5th Gen PRNG Help / Info - Latest: RNG Reporter 9.96.5, PPRNG 1.15.0

For some reason my IVRNG frame won't advance. Yet again, I'm Entralink RNGing (still no success), and when I walk 128 steps on Route 9, then catch a Pokémon in Entree Forest, I still end up on frame 21. :/

Have you tried to do your walking in the Entralink? That's what I do... I just drop a repel before I warp to the Entralink and then do my steps in there.

Since the IVRNG reseeds when you go to the Entralink, I would assume it also returns to the starting frame. Try what Mac suggested, that should fix your problem.

Thanks! I must have been close to the 128 counter in my previous attempts, so my walking to Entree Forest would have advanced the frame, and not my walking on Route 9.

Just to confirm, starter Pokemon are of the encounter type Gift Pokemon correct? When I search in Pandora's Box for the seed 05CBFD3B8FFB248B and give it the frame 64, the correct frame with Gift Pokemon encounter type, the ID/SID combinations don't make it shiny. But, when I give it 61, the correct frame for a Wild Pokemon encounter type, I get ID/SID combinations that do work.

I think there's a minor bug on the Pandora's boxes upon examination last month.
The correct shiny frame is off by 3 frames from the one you entered.

What's the best way to keep track of seconds on a DSi? I tried to synchronize it with my PC clock by releasing the DSi's and PC's "OK" icons simultaneously, but when it came around to the next minute, the two were slightly off.

Hi all, i'm the most noob around here :D; and of course i have a problem.
I have followed the guide step by step. But when I searched for the catched Pokemon IVs in the "Seed to Times/Adjacent Finder" (Step 2a) no match were found.
What's my error?
Thanks

Are you doing C-Gear or non-C-Gear (standard)? If you're doing standard, then you shouldn't be using Seed to Time at all. Instead, just right-click on the seed in Time Finder to see adjacent seconds/Timer0s and try to match the IVs to one of those. If you're doing C-Gear, then I highly recommend learning standard first because it's much easier.

Sorry my bad. I didn't told you i'm doing C-Gear mode. I don't know how the non-C-Gear mode can help me, btw i know the basics of this mode.
Thanks for answer me.

If you're doing Entralink, you need C-Gear for that. Otherwise, standard seeds are much easier and give better results (shiny, controllable nature/ability, etc.) for absolutely everything else.

Yes, standard seeds were cracked for DSi and 3DS earlier this year. But a lot of the guides that were written before that point haven't been updated, so the confusion is understandable.

There's two main differences for doing it on a DSi (aside from entering different information in the search, obviously)

1. The DSi has a longer startup time, so you have to start the game three seconds early instead of one.
2. Since the DSi's clock doesn't have a second hand, you'll have to keep track of seconds using an external clock.

Hello everyone,

I'm currently trying to get a Shiny Calm Vulpix with 31/x/30/30/30/30 with DW ability.

Now I'm able to RNG (non-c-gear) wild and legendary pokemon, and I've been able to breed a DW eevee with flawless IV's, but I'm having more trouble with this vulpix.

My parents are not perfect, a Japanese 31/31/x/x/x/x drought female vulpix and a
31/30/30/30/30/26 male patrat with calm nature and everstone.

So I'll just note my way of working so you can tell me what I'm doing wrong.

BTW, I'm using this video as reference.

-I save in front of daycare man with egg ready.
-I open op RNG reporter, go to 5th gen time finder.
-In the 'catch' tab, I enter the IV's SpDef == 30 and Speed == 30 and hit generate. For frames I use min and max 8.
-Then I go to the 'eggs' tab, fill in all the required stuff (parent IV's, international parents, everstone nature, desired nature, DW only, shiny only) and HP == 31, Def == 30 and SpAtk == 30. For min/max advances I use 70 - 100.
-Generate results.
-I compare results from both tabs and try to find a seed that is in both, with the same target time and correct IV inheritance.
-I copy the seed to the main screen of RNG reporter and fill the required stuff in (BW breeding, IV's 31/HP/30/30/30/30, nature, DW ability) and set my starting seed.
-I substract the frame that my shiny is on from my starting frame and load up the game, trying not to make any npc's move, and listen to recorded chatot chatters.

When I hatched the egg, it did turn out to be calm and shiny, but it didn't have the DW ability and IV's were far from the desired ones.

I hope that you can help me, because I'm not at all experienced with RNG before gen 5.

You just probaply hit wrong frame/Timer0. NPCs have more likelier moved you few frames off, so you should check frames around it.

So the part about searching for a seed in both the generated results in the catch and eggs tab is correct? I'm having a hard time finding a matching seed, is there any way to do this more quickly or easily?

How does the Seed check code for B/W work?
Where does it display the seed?
Coudnt find that note ANYWHERE.
heres the code for upper bit:
