boy. More Dark type breakers to humble a certain duck coffin, whoch is definitely welcome. Crawmise in general plays like beefier Crawdaunt with 3 big STABs instead of 2 (yay?). No STAB priority is a HUGE blow on Craw however, as thata how it's parent was able to keep up versus offense / ho builds, so it will be intriguing how it moves from there.

Role Identification: Alright so this thing can hit VERY hard and is really fast so better bring something that can tank hits from this thing. Strengths: Like I said It's Fast and has 150 Sp. Atk so it can outspeed some stuff and if you manage to survive those three turns or two then that mon goes bye-bye. It's important to something that can heal your Pokemon with Wish or Healing Wish. Weakness: It's Frail like no joke 50 Def 51 Sp. Def so it can get one-shot by a Moonblast or a strong move. If you can't use items and you just got hit with haze then you can't save yourself. I made it a fast hard hitter but frail because I wanted to balance my creation even though Zorgar can be outspeed and just one shot. The set I'd use is Simple. The item will be Focus Sash so you can live a hit. You got one ability so skip that, Then we got the moveset. I suggest Shadow Ball/ Sludge Bomb, Dark Pulse/ Flamethrower, Protect and Calm Mind/ Agility.

FEUU is already concluded and won't be getting new additions, head over to the Fusion Evolution Rarely Used thread if you want to keep subbing stuff, but keep in mind the power level is lower, and so Gengar + Zoroark is too strong over there (and even here, this is just Deoxys-N), plus your sub breaks rules (no stats can be lowered from the average given, you only have up to 40 BST to add, with no more than 20 on a single stat, and the ability is too stretchy in terms of effects).

After months of no new updates, mostly due to the current metagame being pretty stable and well balanced, council has an announcement.

Porygrigus has been very notably a centralising Pokémon since its introduction. Its great Physical bulk combined with an excellent ability and Recover access turn Porygrigus into a very common threat in the metagame, to a point where, while not broke, it has driven the Council's attention as a potentially unhealthy mon in the metagame. Simillarly, its child has been more or less doing exactly what it does but in the lower tiers, being arguably the most broken mon in LC and showing up every now and then in RU while still putting in respectable work. As such, the Porygrigus line is recieving a nerf. It will lose the HP investments it currently has, turning its 90 HP into 71 HP; and, consequently, Porymask will go from 70 HP to 51 HP.

This should help mitigate both of their centralising presences, as it is a pretty big Bulk nerf. That is all for now!
