Well... First off- i'm none too creative at making my own pokemon... So whenever i post RMTs, they will almost always be comprised of pre-made sets (provided with small changes made by me.) Next, i've still considered myself a beginner at Competitive Pokemon... This is the 2nd successful team i've made... (Successful by means of winning multiple matches) It's offensive... so... OFF TO THE FIRST POKEMON!
Infernape
Item: Focus Sash
Nature: Naughty (+AtK, -SpD)
EVs: 64 AtK/ 252 SpA/ 192 Speed
-Fake Out
-Stealth Rock
-Fire Blast
-Close Combat
For an offensive lead, i would guess it Doesn't get better than Infernape.
The Basic strategy is to remove leads in order for the Offense to have minimum hindrance. Likewise, with other leads out of the way, Stealth Rock comes in to haunt opposing teams. Focus Sash obviously allows Infernape to deal one huge blow to bulkier offensive pokemon who are slower before getting knocked out himself. If he fulfills his role successfully, he automatically becomes part of the huge arsenal of offense.
Weavile
Item: Choice Band
Nature: Jolly (+Atk, -SpA)
EVs: 252 Atk/ 40 Hp/ 216 Speed
-Ice Shard
-Brick Break
-Pursuit
-Night Slash
Weavile has been a HUGE contributor to this team *opens the door for ridicule of team*. I recall he 1HKO'd a Lucario once.... I chose Night Slash over Ice Punch for the extra Critical Hit Ratio. This was due to one time when i went up against a Tank-Achi, which stalled the life out of my team... This was the pokemon that nearly beat Jirachi because it got Crit Hits, effectively lowering its HP.... To no avail... I'd rather have Ice Punch, but I'm putting my trust in Ice Shard killing Salamence and Latias....
Kingdra
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 Atk/ 252 Speed/ 4 HP
-Substitute
-Dragon Dance
-Outrage
-Waterfall
The Biggest Offender on my team: Kingdra's single weakness makes substituting and Dragon Dancing an effective strategy. I once knocked out 2/3 of a team with this potential beast. Provided i'm not up against someone who also has upped his stats, this can prove fatal to any unprepared team.
Metagross
Item: Life Orb
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 112 HP / 252 Atk / 12 Def / 132 Spe
-Agility
-Meteor Mash
-EQ
-Thunderpunch
I've always wanted to try Agiligross. His massive attack stat + defenses (2 weaknesses) really suits speeding up and destroying opposing pokemon makes him a venerable addition to the offensive party. Thunderpunch is chosen for the coverage, as Weavile can deal with ground pokemon that wall him.
Gyrados
Item: Life Orb
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 Atk/ 252 Speed/ 4 HP
-Dragon Dance
-Waterfall
-EQ
-Stone Edge
This is going to be the stupidest thing ever said on RMT, but i don't know why he's on this team... I know he should be out for a special attacker... but i don't know who. For now, though, 2 Dragon Dancers make this team scary. The Roles of Set Up Sweepers in this team sort of off set the weakness to physical walls. I don't recall running into serious Wall threats yet though...
Gengar
Item: Wide Lens
Nature: Timid (+Speed, -Atk)
EVs: 252 SpA/ 252 Speed/ 4 Hp
-Hypnosis
-Shadow Ball
-Thunderbolt
-Focus Blast
My only Special Sweeper raps up this team. Gengar's speed and high special attack can pretty much cover for special attacking needs at the moment. Since Weavile is covered, i might give up Focus Blast for something more sufficient... Maybe Dark Pulse for Latias? But now that i think of it... Weavile = Pursuit. Gengar + Pursuit = X_X... Focus Blast does cover some steal types.....
Pros:
-This team can rip through an unprepared team really well
-Covers all but one type (electric). Electric is taken care of by several EQ users though.
-Good Type Coverage
-Some offsets can be dealt with by altering strategy. I played a Baton Passing Team which destroyed my team by switching in and out and about.... When i played the same team, i out switched it and destroyed it.
Cons
-Can be Stalled to death
-4 weaknesses shared by 2 pokemon
-about 13 type weaknesses....
-Physical Wall problems?
PS: I'm trying to think of ways to make this a better RMT...
