Predictions

16th seed cluster: Adaam

Pearl vs Adaam (60:40)
Pearl's one of the best SMers plus he has the ability to drag you down into the shadow realm of DPP, along with competency in every old tier. Adaam's been super hot in SM and probably has the best chance of stealing the series through some wins there, provided the teams he brings aren't too creative. Pearl may have some motivation issues too, and Adaam could be on the fight for an SPL spot, an upset isn't out of the question here.

edi0n vs SilvioGuacamole (60:40)

Thought edi0n's UU Open run was really solid and he was a pretty versatile player. Silvio's one of the less exciting qualifiers but not a total slouch by any means, probably has a better grip with the meta than edi0n does and could win in the teambuilding department. I think edi0n's superior battle execution should let him take this though.

Shiba vs Freeroamer (70:30)

Roamer's self proclaimed weak in old gens and I think the inevitable ADV game will be hard for him to get by, he can probably get one of the SM games but I think taking both of them versus someone of Shiba's caliber will be really tough. The two Smashers know each other well, however, so this could be closer than I think.

Lycans vs HT (51:49)

Highlight series for sure, two players who've been around for awhile and no doubt know each other well. Mostly a gut feeling but based on the way I've seen Lycans play I think his aggressive style is a little harder to play around. Could go either way.

robjr vs Teddeh (45:55)

Gonna go for the upset here I think Teddeh's been quite good in UU recently, going far in Open and winning all his UU Slam playoff games, he has a bank of teams from UU mains like Hogg to support him too. Rob is obviously a serious opponent and not to be underestimated and could definitely take this, one of the closer series for sure.

HarrisIsAwesome vs Kushalos (45:55)

Kushalos has a lot of UU experience in older gens, along with being on fire in general among lower tiers. Harris had a great slam run but I think Kushalos is a bit more dynamic as a player, and with the potential of old gens in the mix that comes up for a small advantage to him.

Amane Misa vs Accelgor (40:60)

Misa's had a quietly excellent run in SM, placing in most of the circuit tours with a great Quarterfinal Open run, but Accelgor's advantage in old gens may be too much for her to handle. I think he will probably be able to handle her unorthodox building while having the safety net of a BW or ADV game if needed, but Misa could potentially steal the SM games with the right bag of tricks.

Playing Gondra on Tuesday, time tbd, probably sometime in the evening. Looking forward to it!

Lost in 3 to edi0n, ggs. Never expected my first ever game of BW UU would be in Champs, so that was an experience in itself. Gutted to go out the way I did but it was a decent series, thanks to the guys who supported me, be it team advice, tests or throwing me teams last second on stours. You know who you are :psysly:

Adaam or Rob to take it all!
