Gratz to Atletico and Arsenal. Probably Sagna's last game in an Arsenal shirt and what a way to go out.

Well done to Hull, accidentally found myself cheering on an underdog equalizer for a split second. Well done to Atletico, can't believe they actually won La liga. Bring on next season Arsenal! ^_^

Welp dortmund just scored a clear goal not counted when it was cleared from well into the goal... why do we not have cameras for this shit yet?

to be fair Hummels was offside.
i never saw a replay from a good angle but it at least looked close... the shot wasnt even particularly close to not being in. If he was offside i guess that makes it a little better, but still, i've never heard a legitimate reason against having the ability to review goal line decisions

It's not often that you can say Bayern were good defensively since they won the league, but they were good tonight with the three at the back.

It was a pretty even match. For bayern Martinez was immense at the back and toni kroos was probably the best outfield player. Ribery looks every bit his age but then you look at robben and wonder why.

And Mandzukic was omitted from the squad amid rumors of a £15 +player swap deal with Chelsea for David Luiz. And Atletico are rumored to be insisting on a Lukaku-Costa swap deal......

Why didn't we play at least a bit like this against real y_y

Grats to Atlético and Arsenal too

I'd like to take a moment to congratulate Cambridge United, from the city where I used to live, on returning to the football league by playoffs for the first time in 9 years!

well done U's keep it up

Alessio Cerci, been fantastic for Torino this season.

93:15 on the clock, Torino gets a penalty, and if they score, they're playing in europe next season instead of Parma.

Cerci misses...

Torino certainly had their chances to win the game but failed to take them.

Immobile is most likely going to leave them this summer. Dortmund are close to finalizing the deal.

Btw regarding the three Bayern players that are being linked with move away only one of them is likely to leave in Mandzukic. Mandzukic has been in a foul mood all season. Was given plenty of chances to fall in line, didn't take them.

On Kroos and Martinez, Guardiola rates both of them highly and given that all three of them did well in the final yesterday, I don't see how either of them will be leaving this summer or in the near future.

Apparently Liverpool is close to sealing a deal for Emre Can for around 10 to 12 mil. Bayern have the final say in this deal so it should be interesting to see what they do. This would be a good deal for Liverpool. Could play full-back but could easily fit into the diamond system or the 4-3-3.

There's so many rumours floating around, Liverpool going in for Shaquiri + Richards possibly, City signing up Fernando + Mangala + Sagna, Man Utd getting linked with everyone, Chelsea are always in the market, Arsenal moving for... Barry... just have to try to stay calm and enter a zen like state til late August...

Lol. Arsenal are also linked with Benzema and Draxler, as well as a few other names being thrown out. But man.. you're almost as bad as the English papers with that Barry comment.

Chelsea and City are always linked to practically everyone, doesn't even phase me.

I'm content in our squad, our midfield is perfect, just need a solid striker and a Sagna replacement as well as a CB cover for Per, and we are set. Our mentality is going to be wonderful after yesterday, a lot of pressure is removed and the boys know that they have what it takes to win a trophy.

Plus, I won the fantasy league for my group of ppl I know. #cloud9baby!

It's a damn shame how many haters on Twitter and the like have spent yesterday and today trying to bash down all the Arsenal fans, it's truly pathetic. But that's 90% of what Twitter is for to the scum of the earth.

I don't have anything else to go on but the papers lol! Draxler is dead in the water I think and Benzema will only move if Real get another striker in (read: Suarez) so yeah I think that one is unlikely too cos there will surely be other teams apart from Arsenal that would want him. Morata is more realistic but Real rate him too so I dunno. I would love to get Richards though, as long as he stays fit and works hard on his fitness he is a quality right back and can play cb too so two birds with one stone. I've no idea why City want to let him go. Makes no sense to get Sagna.

The signings I'd most like to see is Richards or Coleman + we keep Vermaelen + sign a young centre back or someone from the academy steps up (e.g. Miquel although the boat seems to have sailed with him) + sign a top keeper to really compete with Szczesny + sign a pacey winger like Alexis + a striker with better feet than Giroud (which is not hard Wenger!)

As much as I want Suarez to stay in the PL, I can't help but imagine Ronaldo + Suarez + Bale in the same team, so I guess whichever way it goes this summer I'd be happy. How much would Liverpool fans sell Suarez for? What if Madrid came in with £100m??

I just wanted to pop in and say - we finally got that monkey off our backs. I fucking love this team and squad. Just need Bac to stay now. And my god, I love Aaron Ramsey.

Hopes for the transfer window are: Javi Martinez, Benzema, Vela. Would be within 60-70 mill tops. Oh, and Sagna (he's LIKE A NEW SIGNING). Would need to replace him if he leaves, same with Vermalen and Fab. I can do with Mandzukic over Benzema though I'd prefer Benzema. Also, if we can somehow afford Griezmann, I'd be happy as hell. Richards is a great free agent pickup as well.

Also, I can't believe I haven't shared this here before but check out TheShortFuse - it's an amazingly intelligent community of Arsenal fans. My favorite place for any kind of news about the club as well as any kind of discussion. Plus, the people there are hilarious. Somehow, the usual retarded fans who are abundant everywhere else don't appear here.

SBNation has other blogs for all other major football teams (as well as other sports) which are generally top notch (in comparison to most other sports blogs/fansites).

Slightly different note, do we do Fantasy Football here on Smogon? If so, do we just do the usual EPL Fantasy website? Found a pretty epic place to set up a draft-style league. Did it this season, was beautiful. Wouldn't mind doing a separate league with Smogon next season if there are people interested.

And simply because, this deserves it's own post.

And here's the new chant people came up with:

TWO NIL DOWN
THREE TWO UP
AARON RAMSEY
WON US THE CUP

Again, love this bloody team.

In the other news Giggs quietly retires.

Some Reds fan forums are predicting a comeback 3 years later as manager after Van Gaal's contract expires.

Could definitely see that happening, similarly to wants happening with Zidane at Madrid.

Wenger looks to be staying a bit longer with a three year deal. Even if he didn't win the Fa cup I think he should be allowed to manage the team he has at the moment which is very good with improvement needed in other areas such as Dm and a back up Cb.

Mandzukic looks certain to be playing elsewhere. I have no idea where he will be on sept 1 but he won't be playing for Bayern.
