5th Gen PRNG Help / Info - Latest: RNG Reporter 9.96.5, PPRNG 1.15.0

If you go into your bag, does that change the frame.

I'm trying to get a litwick. The frame is 2(only IV's). I have 1 pokemon in my party

Steps I did.
1) Bag use repel
2) Walk 100 steps
3)Bag used second repel
4)walked 28 steps
5) sweet scented

If anyone could help me I'd appreciate it I also need it to be timid. But I was waiting till I figured out what I was doing wrong

nothing. its like nothing happens. no correct ivs, pokemon or anything. the timing is right.. but apparently its just not working. is it a dslite thing?

if anyone has actually used A keypresses, let me know what you actually do. because it sucks.

all other seeds ive used today without keypress A has worked..

You said in a previous post that you were holding the buttons before starting the game. You're supposed to press and hold the buttons immediately after pressing A at the clock screen. Basically press A to start up game, let go of A, press A again and hold it. Same goes for any other keypress. You don't hold them before pressing A to start up the game.

What you need to do is. Start the game by pressing A or tapping the touch screen. As soon as you press A/tap and let go. Press all the buttons you need together until you see the star part of the beginning movie, than you let go and enter the game as normal.
 
Has anyone RNGed the egg from the event? I imagine it would count as a Wondercard. So basically save in front of the guy and try hitting your seed, then hatch and check?

I noticed you said you're aiming for a litwick but you're also walking. There are NPCs in the Celestial tower. They will advance the PIDRNG which will make it difficult to get the correct PID frame for a litwick. The top floor of the celestial tower has no NPCs.

More than likely your timer0 fluctuated, try it again and if does it multiple times, use the other timer0 or a different seed.
 
Upside downhitmontop. You told me very important information that I did not know, Thank You.

But, I still can't get it to work. I'm hoping someone can get the one I need, and then I just trade it. VGC is gonna be really hard for me.

I'm gonna try a different pokemon, hopefully that will work.

What can't you get to work? The IVs or the PID? If it's the IVs, right click the seed in the time finder and generate adjacent seeds on current frame. Look for the wrong IVs you're getting. That will tell if it's a timer0/keypress/bad timing issue.
If it's the PID, copy the seed and paste it in the main window of RNG reporter where it says seed (hex). Choose method 5 PIDRNG, the encounter type and sync nature if applicable. generate your list of PIDs. Calculate intial PID frame and then find a PID frame that you want to advance to. Viewing Chatot's summary (with a recorded chatter)/saving advances the PIDRNG by 1. Also walking/turning in areas with wild Pokemon advances the PIDRNG by 2 per step/turn so if you're going to do 128 steps you can't aim for anything lower than 300 (256+your starting frame).

I'm still working on the IV's. As far as the natures, I was going to use munna and synchronize them. I'll try what your saying when I wake up in the morning. Thanks your giving me alot of useful information that I didn't know, I appreciate it.
 
First timer, trying to find out my seed but

I had everything correct, but pressing search brings up the progress bar, and then nothing happens when the progress bar finishes its check
 
Did you use AR or something to check the IVs? I thought some post stated that could not be used.
Besides that you can try to widen the second range of MIN to 23 since RNG Reporter now won't look at the seconds before.
Also, it's helpfull if you would've stated a little more details about what you're doing exactly.
 
Question about if a seed changes:

I'm currently RNGing a Jolly Tornadus.
My target seed: 40FD4A89AE66DE88
My TID/SID: 21204/18558

EDIT: So just to clarify, the seed doesn't change, even after the IVs are generated for the first Pokemon I encounter... Meaning, as long as I hit my desired seed, any and every wild Pokemon I run into after the fact will all have the same IVs?

Not really. If you take even 1 step the IV frame could change. Look between 550-750 for your starting PID frame if there is no prior weather before the roamer arrives. If it's raining before the roamer arrives (which you shouldn't do) look between 1500-1900 and snow is somewhere in between rain/no weather but I haven't tested it.

Your best bet is to use nature/characteristic (PID%6) to find your starting frame.
 
Hello can I please get someone to walk me through how to get a flawless shiny starter in SS. I am a complete RNG noob BTW. If you can spare the time it will be greatly appreciated

VCount 50 to 80.
Timer0 C60 to C8A
Vframe 0 to F

Also are you using an emulator or a cart?
