CAP Swiss Tournament​

After 5 weeks, we have finally reached the playoffs stage of the tour! From now on, the format changes to single elimination, so if you lose your match, you're out. Seeds 1-3, 4-9, and 10-24 were randomized on the CAP PS Room.

2nd: 8 points
3rd: 7 points
4th-6th: 6 points
7th-12th: 4 points
13th-24th: 2 points
25th-48th: 1 points

Rules:
  • This is a standard SS CAP tournament.
  • The format is a 5-round Swiss-style Tournament followed by playoffs.
  • All rounds are best of 3.
  • Changing teams in between matches is allowed.
  • You are required to post your replays.
  • All Smogon tournament rules apply.
  • Any change in tiering will not take effect until the following round.
  • Matches must be played on Pokemon Showdown or Smogtours.
  • Please use this guide while scheduling with your opponent.
The first round of playoffs ends on Sunday, October 3rd at 11:59pm GMT -3.

We got some big time matches here!

(1) arn.av136 vs (24) Heaven Jay - somehow, the 1 vs. 24 seed match is hype as all hell. I think arnav takes this in 3, but this series depends on just how weird Jay gets in the builder.
(2) Lasen vs (23) Fakee - Every day we stray further from God's light
(3) crying vs (22) Darek - I can't predict this at all. There's no counter for SpD Miasmaw, but crying as always is a tough opponent.
(4) IloveScaldBurns vs (21) Mr.Bossaru - Just bring a Zeraora lmao
(5) SHSP vs (20) AnnaMyers - old man gettin dubs
(6) Mx vs (19) Atha - Mx's grand return to tournament play goes on
(7) Dj Breloominati♬ vs (18) poopidoopii - one of these players is the best CAPper of all time, I'll let y'all figure it out
(8) خسدڭۋە vs (17) DetroitLolcat - one of these players actually plays this tier, I'll let y'all figure it out
(9) Steam Buns vs (16) D2TheW - Easily the hypest match of the week. I expect to see some absolutely brainy shit going on here. Or, y'know, scarf astro.
(10) Rage.Spam.Quit. vs (15) SunMYSER - RSQ is a demon in the sheets, on the streets, and in CAP
(12) quziel vs (13) Maxouille - I expect this one to go the full distance, by which I mean an act win. Play with passion, my guy
