I was building the other day and landed with something similar to Adam's ghost + ice core + bulky water core. The team is built around choice banded glastrier which while losing some matchups like eleki more firmly secures matchups it should have but it can traditionally get finessed out of if running av or custap.

With banded icicle spear all zygarde problems are out the window (thankfully, as fully countering that mon is so annoying).

Close combat secures the non chople ttar matchup and scarf kartana (if one is worried about it). This can be swapped out for icicle crash for absolute zarude reliability (granted you don’t miss).

Heavy slam lets it beat all the pure fairies very reliably (and even some water fairies) unless they are carrying babiri, and if babiri counter is suspected icicle spear should still do good damage.

Payback secures the spectrier matchup.

252+ SpA Choice Specs Pixilate Sylveon Hyper Beam vs. 240 HP / 172 SpD Glastrier: 339-400 (84.5 - 99.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

96+ Atk Choice Band Glastrier Heavy Slam (120 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Aromatisse: 372-438 (91.6 - 107.8%) -- 50% chance to OHKO
96+ Atk Choice Band Glastrier Struggle vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Aromatisse: 78-92 (19.2 - 22.6%) -- possible 5HKO

252+ Atk Life Orb Rillaboom Fake Out vs. 240 HP / 0 Def Glastrier: 49-58 (12.2 - 14.4%) -- possibly the worst move ever
252+ Atk Life Orb Rillaboom Wood Hammer vs. 240 HP / 0 Def Glastrier in Grassy Terrain: 282-333 (70.3 - 83%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Grassy Terrain recovery

Spectrier is really underappreciated right now, and many times its only a will-o-wisp away from winning a diverse amount of matchups which works wonders with its great speed tier. I opted for a more specially bulky spectrier as defensively primarina and glastrier do a pretty good job.

Speed for base 100s, spdef for non specs primarina hydro cannon into hydro cannon after cm, rest in special attack.

Wisp into 2 hexes beats ferro
116+ SpA Spectrier Hex (130 BP) vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Ferrothorn: 204-240 (57.9 - 68.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after burn damage

116+ SpA Spectrier Hex (130 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Darmanitan-Galar: 373-439 (106.2 - 125%) -- guaranteed OHKO

To round out the core I opted for the compendium wacan primarina, an underused set that can catch a lot of unprepared teams off guard.
Hydro cannon is the good old reliable nuke, moonblast the usual broken stab move, and sparkling aria secures the Entei matchup along with helping against tyranitar/times you don’t want to lock yourself into a recharge turn.
Substitute is for the light screen nihilego matchup, though this can be replaced with endure for the specs Porygon-z matchup which otherwise 3-0s.

Glastrier covers AV tyranitar and primarina covers the rest.
Zeraora requires outplaying if very bulky taunt.
In the Spectrier versus metagross matchup a fast scarf variant can trick lock you into wisp but weakness policy wins if you hex t1.
Primarina can outplay rhyperior with substitute

In general, strong physically offensive pokemon need to be set-guessed for scarf vs band/custap as primarina/glastrier take care of the scarfers and spectrier handles the rest.

Glastrier takes care of scarf fini while spectrier handles the rest (hex isn't a good roll to 3 hit).
116+ SpA Spectrier Hex (65 BP) vs. 80 HP / 0 SpD Tapu Fini: 93-109 (30.8 - 36.2%) -- 53% chance to 3HKO

Nihilego and primarina also requires setguessing, specs being checked by glastrier and the rest by primarina/spectrier. Light screen nihilego is especially tricky. It can be outplayed with sparkling aria into sub spam into torrent hydro cannon.
Nihilego
252 SpA Choice Specs Nihilego Power Gem vs. 240 HP / 172 SpD Glastrier: 306-360 (76.3 - 89.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
96+ SpA Primarina Hydro Cannon vs. 56 HP / 0 SpD Nihilego: 372-440 (99.7 - 117.9%) -- 93.8% chance to OHKO
+1 200 SpA Nihilego Meteor Beam vs. 252 HP / 60 SpD Primarina: 232-274 (63.7 - 75.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
200 SpA Nihilego Sludge Wave vs. 252 HP / 60 SpD Primarina: 246-290 (67.5 - 79.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
96+ SpA Primarina Sparkling Aria vs. 56 HP / 0 SpD Nihilego through Light Screen: 112-133 (30 - 35.6%) -- 34% chance to 3HKO
96+ SpA Torrent Primarina Hydro Cannon vs. 56 HP / 0 SpD Nihilego through Light Screen: 279-328 (74.7 - 87.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Primarina
108+ SpA Choice Specs Primarina Moonblast vs. 240 HP / 172 SpD Glastrier: 178-210 (44.3 - 52.3%) -- 17.6% chance to 2HKO
104+ SpA Primarina Hydro Cannon vs. 52 HP / 208 SpD Spectrier: 225-265 (63.5 - 74.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
28+ SpA Spectrier Hex (130 BP) vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Primarina: 192-226 (52.8 - 62.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after burn damage
versus most prim wisp into cm/hex should be fine but against encore prim its a 50/50 between taunt and wisp/cm.

Banded urshifu and pheromosa with poison jab are rolls on primarina and are otherwise unchecked.
252+ Atk Choice Band Urshifu Poison Jab vs. 252 HP / 56 Def Primarina: 342-404 (93.9 - 110.9%) -- 62.5% chance to OHKO
252 Atk Choice Band Pheromosa Poison Jab vs. 252 HP / 56 Def Primarina: 324-382 (89 - 104.9%) -- 31.3% chance to OHKO

Spectrier hex is a roll on specs volcanion
+1 116+ SpA Spectrier Hex (65 BP) vs. 252 HP / 96 SpD Volcanion: 171-202 (46.9 - 55.4%) -- 74.2% chance to 2HKO

Iron defense tapu koko, stall arcanine and specs porygon-z are problematic as well.

Lastly, without icicle crash, the glastrier vs zarude matchup is slightly shaky.
If bulk up, icicle spear should win however if they power whip t1 and you don’t get the roll the next power whip can ohko. Overall the matchup is in glastrier’s favor though.
96+ Atk Choice Band Glastrier Icicle Spear (3 hits) vs. 252 HP / 28 Def Zarude: 366-438 (88.4 - 105.7%) -- approx. 31.3% chance to OHKO
0 Atk Zarude Power Whip vs. 240 HP / 0 Def Glastrier: 120-142 (29.9 - 35.4%) -- 27.5% chance to 3HKO

With icicle crash:
96+ Atk Choice Band Glastrier Icicle Crash vs. 252 HP / 28 Def Zarude: 416-492 (100.4 - 118.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Spectrier @ Sitrus Berry

Volcanion @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 88 HP / 92 Def / 136 SpA / 192 Spe

Glastrier @ Assault Vest
Ability: Chilling Neigh
EVs: 252 HP / 208 Atk / 48 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Avalanche
- Heavy Slam
- High Horsepower
- Payback

I opted for a more offensive spectrier that keeps normal wisp hex’s special benchmarks but with improved matchups against opposing special attackers.
Speed for base 100s, spdef for necrozma, special attack for volcanion.

+1 216+ SpA Spectrier Hex (65 BP) vs. 252 HP / 96 SpD Volcanion: 183-216 (50.2 - 59.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
60+ SpA Choice Specs Volcanion Steam Eruption vs. +1 56 HP / 104 SpD Spectrier: 183-216 (51.5 - 60.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
216+ SpA Spectrier Hex (130 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Darmanitan-Galar: 399-471 (113.6 - 134.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Scarf volcanion has focus blast over earthquake for specs porygon-z as nihilego is covered by Glastrier. Fire blast for av glastrier as overheat is a roll.

Glastrier does usual AV things, with avalanche for regidrago and no icicle spear as spectrier covers venusaur and payback-less Zygarde. High horsepower for zera and eleki.

Porygon-Z
Glastrier checks scarf, volcanion the rest.

Tapu Lele
As Spectrier is lacking physical bulk psyshock from specs lele can ohko but is covered by Glastrier while Spect covers ID.

Scarf Versus Band/custap
Haxorus, Dracozolt.
Glastrier covers scarfers, Spectrier the rest.

Crustle requires setguessing lum vs banded with spectrier, and lum needs to be outplayed.
Rotom Heat and Metagross can trick lock Spectrier if scarf but Spectrier doesn’t want to take a specs/banded hit.
Spectrier needs to predict correctly between taunt/hex against Carracosta.
Spectrier beats non AV zygarde which is covered by glastrier
Urshifu needs to be guessed between Rapid and Single strike.

Volcanion needs to hit 2 focus blasts to beat AV Urshifu and scarf Dracovish.

Kebia whimsicott is an annoying matchup as it can fish for fire blast miss and outstall.

The Tyranitar matchup is very sketchy, and heavily in Tyranitar’s favor against Volcanion. Band and custap 3-0, and against AV volcanion needs to hit 2 focus blasts.

Specs fini is a hard hitting, bulky water. This checks darm-g as well as beating stall and most dragons. This set bluffs being a defensive set by having misty surge, then hits you with trick.

Kartana @ Life Orb
Ability: Beast Boost
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Leaf Blade
- Smart Strike
- Sacred Sword
- Protect
This is a cool set, in beating some of this teams weaknesses, mainly custap mons, such as custap sylv and prim. Sacred sword is preferred over knock off here as it hits some threats to this team such as zarude and aggron.

Assault Vest lando is a very good check for many special attackers. This beats naganadel and necro, as well as electrics and some sturdies.

Overall, this team is a very solid non dfs team in the current meta

Gm people, DFS is boring, here's a sample to spice things up.

Adamant Nature
IVs: 16 Spe
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge

Glastrier is pretty straightforward, here to beat dragons and fairies, for set details see the compedium. Payback is for Spectrier.

Cresselia beats Urshifu-Rapid, Band Lando-T and stall pokemon, running more SpD than the compedium set to never be 3HKOd by Necrozma's Dark Pulse, allowing you to successfully stall it out with Trick -> Rest as long as you don't get flinched.

Conkeldurr beats Zeraora and the dark and steel types the rest of the team struggles with. Importantly, it beats every Metagross set except for WP, which Cresselia handles. Guts is the ability of choice for Spectrier, and to OHKO Porygon-Z and Darmanitan-Galar with Mach Punch. The 48 Def evs ensure you always live Rillaboom's LO Wood Hammer, KOing it back with Close Combat. Against Bulk Up Zeraora clicking Bulk Up twice you win by Knock Off Turn 1, as Knock Off + Close Combat + Mach Punch kills, while against Band Play Rough you protect Turn 1. Stone Edge is for Volcarona and Arcanine.

WP Swipe Regidrago is a real issue but since it's not part of the compedium one can assume it's not a relevant set.
s/o Murman for helping and LRXC because having his name here increases the chances of this getting accepted.
You either acknowledge that Regidrago is broken and forces fairies on every Team, or AV Glastrier counts as a Regidrago counter.

ok so zarude is what this team is built around, this thing is super bulky judging by the fact that it's a skinny monkey. it can make great use of its amazing bulk and the fact that it has bulk up to beat slower mons, it's also super fast so it can move before alot of physical attackers and click bulk up, if the opposing mon uses a super effective attack then u activate WP and bonk it back with a really hard darkest lariat/power whip (e.g. non scarf shifu), for mons that are faster but still dont OHKO with a super effective move then u just click one of your stabs and probably OHKO it (e.g. zeraora). u also simply click encore on stall mons and just bulk up a few times (encore again when it ends) then kill it with darkest lariat since it ignores stat changes (sometimes power whip is better so don't always click lariat)

magnezone is zarude's partner (it's a zarude + magnezone core), zarude gets owned by things like band haxorus, scarf gdarm, volcanion, steela, band aggron, AV glastrier (if megahorn), nidoking, etc..... what does all that lose to? magnezone ofc! tbolt and flash cannon for the sweet stab as well as annoying water types and fairies, hyper beam for extra coverage such as nidoking and haxorus. electro web is for bulldoze avalugg and sometimes volcanion cuz wacan, it's not a real set but very rarely is used so (make sure to predict and click tbolt on scarf volcanion)

now this zaruzone core gets smited by fire types and a few ground types, so u have primarina to deal with em. hydro cannon for the sweet big damage stab move, moonblast for a few annoying dragons, shifu and stab, ice beam is for the dragon/grounds that don't take super effective damage from water stab and are bulky enough to live a few moonblasts, sparkling aria for entei cuz that thing likes spamming subprotect so goddamn much (v good mon tho)

zarude: spd so it tanks modest nature heat wave from necro and 2HKOs back with lariat, outspeeds lando-I, def for adamant lo urshifu at +1

magnezone: timid with that amount of speed to outspeed jolly kartana after a single electro web (yes it's a 2HKO, just web twice or web into tbolt if it clicks knock)
but heyman why do i need to outspeed kartana, do i not just OHKO with spek hyper beam :((((
well u see little timmy, knock off kartana owns u if u don't outspeed, anyways that's the only thing it's EVd for and the rest is put into SpA and HP

primarina:
HP is for taking 3 hits from scarf togekiss, Def is for Choice Band Landorus-Therian, rest in special attack for the best odds against skitter smack zygarde

(totally didn't just copy and paste everything from EV document)

chople ferrothorn 3-0's
specs vikavolt 3-0's, this thing is currently being voted on, so u dont need to worry about it if it doesn't get ranked but ill add it anyway
bulk up LO zera needs to be played around with zarude
zarude mirror is sus, 0 Atk Zarude Power Whip vs. 240 HP / 160 Def Primarina: 320-378 (88.6 - 104.7%) -- 25% chance to OHKO (moonblast OHKOs)
glastrier, zarude beats custap and zone beats AV
opposing primarina, zone beats every set except wacan but zarude beats wacan and every other set except specs
zygarde, prim beats every set except subtox but zarude beats subtox
magnezone, u can play around custap zone with zarude and need to beat opposing specs zones in a mirror m/u (if they beat u then u call them unviable and immediately leave /s)

building a good sample is hard
if u need names, spam hungryfoodies on PS (jk please do not do that)
i spent way too much time in this, pls help
for AV zygarde, it comes down to rolls on prim
lastly, this game is goddamn rigged

The team was built around Entei and Fini as a core. Zygarde, the most notable counter, can simply be dealt with toxic Entei and then protect sub spam, which has led to me winning against all Zygardes I've faced off yet. Zeraora is the next notable counter, but power whip from Zarude 2hkos it, if it goes for bulk up (Zarude can easily tank a bulk up Close Combat), and if the Zeraora goes for Close Combat directly, Weakness Policy activates and we 1hko it. Necrozma heat wave with specs is the next counter, which can be tanked by Zarude and killed with Weakness Policy activated (as Zarude is faster, it'll attack the next move and win), and on the occasion it isn't specs, it cant win coz calm mind doesn't give u enough of a boost to kill it in 2 moves. Now comes Volcanion, which can simply be pp stalled with pressure sub protect Entei if specs, and if it isn't specs, u can just sneak in a toxic and then stall it out again. Magnezone, the most used mon nowadays, can be dealt with by Entei sacred fire in 1 hit (and most likely will get burnt too), plus Entei is faster. and on the occasion of a Custap berry Magnezone exists, and u didn't even get the burn, protect and just kill it. The Zarude is made to tank a hyper beam from Regieleki and then kill it easily, and can also tank sacred sword from a Kartana and kill it after Weakness policy activates.

Naganadel specs sweeps my team, along with Primarina specs. I made this sample taking that into consideration because those Pokemon's usage isn't that high. Scarf Volcanion scarf is also a counter (if it has overheat, sludge wave and steam eruption), otherwise Zarude tanks a flame thrower and 1hkos it.

This Fini set can be replaced with the Fini set in the first team, helps take care of every problem above, the only problem being that Togekiss can beat this set, which is overly used so I used the team above. Considering that high ladders don't use Togekiss a lot, this set can be used there and occasionally in tournaments, with almost no counters.

metagross is super bulky with a massive attack stat, but this set takes advantage of its bulk rather than attack, but attack won't matter a whole lot here since u have scarf to outspeed alot of non jolly/timid base 95s, it's amazing steel/psychic typing helps it beat fairies and poison types while not having the disadvantage of being weak to fighting. It's steel typing helps it against most fairies, grass types, poisons and a few dragons. it's psychic typing helps it not get owned by fighting types like phero and sawk. bulk is for scarf gdarm flare and to tank 3 surfs from 204 SpA from fini, rest invested in attack

metagross loses to fire types, dark types and ground types, what does all of that lose to? primarina, some of u might ask why im using prim over fini, well fini doesn't really beat whims and opposing scarf metagross. primarina is EVd to survive band lando t and kills back with ice beam killing it, it is also EVd to live 3 air slashes from scarf toge. ur also gonna have to beat opposing prim with energy ball (most prims dont run energy ball often so you'll usually be safe). the reason i removed hydro cannon from this set is because most of the matchups that need hydro cannon instead of sparkling aria just lose to the other 2

metagross and primarina cant really handle naganadel and certain dragapult sets that reliably, so u got regidrago to deal with em, also before i explain a bit more about drago, id just like to mention about drago vs zygarde. so on paper drago doesn't look like it's gonna beat AV zygarde, but u just have to click scale shot T1 (u have to click scale shot T1 against every zygarde set no matter what but if u think u can predict slower zygarde sets then do it but i wouldn't recommend it) then just outrage, for WP zygarde u do the same thing and for haban zygarde u might think it OHKOs u after a single DD but it doesnt). alr now that the zygarde m/u is clearer, so EVs are to tank ddarts from band pult and specs dmeteor from naganadel, atk is for the best rolls against ttar and speed is to outspeed specs spectrier after a scale shot

AVsteel is kind of a 3-0, cuz it just always clicks counter t1 and u click trick, then u can click mmash 4 times and from those 4 times ur super likely to get an attack boost and then kill it with EQ (it has a weird niche anyways)

koko is a guaranteed 3-0 but it has been falling off a bit lately

spectrier, u need to play around it with drago cuz disable (make sure to always click scale shot t1)

scarf haxorus loses to prim but band adamant exactly has a 50% chance to OHKO (people prefer scarf over this alot since it doesn't provide with much over scarf)

porygon z, metagross beats specs, drago beats scarf and prim beats custap

opposing metagross, u beat scarf and WP aith prim but u beat the other ones with your own metagross tho (this thing's popularity is going down faster than cyberpunk but it's still an issue ig)

aromatisse, trick when it clicks trick room and mmash when it clicks encore

necrozma matchup is weird, drago beats every specs set except modest max spa (safe to call it basically non existent and a niche set) and gross beats the rest

Naganadel has such very impressive special attack, and giving it specs just boosts its capabilities massively. At the cost of a little speed Nagandel can easily break through many meta fairies, such as Primarina and Tapu Fini. It also handles some stall mons reliably, such as Entei. Aegislash is just an all round goat. He takes care of many mons, such as Dragapult, Scarf Darm/GDarm, AV Metagross and can rid you of most fairy problems. He now counters Sylveon, and can beat specs and AV Primarina. And Pheromosa's raw strength is just unbelievable. Whatever the other pokemon can't handle, Phero is there to the rescue. She can easily counter pp stall mons like Kyurem and Zapdos. She can also beat many chople berries. She easily takes care of chople Blissey/Chansey..

Entei @ Assault Vest
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 152 HP / 20 Atk / 120 Def / 216 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Sacred Fire
- Bulldoze
- Extreme Speed
- Eruption

Tapu Fini @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Misty Surge
EVs: 252 HP / 104 Def / 84 SpA / 12 SpD / 56 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Surf
- Moonblast
- Stored Power
- Calm Mind

Rillaboom @ Life Orb
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 236 Atk / 96 Def / 176 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Taunt
- Wood Hammer
- Grassy Glide
- High Horsepower

Entei lives Scarf GDarm and lives a Counter from Standard AV Registeel after Sacred Fire, has Speed for Band GDarm, and has an Attack dump. It has Eruption for ID Registeel. Fini has Speed for Base 60s, Bulk for CB Aggron and 252 Modest Choice Specs Volcanion 3hkoing withh T1 and T2 CMs, and a SpAtk dump. Stored Power + Calm Mind beat Volcanion. The first Rillaboom has defense to live Garchomp, Attack to OHKO some threats like Sylveon and Aromatisse, and a Speed dump. This set has Taunt, mainly for Stall Cresselia, and should be used if you aren't worried about Dracozolt. The second Rillaboom has Defense to live Garchomp, Speed to outspeed Adamant Dracozolt, and an Attack dump. This set has HH for Dracozolt, and should be used if there are a lot of Dracozolts and if you aren't worried about stall Cresselia and Zapdos. Another option is to run both HH and Taunt on the second set, with no Wood Hammer, which gives up some things but allows you to have a hybrid of both sets.

The 2 Rillaboom sets were changed and merged into the one u currently see, which is a lot more efficient as fake out was unnecessary and with taunt, we can take take care of previously irritating Pokemons, such CM Cresselia and stall Zapdos.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to give a bit of an update since we have decided to change up how we do samples a bit. The submission process itself will remain nearly identical. Post you team with a description and it will get voted on just like before. However, we have updated the rules and voting process a bit so here is all the important stuff you need to know
  • We will now being doing voting in cycles. Instead of you submitting and us immediately voting we will give everyone time to submit, close the thread to vote, and then update the samples after we finish voting.
  • You can only submit up to two submissions per cycle. If you submit more than two teams in a cycle we will only accept the first two submissions and ignore and the others. You can submit them both in the same post or multiple as long as it is no more than two. You can also edit and change anything about your submissions up until the cycle ends. After that submissions will be locked until voting ends.
  • The first cycle will include every team from this submission and onwards. If you have already submitted a team it does count towards your two submissions.
Lastly, I would also like to emphasize that this thread is for submissions only. I encourage anyone who wishes to discuss submissions to use the 1v1 room or 1v1 discord, but please keep this thread to submissions only. I'll be back to give a heads up on when the cycle ends later so for now everyone can feel free to continue submitting. Thanks for reading, cya

With the new sample system in place, I ended up feeling inspired to try and put something together, enjoy:
:metagross::regidrago::jellicent:
HeyMan2694 I swear I didn't see your team before putting this together I'm sorry aaaaaaa
:ss/metagross:
Metagross @ Assault Vest
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 216 HP / 252 Atk / 40 Def
Adamant Nature
- Meteor Mash
- Bullet Punch
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch

Metagross does just about everything you'd expect it to, being a reliable fairy smacker with great stats and solid coverage.
- The Attack is maxed out to give Metagross as reliable of a chance at 2HKOing Haxorus with Ice Punch into Bullet Punch as possible.
- The special bulk allows Metagross to survive hits even as strong as Modest Choice Specs Fire Blast from Naganadel. Technically, you only need 136 EVs in HP for this; the extra HP is explained below.
- The physical bulk is to give Metagross a 6.3% roll to survive Adamant Choice Band Earthquake from Haxorus. Unfortunately, even if you use just the 136 HP and put the leftovers into Defense, you still only get a 6.3% roll at best, so I figured it best to put the remaining EVs into HP and balance them out with the Defense to squeeze out the most added special bulk you can get while still preserving the 6.3% roll.
:ss/regidrago:
Regidrago @ Haban Berry
Ability: Dragon's Maw
EVs: 8 HP / 220 Def / 68 SpA / 116 SpD / 96 Spe
Rash Nature
- Dragon Energy
- Draco Meteor
- Scale Shot
- Outrage / Breaking Swipe

Regidrago is Regidrago, doing its usual thing in beating just about every non-Fairy/Steel out there.
- The SpA alongside the Rash nature are used to 2HKO the predominant Assault Vest Urshifu spread with Draco Meteor followed by Outrage.
- The Speed outpaces base 100 Pokemon (namely Entei) after using Scale Shot.
- The bulk is carefully calculated to provide Regidrago the best odds of surviving 2 Wicked Blow/Close Combat from Assault Vest Urshifu as well as Modest Choice Specs Draco Meteor from Dragapult, as well as Prismatic Laser from non-boosted Necrozma.
- Breaking Swipe is an alternative move over Outrage, namely being useful for cutting the Atk of opponents who might otherwise KO you like Avalugg and Shell Smash Crustle.
:ss/jellicent:
Jellicent @ Maranga Berry
Ability: Cursed Body
EVs: 252 HP / 80 Def / 80 SpD / 96 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Taunt
- Recover
- Strength Sap
- Night Shade

Jellicent is a bit of a unique threat, having a very bulky stat spread, as well as an excellent movepool for stalling that also allows it to deal with most other stallers.
- The physical bulk allows Jellicent to survive a Choice Band Earthquake from Darmanitan-Galar.
- The special bulk allows Jellicent to survive a Choice Specs Prismatic Laser from Necrozma.
- The Speed is leftovers that help Jellicent in outspeeding the various other base 60 Pokemon that are in the metagame.

Overall, the team was designed with mainstream use in mind, ie ladder and roomtours. A lot of the awkward matchups that this team faces are generally issues that stem from not knowing the opponent's sets, but in ladder and roomtours, these naturally become less of an issue, as you often face the same opponents multiple times over the course of a single session. Furthermore, some threats to the team like Moltres-Galar, Tapu Koko, Babiri Whimsicott, and etc, can be dealt with through small tweaks to the team, whether it be through adding Power-up Punch to Metagross, giving Regidrago Assault Vest, giving Jellicent Mental Herb, or however else you need to handle an annoying threat, you can do so subtly without drastically changing the team or making it obvious that you changed anything at all. Other than that, the biggest nuisances to the team are going to be picking against Darmanitan-Galar, Urshifu-Single, Necrozma, Kartana, and Ferrothorn, as these are all prominent threats that the team only really has one good answer to for each.
Metagross @ Assault Vest
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 216 HP / 252 Atk / 40 Def
Adamant Nature
- Meteor Mash
- Bullet Punch

- Ice Punch

Regidrago @ Haban Berry
Ability: Dragon's Maw
EVs: 8 HP / 220 Def / 68 SpA / 116 SpD / 96 Spe
Rash Nature
- Dragon Energy
- Draco Meteor
- Scale Shot
- Outrage / Breaking Swipe

Jellicent @ Maranga Berry

Alright, I got a few questions for you guys.

Are you tired of losing?

Want a team that's simple to use?

Not tired of the common Steel/Dragon/Fairy cores?

Want a team full of completely broken pokemon that has little to no bad matchups, even with people in the top 100 (got to 88, proof below)?

If this is you, then BOY do I have a team for you. Introooooducing:

Creativity Not Allowed

Sets

Sylveon @ Custap Berry
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 HP / 148 Def / 92 SpA / 16 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hyper Beam
- Hyper Voice
- Fake Tears
- Endure

Description: Yeah, the meta HATES this one. This is what you go for if none of your other teammates work. Standard procedure. Note it covers fully invested scarf and band Darm with endure, which means Haxs can run band. Can solo a LOT of teams that aren't prepared for it (which most are in the high ladder). Watch out for steel and poison coverage, though. Heavy slam and specs sludge wave are your ENEMY. Also, watch out for other custaps, choice trickers, and knock off.

When you get to high ladder, don't always do the standard fake tears, endure, hyper beam. Your opponents are very aware of that sequence and will play around it. When you think they'll do something that won't put you below 25%, fire off early if you can kill them. ONLY DO THIS ON THE HIGH LADDER.

Haxorus @ Choice Band
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Outrage
- Poison Jab
- Close Combat
- Earthquake

Description: Holy crap, Hax hits like a truck. He's mold-breaker for Magnezone, can 1v1 some Tangrowths (50/50 with the rest), every mon with sturdy (except for Avalugg) gets rolled, and can one-shot Zygarde. Just sheer damage. Just don't get disabled or go against physical tanks you can't one shot, though. That's what the other two are for.

Celesteela @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 36 Def / 148 SpA / 68 SpD
Quiet Nature
- Air Slash
- Heavy Slam
- Flamethrower
- Leech Seed

Description: This set was made for literally EVERYONE ELSE the above two couldn't handle. Heavy slam for Togekiss, leech seed for stall, flamethrower for Ferrowthorn, enough survivability to live 2 scarfed Togekisses fire blasts, sitrus for extra survivability, and so on.If you think the opponent has a choiced mon, DO NOT CLICK LEECH SEED. Start with an attack move to see if they're choiced, THEN seed. Like I said, though, you want to end the battles quickly. Only use seed if it's safe to.

Counters

Look, I'm going to be real with you. There are only two counters for this team (that I know of):

1. Everyone knows the sets.

2. You might not know your opponent's sets/plays due to their creativity and my lack of it.

Love to hear what you guys have to say about the team. I really don't want to keep using it. It gets results, don't get me wrong, but I want to get top 50 with a cool team rather than this one.

If you're really struggling climbing, I'm pretty sure this is what you're looking for. But remember this: a team is only as strong as the player.

Proof of Concept [no replays :( ]

Ok.. to be honest, this will not be a bad team ok? anyway here is my team!

The DRAGON, The FISH, and The HYPER??

Regidrago_SS.gif
Tapu Fini.gif
sylveon.gif

The DRAGON (Regidrago) @ Choice Band
Ability: Dragon's Maw
EVs: 252 Atk / 84 Def / 172 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Outrage
- Scale Shot
- Hammer Arm
- Fire Fang

The FISH (Tapu Fini) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Misty Surge
EVs: 248 HP / 176 SpA / 84 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Surf
- Calm Mind
- Taunt

The HYPER?? (Sylveon) (F) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Pixilate
EVs: 252 HP / 216 Def / 24 SpA / 16 SpD
Modest Nature
- Hyper Voice
- Yawn
- Protect
- Fake Tears

Alright guys... let's just settle this set introducing... THE DRAGON, THE FISH and THE HYPER??

ok anyway, The set I put Sylveon and Tapu Fini item was Sitrus berry, why? because the last battle that Sylveon almost died from the other pokemon so I decide to make it safe, however Regidrago item used choice band which is the pokemon will able to choose 1 move to attack the pokemon after the turn end it will stay at moves that you choose. Tapu Fini will able to spread the battle field using the Misty Surge ability, so yeah Sylveon will need to defend herself by using protect, she use yawn first to asleep the pokemon in 1 turn, when the pokemon attack sylveon, she needs to use protect to make it safe.

Keep in mind!

If the pokemon awakes easily.. then the pokemon attacks Sylveon. here is the step that I need to stop the movement the pokemon easily:

Step 1: Sylveon will use yawn. which means the pokemon will get drowsy and asleep in 1 turn.
Step 2: when the Enemy attacks Sylveon before he gets asleep, Sylveon will use Protect to make it safe.
and then Step 3: Sylveon will use fake tears to the pokemon to decrease the special defense stats.

After all sylveon will one shot the pokemon using the Hyper voice.

And that's it hope you like it! :)

Pizza Time! I'll have a big Pizza Diavolo with extra Jalapenos and hot sau -

Poke Otter, Heyman2694 and frogfacts (phrogfacts) proudly present
THE "ENTER EDGY TEAMNAME HERE" Sample team.
truly edgy, like blade.
Raging Storm (Tapu Koko) @ Electric Seed
Ability: Electric Surge
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Roost
- Thunderbolt
- Iron Defense
- Taunt

Blazing inferno (Entei) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 76 Atk / 216 Def / 216 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Sacred Fire
- Bulldoze
- Extreme Speed
- Flare Blitz

Jimmy Neutron (Kyurem) @ Haban Berry
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 16 HP / 148 Def / 116 SpA / 228 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Glaciate
- Earth Power
- Freeze-Dry

Koko is a very strong meta threat with good chances against the majority of high ranked / highly used mons:
It doesnt struggle 2HKOing non AV Urshs while tanking 1 band or 2 scarf hits trough electric seed. Taunt helps breaking other stallers and boosters,
while Koko generally beats fini and Regidrago.

The lack of a STAB fairy type move on Koko is supported by Kyurem which beats pretty much all other dragons trough haban berry. an exception to this would be unnerve haxorus tho. This matchup is unfortunately inconsistant because Outrage has a 50% chance to ohko, so its basically a coin flip.
Koko takes care of band Haxorus tho.

AV entei takes out Fairies like Sylveon very consistently as well as GDarm, while kind of preventing trick trough AV, so hes a very nice Teammate to have.

-Special thanks to: 1 EAST, Ncalathes, Phrogphacts, Frogfacts, Heyman2694, PokeOtter, HereComesTeamCharm!

Band Ghost dragon thingy is a problem.

- ce on my pizza. also could you add some chickie nuggies as a side dish? thank you. I will pay in cash.

FWG Greek God Alliance
Hephaestus (Entei) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 120 HP / 136 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Protect
- Substitute
- Sacred Fire
- Toxic

Poseidon (Dracovish) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Strong Jaw
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Fishious Rend
- Outrage
- Psychic Fangs
- Leech Life

Demeter (Tapu Bulu) @ Grassy Seed
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 240 HP / 12 Atk / 200 Def / 56 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dazzling Gleam
- Horn Leech
- Disable
- Taunt

This is your average FWG team, here is a bit of a description for it. This will allow you to know everything required to know to use it!

Entei is a great mon and wins a lot of matchups with its toxic into prot then sub spam, its pressure ability also allows depletion of an enemy's move PP. This team severely struggles against Aggron and you can use Sacred Fire for a 50% burn chance whih allows you to have a 50% chance at beating it. Entei beats all Celesteelas, Sylveon, Ninetales-Alola and Tapu Bulu allowing the team to not require a steel/poison type(s) to handle any fairy types. Entei is required to beat specs Necrozma as Tapu Bulu is unable to.

Dracovish is something I loved to build around and use for a sample, it's as easy as click Fishious rend unless something else is super effective. Therefore there isn't much to say... But when against Zygarde make sure to use Fishious Rend as if they're Weakness Policy they kill you with Breaking Swipe/Thousand Arrows into E Speed if you click Outrage. This Pokemon really glues the team together with it's high damage output and it's 409.5 speed when Choice Scarf is counted.

Tapu Bulu is a great and incredibly fun, it's got good bulk and options to disable, taunt and the fairy typing to give it an edge over other grass types like Rillaboom. Something to note is that it's Sp Atk is lower than it's Atk so that even if something takes 2x from Dazzling Gleam, Horn Leech will deal more damage as long as it is effective. Dazzling Gleam is useful for when Pokemon get 4x damage from fairy such as Urshifu. To kill Aggron with the speed advantage you just need to disable turn 1. Allowing Aggron to not 3-0.

Since this team was my first sample and I have seen some criticisms, three Pokemon that are required to worry about are Aromatisse, Porygon-Z and Togekiss as this team doesn't have the best matchups against them at all.

but I think entei needs 112 hp to substitute an extra time (not 100% sure but with 120 hp I think you’ll be left with 24%-23% hp, and with 112 EVs you should have 26% leftover).
A) 120 hp does in fact get you the extra sub it's a multiple of 16+1

Urshifu Broke

:Urshifu:
Bad Mons (Urshifu) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Unseen Fist
EVs: 248 HP / 96 Atk / 104 Def / 60 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Wicked Blow
- Close Combat
- Sucker Punch
- Counter

Description: The team was originally built around this mon as I wanted to use Urshifu-S as it seemed stupid good and it is. I chose the Av set because it had Counter which I thought was pretty epic, and I also liked that it was a more bulky offensive set which I tend to gravitate to more than other types of sets. Ev's and moves are standard.

:Tapu Fini:
Hax (Tapu Fini) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Misty Surge
EVs: 60 HP / 24 Def / 252 SpA / 164 SpD / 8 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hydro Pump
- Moonblast
- Ice Beam
- Trick

Description: Again another more bulky offensive set real original I know the reason I chose specs Fini was, because I wanted to generate a bit more instant offense. I chose Fini over Primarina because I wanted a bit more bulk and Trick however you still could try a Prim here if you wanted to, and it might lead to decent or good results possibly even better then the original team. The ev's are to give you the best chance to beat Scarf Toge and make you pretty generally bulky 8 speed is to out speed 0 and 4,and 8 speed Fini's however you could run 228 speed (88 evs) for Av Lando-T.

:Volcarona:
Unsets (Volcarona) @ Custap Berry
Ability: Swarm
EVs: 240 HP / 184 SpA / 52 SpD / 32 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Overheat
- Bug Buzz
- Quiver Dance
- Endure

Description: At first this slot was Zen Mode G-Darm but it just felt underwhelming so then it became Rhyperior, and I realized I had 0 Rilla mu so I made it Lix I didn't really like it so it became Exa then Mamo and finally Volc who helps with Zera, custap mons, and more setup type mons. As well as giving you an actual chance against Rilla and other Grass types.

Other Notes: Scarf Toge is a very hard mu and some Fini sets can pose a problem however otherwise you can win almost any other Mu with out rng Edit: Specs Nihi 3-0's so does Grassy Seed Arco Rilla. However if you have any tweaks/suggestions or comments I would love to hear them :).

avalugg custapsturdy+mirror balance+rilaaspam

the main reason to choose this team is that avalugg is a high def mon and can learn body press and also has sturdy plus very low special def stat and can learn mirrorcoat so best way to tackle special attacks is sturdy+custapberry if a physical user.
rilla is a good physical mon +Surge and glide swords dance knockoff+gseed+drain punch make him a good phy user.
in most sample sylveon in used due to pixilate +custap+endure+hyper beam+faketears+mysticalfire so its compulsary to put this small legend lmao.

Introducing,

Lele Hacks Volcanoes:

Tapuccino (Tapu Lele) @ Psychic Seed
Ability: Psychic Surge
EVs: 248 HP / 108 Def / 112 SpA / 36 SpD / 4 Spe
Modest Nature
- Moonblast
- Psyshock
- Taunt
- Calm Mind

Haxerous (Haxorus) @ Haban Berry
Ability: Mold Breaker
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 32 HP / 128 Atk / 136 Def / 212 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Laser Focus
- Dragon Dance

Volcano (Volcanion) @ Air Balloon
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 84 Def / 76 SpA / 96 Spe
Bold Nature
- Steam Eruption
- Overheat
- Flame Charge
- Will-O-Wisp

Okay so this was one of the first teams I built, built around Tapu Lele, I messed around with a lot of Lele + Dragapult, but those teams always lost to Aggron, so I settled on Haxorus, which has Mold Breaker.

Tapu Lele has the standard Seed Offense set, except it creeps opposing no speed investment Lele (click Taunt t1 and then CM). It tanks Modest Specs Sludge Wave from Naganadel, and lives a Poison Jab from Band Garchomp. Tapu Lele beats Fini (you click Psyshock t1 in case of Trick, then CM and Psyshock) and Bulu most of the time, probably Koko too.

The Haxorus set, I'm rather proud of. 212 speed outspeeds max speed Zeraora after DDance, and outspeeds Scarf 252+ Atk Dracozolt. Laser Focus beats Registeel at +2 (you click Dragon Dance t1, if they ID, you can't DDance again as two BPress will kill Haxorus at +2, so you Laser Focus into Earthquake, which kills Stall BPress Registeel). HP is to live three STosses. Defense tanks Scarf Adamant Dracozolt, which looks like a 3-0 to the team.

Volcanion is impressively bulky. It lives a Band Max Attack Darmanitan-Galar Giga Impact, and speed creeps Aggron (click Wisp t1), rest is in SpA. Flame Charge beats Sawk (FC t1 and then Steam Eruption), Venusaur, and fast Sub mons.

This team loses to hard-hitting Dragons like Dragapult, Haxorus, and perhaps Kyurem. It also loses to Standard LO Play Rough Zeraora that clicks Bulk Up t1.

With dual setup and lefties + dkiss Tapu Fini covers almost every pokemon that isn't electric, grass, steel, or poison. It also serves as the team's stallbreaker, foregoing surf at very little cost and still being able to check fire types such as Entei and Heatran without it.
Fini vs Heatran https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen81v1-1472439454

AV Zeraora helps glue the team together taking care of fast poison types that threaten Tapu Fini, non-grounded steels that Landorus might struggle with such as Celesteela as well as covering most of the fairies and the special attacking dragons.

While not as versatile as its therian twin, lando-i makes much better use of the unique coverage they get, covering grasses and opposing electrics that its partners can't handle. Choice specs + sheer force allow Landorus to ohko frail non resists such as haxorus and Whimsicott through Kebia Berry. The defense invest is there to reliably check all Dracozolt as well as living life orb fake out into glide from Rillaboom.

Fairy Bait

This team is meant to bait fairies, whilst counter a lot of the current meta mons. Specially Defensive Nagandel will surely suprise the opponent. With max Sp Def, it is able to survive a custap sylveon hyperbeam. it can also survive specs Primarina moonblast with ease, along with most Zygarde builds. Naganadel can also survive 3 air slashes from Togekiss, so its a small gamble with flinch. Haxorus beats most if not all sturdy mons with unnerve. he also counters Regidrago reliably And Iron Tail > Poison Jab gets rid of Problems such as Tapu Lele. Urshifu can beat any darm g, with chople bulk up. He can also beat Necrozma and Zone. All in all, this team gets great coverage.
