5th Gen PRNG Help / Info - Latest: RNG Reporter 9.96.5, PPRNG 1.15.0

I'm confused...if the initial frame for a C-Gear seed is 3, what does it mean when the starting frame of a stationary legendary is 1? What does this mean regarding frame advancement?

I'm trying to catch Reshiram and Zekrom by the way.

Okay, an easier question this time:

The delay flips randomly between odd and even, yes? If this is in fact true, I'm good to go.

You'll be on frame 3 if you C-Gear abuse.

Ok cool. So...if the frame I want is frame 46, I only need to advance to frame 43, correct?

Secondly, I've heard that there are certain delays that can't be reached, like anything below 1500. Is that true? Plus, I plan on using ZOMG timer, so is it safe to assume that calibrated delay and calibrated second change too...if so, what should be the values for both?

Yes, 43 advancements. Once you turn on your c-gear, your delay will be around 1,400+ and above. So, you can't hit anything below that if you're doing c-gear abuse.

Ok, maybe I'm just an idiot and missed something on the first page, but how does breeding work this generation? Does the whole C-gear IV generation work for eggs as well, and if so when do I need to do my RNG'ing to get the desired IVs in the baby (if I understand correctly, the IVs would start on frame 11, 8 + 3)? Also, since we can't control natures ATM, do I have to keep resetting/hitting my delay until I get the nature I want? Any and all help is appreciated =)

It's not at all like 4th gen where you would first RNG abuse the nature then the IVs. They are both set at the exact same time: when you pick up the egg from the Daycare Man. So basically you'll ride around until the parents have an egg, save, then hit your seed.

As for frame advancements, don't do too much thinking. For the number of frame advancements for C-Gear breeding, take your target frame - 10. However, 3 IVs will always be inherited, which is controlled by the PID RNG. Unfortunately the PID RNG is constantly being advanced my NPCs on the route. So basically, you'll need your parents to have the IVs you want the egg to have, and the mother having the same nature and holding an Everstone.

Edit: In case you were wondering, you just use a regular C-Gear seed. There's no special breeding seeds. Just find a seed with a frame 10 or above that has the IVs you want.

How do you advance the frame? I know I should hit a frame of 3 but I was thinking of having the Pokemon (Vanillite) have a Atk IV of zero for confusion damage.

So basically, you'll need your parents to have the IVs you want the egg to have, and one of the parents having the same nature and holding an Everstone.
Corrected for you. Everstone nature breeding works with both parents in Gen 5, as it does in HeartGold and SoulSilver.

Is Calibration the same thing in this game as it was in the fourth generation?
Yes and no... Yes in the sense that if you have a 0 adjustment when trying to hit delays then you're really lucky and should probably buy a lottery ticket. However, it's different in the sense that you "calibrate" by trial and error. You calibrate by trying to hit your target seed, rather than it being how long it takes you to get in game.

Oh, I did not know that :P Ok, I think I'll just wait :D

Edit: With C-Gear Seeds, is the nature and ability not able to be controlled (Outside of a Synchronizer for the nature)? And, if we do need a syncher, will the synchronizer always work (I've never used a synchronizer before, not even in Gen. IV, so :P), or do I have to hope to get lucky? :/

Posted a few pages back, still no answer to the edit :]

No, because the C-Gear being on has passive frame advancement depending on how long you have it on. (~1.7 seconds / frame adv).

Sync still has a 50% chance of working.

Ok, thanks :]

Also, I know that when the second timer of a two stage delay timer ends, you should press A to turn on your C-Gear (In-Game). Please correct that if I'm wrong. But, when do you press A for the first timer?
