Welcome to the culmination tour for the 2018 NeverUsed tournament circuit. After 11 months and 6 tournaments we finally have a competitive and accomplished top 16. Over the next few weeks they will be fighting for the chance to get the first NeverUsed ribbon!

Specific Rules:
  • This is a standard USM NU tournament.
  • Matches are to be played on PS!, preferably on the smogtours server.
  • All rounds will be a best of three in this single elimination tournament, and you are free to switch teams during your series.
  • The tier is LOCKED as of this post, and so any changes to the tier after this won't affect this tournament.
Standard Rules and Clauses:
  • Species Clause: A player cannot have two Pokemon with the same PokeDex number on his team.
  • Sleep Clause: You cannot inflict sleep upon more than one member of the opposing team.
  • Evasion Clause: The moves Double Team and Minimize are banned.
  • OHKO Clause: The moves Horn Drill, Guillotine, Sheer Cold, and Fissure are banned.
  • Endless Battle Clause: Anything capable of intentionally creating an endless battle is banned.
  • Other Smogon tournament rules also apply.

1. Kushalos vs 16. Finchinator - I would put both at a similar level, perhaps slightly in Finch’s favor, playing wise. Kushalos leads in creativity when teambuilding, but Finch may overcome this by studying replays religiously. The cook is fire, but the poet got this 55-45

Nobody seems to be capable to counterteam your limited amount of builds. I don’t know if you have changed, but in the past you always had the tendency to stick to your guns and end up getting stalled (rodriblutar) or beatdown (me)! You are one of the best NU player, but not as good as...

6. Realistic Waters vs 11. LAX

I like you just as much as you dislike me. You may have trouble dealing with the jerks war (rozes is a f word for ruwc), but you know how to handle the competition in NU. GL.

7. Exiline vs 10. FLCL

teal6 should stop drafting you for OU and slot you in NU, where your ideas can actually work out.
 
1. Kushalos vs 16. Finchinator -Undoubtedly the highlight of the round. Honestly, anything could happen here, but I'll give finch the edge because their skill level is similar but kush tends to throw sometimes, and his builds are a bit exploitable w the right prep.
2. Pohjis vs 15. HT -I don't know if I have seen HT builds so I can't judge his building, but pohjis' is solid and I think his skill is much higher than HT's.
3. Cdumas vs 14. HANTSUKI
4. Eternally vs 13. Plas -I think he's one of the best NU players rn, if only he'd stop using useless comfey sets...
5. Teddeh vs 12. Sjneider -He's very solid as a player when he's in shape, so if sjneider doesn't counterstyle his repetitive building or if Teddeh goes out of his confort zone, I think he'll win.
6. Realistic Waters vs 11. LAX -If he preps well he'll prob win, but I wouldn't underestimate waters.
7. Exiline vs 10. FLCL -Pretty much the same thing as above.
8. Snou vs 9. Osh -I don't really know both of these, but I think snou is better as a player.
