I. INTRODUCTION
hi my name is pokegod70419, i go by poke and i built an offensive team focused around mega gardevoir because i thought it was cool at the time and got really bored, however the team ended out really strong into most of the metagame.

II. TEAMBUILDING PROCESS
most of my teambuilding ideas come from searching what i can build with on natdex or sv ag because i get bored and building is really fun for me
:gardevoir-mega:
saw this little goober sitting in nduu and wondered what it did, then realized this thing can click psychic moves on par with calyrex shadow and my brain immediately said "oh yeah we gotta build with this lock in"
:gardevoir-mega: :corviknight: :slowking-galar:
steel and poison cover the 2 types garde struggles the most with as a fairy type with little defensive value on the physical side and a little spdef supported by abysmal hp, and both corv and glowking can slow pivot into garde and the other offensive threat that has great synergy with garde that we'll cover later
:gardevoir-mega: :corviknight: :slowking-galar: :zamazenta:
zamazenta has great offensive synergy with mega gardevoir, being able to ohko mons that aren't entirely covered by garde's coverage situationally like gambit w/o focus or ferro w/o mystical fire, etc. it also gets good value out of the slow pivots.
:gardevoir-mega: :corviknight: :slowking-galar: :zamazenta: :samurott-hisui:
samu is able to take advantage of corviknight baiting in gholdengo, corv can uturn then samu can get up a ceaseillion layers of spikes, also spikes are good support for the team
:gardevoir-mega: :corviknight: :slowking-galar: :zamazenta: :samurott-hisui: :garchomp:
offensive chomp provides more offensive support for the team as well as rocks meaning the team has dual hazards, plus chomp is just a good pokemon

III. THE TEAM
:sv/gardevoir-mega:
Gardevoir-Mega @ Gardevoirite
Ability: Trace
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Psychic
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hyper Voice
- Mystical Fire/Focus Blast
- Shadow Ball/Focus Blast/Taunt
- Psychic/Psyshock

the options for coverage this thing has is a little insane. you can run just about anything to fit your team and it'll probably work to decent success. i chose to run 4a to maximize on the base 165 SpA and coverage this thing has, and it's actually absurd. it can 2hko pretty much the entire tier bar a few ohkos and a few 3hkos on strong special walls. with hazard chip from scarf :samurott-hisui: and rocks on :garchomp: this thing is picking up kos on a lot of mons, and with the right coverage it can outright sweep a team. some difficult matchups are trailblaze :ogerpon-wellspring: on webs and :roaring_moon:, but other then that this thing kills like everything, as well as being able to live at least one special hit from basically anything unboosted and clap back with what's usually an ohko on frail special mons (not recommended but can be used in a pinch).

252 SpA Gardevoir-Mega Shadow Ball vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Slowking-Galar: 142-168 (36.1 - 42.7%) -- 68.8% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock, 2 layers of Spikes, and Black Sludge recovery

:sv/corviknight:
Corviknight @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Pressure
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Defog
- Roost
- Brave Bird
- U-turn

goat metal bird switches into physical moves. corvi is a self-explanatory mon, being a top-tier since its debut gen of swsh. on this team specifically it switches into pretty much every physical move that threatens :gardevoir-mega: and roost/bb/defog/uturn, basically just does corvi things. this is one of the main backbones to the team defensively, and provides a ground immunity as well as how it's able to bait :gholdengo: for :samurott-hisui:. switching into corv on physical hits and preserving the dauntless shield boost on :zamazenta: for something like +1 or +2 knock from :roaring_moon: could be game-changing. also the resident :ogerpon-wellspring: switch and is able to roost and uturn on it and bring in :zamazenta:.

:sv/slowking-galar:
Slowking-Galar @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Regenerator
Tera Type: Poison
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
- Future Sight
- Sludge Bomb
- Chilly Reception
- Ice Beam

local zombie king eats special attackers for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and clicks pivot move into strong mon to murder said special attackers. fr tho, glowking is the 2nd main backbone and is the defense behind the team falling apart when meeting disarming voice :togepi: or any other threatening special attacker with fairy moves. glowking is the first mon anyone thinks of when someone brings up "slow spdef pivot" and for good reason. this thing can switch into literally every special move bar +8 secret sword (im not joking +6 is a garunteed 2hko), psyshock, and boosted shadow balls. it's also a great scout for :tapu_lele: which would otherwise 6-0 the team. ice beam is to hit any :gliscor: trying to switch in and allows you to pivot to :corviknight: right after, which can defog hazards, uturn out, or recover with roost (or all 3).

:sv/zamazenta:
Zamazenta @ Choice Band
Ability: Dauntless Shield
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Close Combat
- Crunch
- Stone Edge
- Ice Fang/Heavy Slam

zamazenta has great synergy with :gardevoir-mega: offensively because depending on garde's coverage, it might not be able to hit some mons, but zama can pretty much always cover for what it can't hit. choice band maximizes damage output and makes it so that it doesn't immediately fold when it meets a resist or loses its defense boost from dauntless shield. originally this was the speed control and :samurott-hisui: was assault vest, but scarf is usually better on this team in most matchups. zama is also able to be an emergency switch-in for :ogerpon-wellspring: (bar cudgel crits), :roaring_moon: with no speed boosts to ohko with cc, and just about any other physical mon unboosted. :landorus-therian: with full physdef is always an annoying mon, so ice fang to hit it for super effective is always gonna be a good option.

:sv/samurott-hisui:
Samurott-Hisui @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Sharpness
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Razor Shell
- Ceaseless Edge
- Knock Off
- Flip Turn

fish samurai thing gets all 3 layers on :gholdengo: and clicks flip turn on everything else. hamu is the second part to the ghold bait that :corviknight: helps with. spikes chip helps :gardevoir-mega: as well, allowing it to click buttons on the entire tier and pick up kills. this also helps rockium :garchomp: get 80 billion kos with sd and edgequake coverage. this creature can also switch into ghost moves once in a pinch if needed and click scarf dark move. knock to remove hdb from mons so they aren't safe from the hazards, flip turn to create a 3 mon pivot core, and razor shell for sharpness-boosted water stab and hamu is just an all-around great mon.

:sv/garchomp:
Garchomp @ Rockium Z
Ability: Rough Skin
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Stealth Rock

highkey stole this set from either a blunder or pokeaim video, can't remember which one, but it's a great set. providing setup threat, z-move, and rocks all on one mon is great value and proves why chomp is the goat of mons. stealth rocks provide hazard chip for :gardevoir-mega: and :zamazenta: to solo most anything. edgequake coverage allows arceus-ground to solo ubers and it does a similar thing here, hitting the birds immune to eq. swords dance means eq and continental crush do big damage to anything and everything trying to switch in. having all of this on one mon is an example of great role compression and is the perfect 6th mon for the team.

IV. THREATS & USAGE TIPS

this team has a stupidly difficult time dealing with :heatran:, it kinda just clicks buttons on everything that isn't garchomp and is a general annoyance to the structure
:roaring_moon: and :ogerpon-wellspring: are goob threats to the team. waterpon specifically on webs and with trailblaze, and roaring goon genuinely just wins if it gets a dd.
:tornadus-therian: is a hard mon to break for the team, it can chunk :garchomp: for 40-50% before it can click rock move and pivots on everything else, except for :samurott-hisui: which it can knock and remove scarf for its teammates.
  • this team requires you to play really offensively seeing as how frail the defensive core is. don't be afraid to make double switches and predicts when you need to. set hazards and try to win.
  • do literally everything you can to deny :roaring_moon: setup. if this thing gets even a single dd, you've lost the game unless it's no acro, in which case you need to preserve :zamazenta:'s dauntless shield boost. (+1 252 Atk Protosynthesis Roaring Moon Acrobatics (110 BP) vs. +1 0 HP / 0 Def Zamazenta: 292-344 (89.8 - 105.8%) -- 37.5% chance to OHKO) this thing will run through the team with a smile on its face.
  • play aggro around :heatran:, you need :garchomp: or :zamazenta: in the game before it's able to do anything so you don't auto-lose to taunt + magma (preferably chomp so you can eq and kill w/o risk of flame body crippling you)
  • this team can afford a rocks trade, it doesn't mind dealing with rocks since there's nothing particularly weak to rocks and there's more than one rock resistance. however, if needed, corv has defog to remove hazards.
V. PEAK & REPLAYS
the team managed to peak 1804 on ladder with a 46/5 wr on a new account
