________________________

Churi is a Sassy guy whose mother died in a wizards chess and has early age issues. He suffers from ADD and OCD, always arranges things around him but lives carelessly when with friends, exhibiting dual characteristics. He also has a big ego and lives with a lot of pride.

[Nature]
Sassy (+1 Sp. Defense, Speed ÷ 1.15, -10 Evasion)

[Type]
Steel | Dark

Steel STAB; immune to Sandstorm damage, immune to Poison/Toxic status, but can be corroded specifically by Acid and Acid Spray, making them susceptible to Poison-type attacks and Poison/Toxic Status.

Dark STAB; ignores Attract and Confusion status entirely when using Dark-type damaging and non-damaging attacks.

[Abilities]
Defiant/Inner Focus

Defiant (✓)
(Passive, MoldBreaker affects - No)
The Pokemon has a deep sense of honor, and whenever one of its stats are decreased by an opponent's Attack or Ability, its Attack increases by two (2) stages. Attack Boosts gained this way are not subject to deterioration that round.

Inner Focus
(Passive, MoldBreaker affects - Yes) When an opponent attempts to flinch this Pokemon, it stands firm and continues its attack. If it has another ability that would be activated by flinching, that ability activates.

Pressure (H)
(Passive, MoldBreaker affects - No)
This Pokemon's presence fills the air with intense anxiety, and any damaging or status attack launched at this Pokemon costs the opposing Pokemon two (2) more energy to perform.

And here I thought I'd never get to see Churi again. This Pawniard has been through so much...but has he fought a dinosaur? Let's find out!

Tyrannosaurus Rex (I'll call him T-Rex for short) gets off to a rather defensive start, forming a barrier with Protect to block Churi's moves. Churi's first move, of course, is Taunt, and, much to Churi's disappointment, no amount of threatening knife-wiggling is going to dissuade this dinosaur from doing anything.

Perhaps Churi is just sensing the shenanigans or otherwise, but he puts up a Subsitute, sacrificing part of his own life pool. Unfortunately, Substitutes don't protect against moves like Roar, which are really scary! This pint-sized carnivore is really bellowing up a storm here in this crowded arena. Even the intrepid Churi seems forced back.

In a last-ditch effort, Churi attempts to fearlessly ram himself into T-Rex with Iron Head, but the Tyrunt puts up another Protect, and the move fails entirely. With the Roar taking effect, Churi is forced back into his Pokeball, and Magesh, the Charmander, is sent out in his place.

action 1
T-Rex used Protect, -7 energy, T-rex protected itself
Churi used Taunt, -9 energy, but the move fails

T-Rex used Roar, -7 energy, Churi will be sent back to trainer

action 3

end of round

Yeah, the sub should have activated. This means that Charmander uses Dig a2 and avoids the Dragon Claw, and then faints to Toxic damage at the end of a2.

Fixed. Sorry about that, it was like 3 AM and I completely spaced. Oddly enough, the sub activating made Tyrunt take less damage than if Charmander had used Iron Tail.

If Tyrunt is under the effects of a p/e move, use Power up punch(ground), only once.
If Tyrunt uses dodge, use Power up punch(ground), only once.

I'm fine with you giving a Charmander an Exp. Share now. Also, Power-Up Punch only boosts the user's Attack if it successfully hits the foe, so Power-Up Punch (ground) won't boost your attack but will still cost energy.

Tyrunt used Dodge, -5 energy, reduces accuracy of incoming attacks by 20 (Base Dodge) + (41-52) (-11) -10 (-Speed Nature) = you're not dodging anything
Pawniard uses Power-Up Punch (Floor), -4 energy, +1 Atk

While precedent for this move application has been set by one other referee, that's not enough to convince me that it will work flawlessly like that. However, I can see the feasibility of pumping the Pokemon's spirits up with a Power-Up Punch to the floor. The Attack boost will apply, but only for that round. Any boosts gained by Power-Up Punch (Floor) will decay immediately, regardless of timing, as the attack has to be successful, i.e. hitting an opponent, in order for the boost to manifest correctly. That's my two cents on the matter.

action 2
Pawniard used Power-Up Punch, -8 energy, crit fails (3/16), deals 4 (BAP) + 4.5 (Atk) - 4.5 (Def) *1.5 (SE) + 2 (Boosts) = 8 damage to Tyrunt, +1 Atk
Tyrunt used Earthquake, -7 energy, crit succeeds (1/16), deals 10 (BAP) + 3 (Crit) + 4.5 (Atk) - 4.5 (Def) *1.5 (SE) = 19.5 damage to Pawniard
