5th Gen PRNG Help / Info - Latest: RNG Reporter 9.96.5, PPRNG 1.15.0

The thread was locked earlier around release because people wanted to RNG without progressing through the game first. So no RNGing your starters right now, that's a non-C-Gear related RNG.

To hit a non-C-Gear seed, you must have the correct date/time when soft/hard resetting the game, not at the continue menu.

The next version of RNG Reporter will be out when it comes out, and will most likely include many new features.

Or do i have to do it manually and catch a poke and record its ivs and the time i caught it

Can you read at all? Five people already told you to drop the non-cgear argument already. You won't be able to RNG non-cgear stuff on non-japanese games until the newer version of RNG Reporter is out.

Then, if you search this thread, you can find the parameters for DeSmuME, or you could just search for them on RNG Reporter Beta 2. Anyway, asking questions about non-CGear abuse is not encouraged until the OP of this thread says so.

Yes. Just not without C-Gear for the time being.
2: do you have to use action replay to c-gear RNG?
No. You just have to be able to check your IVs.
3: RNGing the volcarona is like RNGing a stationary legendary correct?
I believe so. If it's a standing encounter, it doesn't matter whether it's a legend or not.

1.) Yes, it's possible, but only with C-Gear seeds. Once the newest RNG Reporter is released, we'll most likely be able to do Non C-Gear Seeds.

2.) You don't have to, but you need a way to verify IVs so you can calibrate

3.) Yes, it is :] If it's the one in the Relic Castle, then yes.

Depends how you did it in 4th gen. Basically you just start with a default calibration, try to hit a seed, and find the delay you hit. Update the timer with that delay and it should be there in a just s few tries. 4th gen could be calibrated this same way and it would've been easier but the guides didn't get updated.

I just got a Rash quintflawless Cobalion, but I wanted a Jolly one. Did exactly the same frame advancements, but I ended up with this IV spread:

3 / 14 / 9 / 9 - 10 / 14 / 22 Jolly

My seed: 5f7c02f5 Time: 09:53:00 Delay: 7401

With a delay range of +/- 9999 and second range of +/- 5, I couldn't find it anywhere! What did I do wrong?

I still need some help with this. :( I just can't seem to hit anything in that range!

1. Using IVs to verify your seed only works before doing more than two frame advancements.

2. If you're starting the C-Gear at the Continue screen and not in-game you could be as much as 7 or 8 seconds off, which would be outside of the range you're searching. Try increasing your seconds to +/-10.

Whats the best way to find my DS Parametres? I dont have an AR So i can't check my sweet scented pokemons exact iv's. Everytime i use an iv calculator. I use them but never seem to get any results when i search on rng reporter 9 ds parametre window

Yes. I need more research on it, but EonTimer does well with dream world. Natures there aren't controllable at all.
To the gligar, I don't know.

See below. Until RNGReporter b3 comes out, there's no non-cgear for non-Japanese games.

Only non C-Gear seeds are affected. Don't worry about it until the next RNG Reporter release.

2. I'm starting the C-Gear ingame, when the second timer runs out. :) Already got 3 Reshirams (2 wrong ones) and 1 Cobalion (which was wrong too), so I know how that works ^_^

Obtain your C-Gear seed from RNG Reporter. Press Seed to Time and find a time to hit for your C-Gear seed with your given MAC Address.
Start a two stage delay timer to hit your delay and time.
Start the game at the time that will give you the correct seconds\delay when the timer ends.

First off, I don't see no timer on this thing. Secondary do you input a seed hex numbers into the time finder before hitting generate?

The timer is a separate program (see my sig).
In the time finder, there is no hex except the MAC address.

Preeeety much. Although, if you keep missing it over and over again, at some point you might want to catch Cobalion without any frame advancements and check what you hit, in case you end up needing to calibrate your timer a bit more.

If I'm understanding your question right, yes. If you already hit it, you should be calibrated. Now it's just a matter of hitting it again.
