Rockruff, Lycanroc (Midday and Midnight) Discussion

I'm surprised Lycanroc-N doesn't get Fire or Thunder Punch. I feel like that would have paired it more favorable against Lycanroc-D

    Rowlet, Dartrix, Decidueye Discussion

Solid UU. Grass/Ghost isn't a bad typing, especially considering the amount of Water and Fighting types in UU. Spirit Shackle as of now also looks like a good move.

It may just be an internal error. Aside from the Pichu line, what other pokemon gets exclusive moves by holding an item?

    Grubbin, Charjabug, Vikavolt Discussion

Not by much. It's basically a weaker Mega Ampharos on all accounts. Maybe the ability to hold an item can change that though

    Grubbin, Charjabug, Vikavolt Discussion

What's even more frustrating is that a ton of pokemon LOSE speed upon evolution, meaning that it was a deliberate decision to make everything slow.

Rockruff, Lycanroc (Midday and Midnight) Discussion

It doesn't make sense why it doesn't get Earthquake. Its lack of consistent moves alone relegate it to lower tiers

    Wimpod, Golisopod Discussion

He reminds me of Barbaracle in many ways; looks amazing on paper and has whatever it needs but bad in practice. Only now, Goli lacks tough claws and shell smash, and has a very dubious ability

    Wimpod, Golisopod Discussion

Not so much anti-competitive, as it's just shafting a ton of new mons in terms of movepools and stats, speed in particular.

    Wimpod, Golisopod Discussion

This is absolutely horrible. At least if it had a decent speed stat, it would make sense, but now theres a chance that it wont be able to attack. I'm not sure why GameFreak is approaching this generation with such an anti-competitive demeanor.

    Wimpod, Golisopod Discussion

So if Goli uses First Impression and switches out/Emergency Exits, then returns to the field later on, can it still use First Impression? Or is it once per battle? If its the former, it's going to be a fantastic hit-and-runner

    Mareanie, Toxapex Discussion

Baneful Bunker poisons anything that comes into contact with it. Venoshock deals double damage to poisoned foes. Merciless does critical damage to poisoned foes. You're basically critting a mon with a 130 BP move. That hurts even with a 53 spatk stat

    Mareanie, Toxapex Discussion

Baneful Bunker and Venoshock is too good of a combination to give up honestly. That patches up its offenses and makes it a threat both offensively and defensively.

Rockruff, Lycanroc (Midday and Midnight) Discussion

If and when 7.5 comes out, I can see Midnight getting a huge buff with all the punching moves and other typical tutor moves

Rockruff, Lycanroc (Midday and Midnight) Discussion

That could work, but given Accelerock's low BP and all the nerfs to priority, it might still prefer Stone Edge. Its also fast enough to almost always go first
