Shiny Reshiram = nonexistent.
Eh? I thought it could be Shiny if you got it in Dragonspiral Tower rather than N's Castle?
This is what I mean by conflicting information all the time [pulls hair out]

I've been led to believe that the creators of Pokemon (GameFreak) have programmed the game that Zekrom/Reshiram cannot be shiny at all, sicne you encounter said Pokemon under N's control. As much as I know, I don't think there's a way to RNG abuse N's legend to become shiny at all, and since you're catching the same legend, it won't be shiny.Eh? no.I just had a hypothesis for that though. If there was some way that you could use the RNG abuse to make the legend under N's control shiny, then wouldn't that make the legend you encounter shiny when you catch it?

Also does anyone know if you can save right in front of Reshiram in N's Castle and leave to visit a pokemon center etc if need be - if I didn't want to catch him just yet and wanted to try and fill out my PC boxes for instance!
How does frames work for a stationary Pokemon like Kyurem? Since there's wild pokes in the cave, does my frames advance me in anyway?
That's the way I learned to do it in HG/SS. I personally found it okay. After you had done the initial calibration you can always input the same values then. I often found on pikatimer I would always need to adjust by about +20 to +30 to hit my target seed in that game. I kept doing it as I got regular results. Managed to RNG every legendary in that game as well as a prize corner proygon and a fossil aerodactyl and a shiny super rodded shellder. Never tried any egg RNG-ing though.
How do we use c-gear to breed? How do we get a seed to use for breeding on Gen 5 for c-gear?

I had read that it can't be shiny and you have to catch it UNLESS you have a full party and full PC boxes when you face it. In which case you defeat it and it goes to Dragonspiral Tower. Whereat you can face it with a chance of it being shiny...

Walking around in an area with wild Pokemon will advance the PIDRNG (but not the IVRNG) by one every step you take. Nothing to be concerned about unless you're RNGing shinies, just bring a Synchronizer.
So it's the same as RNGing a Reshiram and all you need is a synch?
Yes.
Well, 4th gen games were lucky in that a) they had some good spreads on seeds with low delays and b) they had easy ways of advancing the frame quickly so you could hit high frames. You're probably going to find 5th gen RNGing with the C-Gear a lot less fun if, by button-mashing, you limit yourself to seeds with the desired IVs on high frames.
Misinformation by Serebii (Kaphotics proved him otherwise). He's since retracted that info.

Make 128 steps, that'll advance your frame with 1.
My question: I've got 5 Pokémon in my party, and my spread is on frame 6. Now what? Do I need to get 2 to the box so I have only 3, so when I make 128 steps I'm at frame 6?
Yes.
Thank you very much!
Yes.
Yes, apparently unlike Gen 4 talking to the stationary Pokemon does not advance any frame.
In Gen 4, you had to be 1 frame behind before talking to the daycare / stationary Pokemon. In Gen 5, you have to be right on the target frame.
You'll have to try to hit your seed again, and catch Reshiram without doing any advancements to check your seed. So, I turned the C-Gear on when the second timer ran out, made 128 steps and then caught Reshiram. Now I've checked it's IV's, but they cannot be found in a range of +/- 200. What am I doing wrong?

It would help if you posted info like IVs you were expecting, IVs you got, what seed, frame, time and delay you're going for, etc. Also the time you turn on the game and the time you start the C-Gear.]
