Shaymin and Deoxys also learn different moves via tutor. Should those be included as well? I understand that it isn't actually arbitrary; there is a method to it, but it seems too complicated to remember.

I still think that the ability form changes shouldn't give access to new moves, and I don't think moves learned through form changes should count if they are kept when reverting to base form. I think the best way to do this would be Pokemon Showdown's move legality checker: Even though Deoxys...

    Metagame Workshop

I think I liked Form Frenzy more before the level up move shenanigans with Shaymin's Air Slash and Deoxys's everything. Judgement, Multi Attack, and Techno Blast are also kinda weird, since the base forms can also learn them. I'd say just keep it to moves that are truly exclusive to the form...

Kommo-o has to worry about priority, but 150 Attack at +6, plus 145 speed, is super scary. Plus, it's still sort of slow and bulky before setting up, so it can potentially set up on faster threats.

(Little) Things that annoy you in Pokémon

One thing I'd like to note is that if Natures are to changeable, then they would need to be renamed to something else, as forcibly changing a "living" thing's disposition is just... morally wrong. Then again, competitive Pokemon basically already encourages eugenics, so maybe it wouldn't be so...

    Unpopular opinions

The +10 stat boost was only in Gen 6. Gen 7 had boosts greater than 10 points. As for new abilities, Drizzle was all that changed for Pelipper, and it rose all the way from PU to OU.

I see Water types being dominant in this meta, as they prey on the Rock and Ground types. I could see Cradily getting a small niche as a Stealth Rock remover that threatens Water types thanks to its Storm Drain ability and Grass typing, and mons like Volcarona would greatly appreciate the...

Metagame USUM Memetagame Discussion was a mistake

Hmmm, I wonder which should be higher? The mon with a great defensive type, great ability, a pivoting move, and a variety of status moves, or the mon with literally the worst defensive type in the game?

Unaware ignores the OPPONENT'S stat boosts, not your own.

My guess is that Game Freak figured it's balanced since there really isn't any physical equivalent to Chansey and Blissey. Though to my knowledge, they aren't super popular in VGC, so I don't know.

I've had a meta idea on the back burner for a while, and before I continue my research for it, I thought it might be wise to see what people think of it. Move Full Potential (working title) Basically, any nerfs to the base power, accuracy, PP, or special effects of a move that have happened...

    Unpopular opinions

My unpopular opinion: critical hits being based on speed was an interesting idea that should have been kept, albeit perhaps a bit tuned down. It makes sense that a quick Pokemon would be able to maneuver around an enemy's defenses and strike at a weak spot.

Is the stat boost determined by base stats, or actual stats, aka the stats after EVs, IVs, and Natures are taken into account?

The problem with Swoobat is that it's super frail, but it's certainly a more offensively-inclined option over Mega Latias. Passing Shell Smash onto Krook would be effective if Shell Smash wasn't banned from being passed.

SM OU Back in the game with GlisBulu

If it's a stall-breaker you're looking for in the Gengar slot, consider Tapu Lele. It still has Taunt, and has the added benefit of removing Grassy Terrain so Gliscor's Earthquakes won't be weakened. Magnezone would also be a good option to eliminate Celesteela for Gliscor, but I'm having...
