If Man Utd are mid table quality without Rooney then how come they steamrolled the league last season when Rooney was playing terribly? Use your brain man.

Dunno why you guys are struggling so much Nos, this top 4 thing is a piece of piss.

In all fairness they steamrolled the league last season because every competitor they had messed up in some way or another, though the point still stands.

Stoke at the Britannia is a very hard game, this doesn't really tell us that much about Man Utd without Rooney imo.

That's the way a league works bud, the fact that United didn't 'mess up in some way or another' speaks volumes about the sort of team they are. By all means hate on phalanx, but don't lower yourself to his level by spouting utter shit - Man Utd are inarguably one of the top three teams in the world.

what are you on about with utter shit? bolton were poor, arsenals results speak volumes, i though bolton would have got something against them.

united were not at thier best, but the foul that injured Chicharito was a penalty (and sending off) that was not given, could have changed the game very early on if it were given.

Also leeds too strong, fucking mccormack (though i doubt anyone else here cares about the championship any more)

im a leeds fan you fool!!! yeah we looked really tired after we went 2-0 up, we should've put the game to bed but we ended up needing rossy's last minute equaliser... typical leeds

also why does carroll still get a game, he is probably the single most overrated footballer in the premier league. of the signings kenny has made, id only play downing and enrique as first xi players.

That was the first United game I missed this season, managed to avoid the score and watch Match of the Day.

As soon as I saw there was no Rooney I had a bit of a worry, then the injury to Hernandez again >_< which was a penalty I think everyone would agree. I've only heard the side of the story from Man Utd fans but apparently the ref had a shocker (not just that decision, and not just against United either). However, considering we were missing a lot of players, had to have a few re-shuffles just before and during the game. Stoke is a hard place to win at, even though we've always beaten them, so getting a point isn't a bad result by any means. We can't win every game.

On paper we have two games we should win comfortably now and the injuries shouldn't effect us - then it's an international break at the right time so more players can be back for Liverpool.

Did you read my post about our away form in the league?

Ahem, we scored 2 good goals against Given in the Carling Cup on Tuesday. Therefore Shay Given would not have "saved everything".

Good performance by Torres,Anelka,Meireles and, most of all,Ramires.Looks like Torres is almost back in form.Hope he continues scoring.Too bad he got sent off, that was one amazing goal and really boosted his confidence.Pretty sure he would've scored another without the red card.Delighted with Drogba's goalscoring return.Ramires was easily Man of the Match for me.Hopefully,Sturridge will recover soon.

Lol @ Richard Dunne. Rich vein of own-goal scoring form.

I support Cardiff too!!! Bluebirds doing better than I expected this season, I'd take the play-offs no bother.

Oh mighty Aston Villa, please teach us how you managed to drop the most points from winning positions last season and look set to continue that trend this season.

excuse me akuchi that is not even the whole chant and a bit of what you typed is wrong. us leeds fans take slander via chanting very seriously and it must be up to standard! ;)

Oh I understand that the fact that they didn't screw up shows their own quality, I'm just saying that if the other teams hadn't of screwed up it wouldn't have been anywhere near so easy for them (though I'd say maybe top 5 rather than top 3, I view the big 2 from spain as definitely better and milan and bayern have both impressed me just as much as Man Utd have recently, so it's a pretty close thing.) Also it wasn't me hating on phalanx, this was bartman and i actually have no problem with him, i don't even view him as too much of a glory hunter since he actually lives in manchester.

has anyone heard of the Honduran league? I guess not..

in anyway I think that with Cesc Fabregas Barca has become a fearful offense with Xavi and Iniesta on the center no soccer team will be alive..

On the contrary they looked more threatening last season than they do now IMO
