I suggested a bunch of stuff to Salemance. Idk if he talked to you about any of it though.

Well I'm not sure if you're looking for more defensive suggestions, offensive suggestions, or a mix of both, but I've got a few on either side of the spectrum.

any shitty pokemon that can get a buff works. although i don't like the change in rules to any pokemon on the list

So I guess that takes Sticky Web Chesnaught or Scoli out of the question :\…

My other two were Geomancy Sylveon and Magic Guard Moltres. Both would fit in very nicely in the meta.

i kinda like magic guard moltres tbh

If you take SR out of the equation, Fire/Flying is fantastic defensive typing. Magic Guard Moltres lets it fulfill a very nice defensive niche, as well as a niche as a decent hit and run attacker.

I wouldn't discount Geo Sylveon. That thing would be a very nice cleanup sweeper. If you've ever seen Xerneas go to work, it would function similarly, but with a lot less power and more counters. It would be a great addition to the offensive metagame without being overpowered.

i just don't think it changes the meta. the only viable niche moltres has in OU is defensive.

thats the analysis. its only set is subtoxic/defensive. i think with magic guard it does this better though, so we'll see. I guess it does make moltres a bit better

i still like it though.

Being a stall player, I would only be using Moltres defensively, but you could use it in a similar manner to Stalltini (victini). By using its defensive typing, it can get in and just be a huge threat to any switch ins: threatening a burn, a toxic, or taking advantage of its good base 125 SpA. Remember, Magic Guard doesn't just remove a weakness to SR; it removes ANY residual damage.

lol ofc i know what magic guard does, i've been playing competitive for a while.

being pretty much a serious ou player, it would be normal to use moltres defensively, but i think heatran just does the role better. of course moltres does have a good typing and all, so i think it can distinguish itself.

i'll bring this up with unfixable, i hope he's still willing to do this
