2021's been an interesting year for Other Metagames. For one, we've had a drastic change in leadership which resulted in us getting more forum mods (and community leaders) than ever before. This greatly helped sustain the productivity of the subforum and had us met with loads of fresh ideas that helped OM improve. Examples of these would be OM's Daily Tour results moving to a room leaderboard, the introduction of an OM tiering guideline, and recent introduction of the Tournament Queue & Approval thread. We were also freely flowing with an impressive wave of tournaments this year!
The Suggestions for OM Improvement thread was not used very much this year aside from the Forum Moderators making announcements and laying out ideas we've made come to life this year. The OM Forum Staff have decided to turn the OM General Information Thread into an Announcement thread because of this. For other ideas posted in the suggestions thread, much of the community were civil but split on whether they were the best path for us moving forward. From how it looks, Other Metas has been ran on a solid path throughout 2021 and I'm glad most of you are content.
To cut to the chase, Other Metas has one final plan this year. drampa's grandpa decided to step down from OM Leader a month ago. After a plentiful amount of discussion between OM and Smogon leadership, Sectonia and I have decided to up the hills
in the hills is now an OM Co-Leader! Use this thread to congratulate him!
