  1. Other Critical Hits

Sadly, it seems simulators haven't picked up the changes yet. For a competitive instance, Scope Lens Infernape's Blaze Kick wasn't critting 50% of the time. I haven't tried Fetch'd yet but a fear more disappointment awaits. 100% crit on Normal/Dark/Grass coming off Scolipede's +2/+3 boosts or...
  2. Pokémon Goodra [REVAMP]

About: Garchomp countering Goodra. I found that my Goodra really appreciates Fairies (Aromatisse, Togekiss, Klelfi, etc) on it's team for two reasons: They're immune to it's biggest weakness (Dragon, because most counterswitch-in Fairy and Ice attacks are coming from the special side, and most...
  3. Pokémon Goodra [REVAMP]

Adamant Goodra is GOOD... ra. Infestation/Dragon Tail/EQ/Power Whip. Handles a lot of things. I run a team with 5 trappers and dare things to switch in against my gummy drake. Klefki, Ferrothorn or Scizor can switch in, if they want; they'll be dead in a couple of turns. Azumarill can switch in...
  4. Pokémon Goodra [REVAMP]

Nah, only works once with Bullet Seed. If if multi-boosted Goodra and other Sap Sippers might actually be broken. But I must admit: Goodra's very presence makes Grass moves less viable. You don't even have to use the ability, the mind-game itself makes Smeargle leads less viable. And things...
  5. Pokémon Goodra [REVAMP]

Heatran's trapped by Infestation if it counter-switches in. EQ can take Power Whip's spot, or just switch to anything that counters standard Heatran.
  6. Pokémon Goodra [REVAMP]

Has anyone thought about Misty Terrain and the niche-ness it provides Goodra? For an example, Aromatisse could viably set up Misty Terrain and mitigate a severe headache for Goodra for four turns. It also sets Goodra apart from every other psedo-legendary except Garchomp, and other OU Dragons...

Assist Gimmick Spinda @ Lefties/Scarf Contrary watever evs and nature u want ~ Assist ~ Hypnosis ~ Rock Slide ! Wish ! Protect ! Fake Out ! Baton Pass Assist with V-Create and Superpower on the team. Wish for recovery, Protect for safety's sake, Fake Out for priority/lead goodness, BP for...
  8. np: OU Suspect Testing Round 1 - ...wait, I'm not Jumpman16!

It's not only for Darkrai, if that's your question. Darkrai's a possible subject because there's a question of it's validity in the OU environment without Dark Void. I personally don't care about Darkrai, I'm neutral. Uber or OU, who cares as long as OU plays decently in the end. I just have an...
  9. np: OU Suspect Testing Round 1 - ...wait, I'm not Jumpman16!

One-time flexibility applies to any pokemon. If it falls into balance with the separation of 1 move OR 1 ability OR 1 item <no combination of 1 item + 1 move or etc>, then it can be introduced into OU under that single condition. People suspected Latias last gen without Soul Dew, right? Single...
  10. np: OU Suspect Testing Round 1 - ...wait, I'm not Jumpman16!

Then hold a vote to ban either the Darkrai+Bad Dreams combination or Darkrai+Dark Void combination. Conversing about unilateral bans on moves/abilities/items is unnecessary. As of today, there are no broken moves, abilities, or items. Things don't break until they're attached to a type and a...
  11. np: OU Suspect Testing Round 1 - ...wait, I'm not Jumpman16!

60% isn't necessarily to be feared. It's haxxxy, but paraflinch Jirachi's worse. I agree - If a pokemon is found to be uber, Smogon should have the right to ban ONE AND ONLY ONE move, ability, or item on that pokemon alone. Which means, if Psyduck is deemed broken and Confusion is the main...
  12. B&W Research Thread

Any update on Analyze's power boost?
  13. What aren't we writing about? (Pokemon unfit for OU Analyses)

Draco Meteor and Power Swap - a set like DracM/Flamethrower/Power Swap/Cotton Guard could get insanely hard to take down without Toxicstall or Ice Beam available.
  14. Sawsbuck

Only non-Chople variants have issues with Techniloom. As long as she's fairly healthy, Breloom won't be revenging Mebukijika, it'll be dying. But possibly, Double-Edge recoil can kill her after the fact - not that she needs it to kill Techniloom.
  15. Sawsbuck

Double-Edge can mow most things down - which is why the other 2/3 attacks are so hard to pick. It's basically picking what you don't mow down. Faint Attack did 70% to Shandy, don't know if it was a bulky variant though. SR damage and a layer of spikes should put it in KO range.
  16. Here Comes The Sun!

I've decided to dead Wild Bolt, eh, 30% vs Skarm's really not worth it, it doesn't KO anything but Gyarados. Faint Attack's hitting ghosts 33% harder without recoil. My new 4-Attack from this post:
  17. Sawsbuck

Apparently Mebukijika, being the Sun's version of a "Doryuuzu"-style sweeper, is not as deserving of OU analysis as Daikenki. I feel that I should make a starting point for serious discussion here, by showcasing everything this poke's got: From now on, assume two things about my sets: 1)...
  18. Here Comes The Sun!

I twice mentioned never using NPow. Hopefully by endgame Shandera's lost that stupid balloon anyway. Many times I get Sableye to Trick it off before it dies (apparently Shandera's a Sableye counter) Well, if Nature Power's ALWAYS a 20 PP version of EQ, then I can spam it in Find Battle. Makes...
  19. Here Comes The Sun!

Hey Ben, I edited my above post with HP Fire in action. Yeah. I've never actually run Nature Power (since I prefer to spam "Find Battle"), but should I enter a tourney I cannot think of a better game-ending set than one with Rock Slide on it to ensure KOs on things like Shandera. Healthy...
  20. Here Comes The Sun!

Lack of Mebukijika in the OP made me laugh. Mebu is Sun's version of Dory, only with less Attack/worse STAB but better coverage and supporting techs, as well as Leech Seed Immune. It can also run a mix. From experience: LO Double-Edge will OHKO non-bulky Urugamoth - as well as most fragile...
