2026 Other Metas Tour Circuit

Hello everyone, the OM tournament circuit will return in 2026! OM players will have a chance to prove that they are the best by competing in a series of tournaments throughout the year and earning points. At the end of the year, there will be a seeded playoffs consisting of the top 16 players with the most points. The winner of the playoffs will be crowned the overall best OM player of the year and have the ribbon above added to their postbit, and they can choose between a custom avatar, a name change, or a name color change on PS!. The ribbon will last for a year until it is greyed out and permanently affixed to your postbit.

OM Homefield Advantage, Seasonals, and Grand Slam Playoffs are Type A tournaments, which means players receive full points for advancing. Opens are Type C tournaments, which means players will receive 1/3 full points (rounded up) for advancing. Team tournaments (Premier League and Champions League) are not subject to circuit points. Championship Playoffs will be a seeded single elimination tournament featuring a best of five.

The full-scale points tables will be announced soon. Here it is.

All tournaments with points on the line will take place in the Circuit subforum. Signups, updates, and standings will be announced in this thread. Best of luck to everybody!

Note: Dates for each tournament, as well as points distributed for them, are still subject to change. If you would like to give insight on this, feel free to join the OM discord and tell us!

Tournament Details​

OM Homefield Advantage

OM Homefield Advantage is a Type A, best-of-3, single-elimination tournament. Participants sign up with a "homefield" metagame of their choice. The first game of each match is a randomized metagame of neither player's homefield, and subsequent games are played in the prior game's loser's homefield metagame.

OM Grand Slam

OM Grand Slam is a two-stage tournament. Stage 1 consists of the Almost Any Ability, Balanced Hackmons, Godly Gift, Mix and Mega, and STABmons Opens. Opens are Type C, best-of-3, single-elimination tournaments where participants earn points in an attempt to qualify for the second stage; however, only each participant's best three finishes count towards qualifying. The 8 players with the most points at the end of all of these tournaments compete in the second stage, which is a Type A, seeded single-elimination tournament.

Both the Opens themselves and the Grand Slam Playoffs will count towards qualifying for the Circuit Championships.

Seasonals

Seasonals are Type A, best-of-3, double-elimination tournaments. There are five seasonals, one for each of the main tournament metagames. Seasonals are Type A despite being single-OM tournaments because they're the most reflective of each metagame's playerbase before the Circuit Championships.
