5th Gen PRNG Help / Info - Latest: RNG Reporter 9.96.5, PPRNG 1.15.0

Great, hit my seed the 2nd try during calibration, taking 384 steps to advance frame to 18 (15 frames advanced), and apparently I haven't hit it again since last night.

so, i was intrigued by this whole rng business. i've read that it works for the dsi but how should i adjust the settings/timers/etc accordingly? thanks

At least you haven't hit it 3 times only to get the wrong nature every time like I did with Thundurus...

Has anyone else been having trouble with the beeps on EonTimer occasionally stuttering? Needless to say, it throws me off when it happens.

To clarify with the egg ivs, If I have my flawless Ditto, and the right natured pokemon with an everstone, then I'll get a flawless version of what I'm trying to breed, with a 50/50 chance of getting the right nature.

Well, if there's any IVs you don't care about (SpA on Axew, for example), then you don't have to worry about those. Also, if you have several 31s, you can just keep trying until the PIDRNG passes them down.

Ok so i've done some calibration and my delay range usually falls at 1260-1271. In the Time finder, do i have to reflect this change? Do i change the delay range where it says Min delay - Max Delay? I don't understand how me adjusting the timer on Zomgtimer will get my my IV spread if my usual delay is 1261 and the delay where my target iv spread is at 368 or something.

To clarify, the Pokemon that should have the everstone is the Ditto. If you don't have a Ditto then it should go on the female.

To get flawless Pokemon you need a pretty good seed and if you don't have a seed that has all or close to all 31/30 IV's then you may need to breed quite a few times before you find the right PID inheritance frame.

I remember back when all I needed was my flawless ditto, and the right seed/frame.

Really, you are going to complain about this?

yeah change the delay range to better suit you. i believe the minimum delay in B/W is 1000 or so.

EDIT:
So if I'm trying to hit a spread on a frame of 26 I can't verify that I hit my delay by searching Iv's?

what i usually do is imput the iv's into the timefinder (or a general area like >= equal to or greater than) with the target frame as a maximum frame and put an initial +10,-10 value for my delay. then increase accordingly until i find it. hope that helps.

Well, you could always go back to breeding the way Nintendo intended everyone to breed: down to luck.
Breed, hatch 1000 eggs until you get that hex-flawless pokemon.

Ok Thanks man. I had another question; what constitutes as steps in the game? Does staying in one spot and turning around without moving count as a step? or do i have to see my sprite move one tile block away?

Just saying, I gotta figure it out again. Wasn't a complaint.

So I'm clear this time, it's the flawless ditto w/ power item, parent of the right nature w/ everstone, then it's down to RNG and luck?

I'm retracking my RNG attempt to capture Zekrom,I need to make sure of something in the calibration process,I catch zekrom and input his IVs in the Seed to time,And update my Delay Hit in the EonTimer,Till i delay of my seed?Or till the Calibration diffrence between each update is 1?

Would like to know, is it possible to RNG for shininess already (with C-Gear abuse more precisely) ? Shininess has to do with PID so, PID being the most unstable thing in 5th Gen, this is probably difficult.

If that's possible, what would be the "must have" to begin with ? Thanks.

It's really just to your judgement.

If you're close (~5), leave it.
If you're consistently hitting off in a certain direction, update.

That's really it.

No asking about things that require non C-Gear seeds. This includes RNGing for shinies, as well as your starter Pokemon. This also includes asking about DS Parameters.
