5th Gen PRNG Help / Info - Latest: RNG Reporter 9.96.5, PPRNG 1.15.0

Hello everyone,
thanks to the guide I was able to RNG Kyurem, Victini, Sweet Scent Pokémon etc.
But I'm not able to RNG Tornadus/Thundurus.
Can someone please explain when exactly the IV's are generated or how to RNG them?
Using C-Gear.
Thanks

Using an AR with Eontimer is do-able, as I am proof, but it can cause errors, delay errors.
I don't know if the delay in BW are just odd or even or a mix but if you use a AR, you will hit a mix of delays.

But to your question, yes you will have to compensate SR by pressing A at a certain time.

What I mean
As you know, you cannot SR an AR and still have the code function, so you cannot SR, instead you will have to experiment with pressing A to exit the AR and load the game at a certain time to compensate for SR.

My advice, you should press A ~1.5(absolute minimum)-2.5
I usually "press start the game with code" around 2.0 and I am usually -+5 of delay, but usually +-1.

You will need to be patient doing this

Edit:

To add with johto (Who ninja's me X.X) just said, you can exit the AR when the 1st timer hit zero, but I pretty sure you be off by some amount, should be lower.

If you do it the way I do, you should be either a little high or low

I hit my delay pretty easily, and I pressed A when the timer told me to. Idk if I got lucky with that, though. But I used to press A 1 second before the timer told me to in Gen. IV, so that could also work this gen.

I mean finding my parameters, so I don't have to find my parameters for CGEAR?
But when I try to search it makes me type in my parameters.

Nope, you don't have to find Parameters. Like Tyons said, make sure you choose Method 5 (C-Gear). Don't fill out anything it the parameters section, make sure you have your MAC address, and fill in the IVs you want, then press generate. Oh, and make sure the min. Delay is at least 1500 and the min. frame is 3.

Alright, assume I was to RNG a Reshiram using the cgear. How would I check if I hit my seed once I caught it? I'd be in battle against N right, wouldn't I? I just want to make sure I don't mess up anything before I actually try.

Edit: I'd also like to know what to fill in on the calibration section of the EonTimer.

You have to lose to N on purpose and then check its IVs.

Well, it's preferred if you have a load of Rare Candies. Then, when your second timer runs out, turn on the c-gear and talk to Reshiram right away. Capture it in a Master Ball, then lose against N, so you can check the nature as well. Then give it as much Rare Candies until the IV checker gives a spread So x / x / x / x / x / x and not x-x / x-x / x-x / x-x / x-x / x-x. Put the IV's in the IV checker in the Seed to Time section, and then you can find which delay you've hit.

Edit: Ninja'd. :(

Also, just leave that -95. You can work with that in the beginning. After you've found which delay you've hit, you can put that in the Delay Hit box in EonTimer. :)

Alright, thanks a lot :D
But would I HAVE to use Rare Candies? Can I just use AR?

When the RNG Reporter 9 beta 3 comes out, will there be a Mac version? I tried opening the current one with WineBottler, but I can't get it to work.

That's the plan but I don't know if it'll be the same.

It's a risk you take when you buy a crappy computer.

Hey guys i know my question doesn't directly relate to the rules posted on the first page but im just looking for advice. I learnt how to RNG shinyness and nature in 4th Gen but didnt want to get into ivs as pokemon BW were coming out and i thought i might aswel learn on them. However looking on the first page it looks alot more complex than 4th gen ivs so do you guys think i should learn on 4th Gen first then try 5th gen? or should i just start straight from 5th Gen?

If you've done at least some kind of 4th gen RNG, you should be fine. IVs are the same thing there and don't directly translate over to 5th gen anyway.

Hey I have a small question. I'm trying to learn how to RNG in my White using this guide. However, on the Seed to Times Finder on RNG Reporter, there's a column labeled "C-Gear Seed Displayed", which isn't mentioned in the guide. Can somebody please explain what this means to me? Thanks in advance

so im assuming just like in 4th gen i have to do a bit of calibration to determine my target time and averge delay?

The cgear seed is encrypted and I believe this is the seed shown through use of some sort of hacking device. Don't ask about that part here.

@Marlinz:
No. That stuff can go die.

Hi there.

I have 0 experience with wild pokemon CPs (Well, I do, but only with pokemon who appear 100% of the time), so I just would like to know how Encounter Slots work. I have the link to them, and I saw numbers next to the pokemon in parenthesis. Example: In the row for Desert Resort, it says "Sandile (19". Does that mean that on frame 19, a Sandile will appear?

Here is the encounter slot table I'm looking at. Thanks in advance.

Okay, so I'm RNG'ing. I hit my C-Gear seed just fine, checked using the IVMTRNG code.
I turn the C-Gear off, than I do my 14 IV frame advancements. Once I finished withdrawing 2 Pokes, I run outside holding left to turn to the daycare man. I than check my Seed 1 and 2 for PIDRNG. I put it in, I find where I'm at. I let the NPC's advance to the PID I want.

When I picked the egg up, everything is right, but the nature. It says the Everstone should have worked. I have an everstone on both parents as Power Items mess up the PID in my experience. Both parents are Jolly and it gives me Bold. What is going on? This is the 6th time it's happened for different PID's.

Have all these tries been with an everstone on both? That may mess something up since even though they're the same nature, it might be something weird if it has 2 everstones to choose from.

@Princess of Johto
Those numbers are encounter slot values. Each encounter slot (0-11) contains a range of encounter slot values. The slots themselves determine which pokemon you will encounter in a specific place. The sandile you mention will appear if the seed determines the ESV (encounter slot value) to be 19 (Slot 0).
