Basically, this will be a single elimination, Pound-For-Pound style Ubers tournament in which everyone will play the five generations. From round one until the finals matchup: everyone will play a best of 1. The finals will consist of a best of 5 showdown in all tiers.

BW, DPP, ADV, and GSC are pretty much set in stone. The poll was that NetBattle Supremacy is the simulator to use for RBY Ubers.
NBS is known to have issues with Macs, so it is mandatory to test it out. This is a NBS download link. A server that is usually up is: atq.zapto.org NetBattle Supremacy will be the default for RBY.

Just a reminder on some mechanics in RBY Cartridge:

Hyper Beam instantly recharges if it KOes a Pokemon, allowing the user to attack the next turn.
Focus Energy does not raise Critical hit ratios.
Substitute doesn't really prevent Status.


Mandatory Literature Homework:

BW Ubers

• Species Clause: A player cannot have two of the same pokémon on their team. For example, a player cannot have two Koffing on his or her team.
• Sleep Clause: A player cannot put two or more different opposing Pokémon to sleep using attacks that induce sleep to opposing pokémon.
• Evasion Clause: A player cannot increase their Pokémon's evasion stat with a move that specifically increases evasion. Items or indirect boosts do not break this clause.
