Hey guys, I'm new to Smogon, so I apologize in advance if I'm formatting this wrong/posting this in the wrong section, but I have recently gotten into IV breeding and I have successfully bred many Pokemon. Thus, I have decided to start making a team, and I've been working on the team itself for a week or so now. The Pokemon that have a * next to their name means they're already bred, by the way. I also want to keep every Pokemon on here, just alter their moveset/held items. OK, so here goes.
Togekiss @ Life Orb - Timid Nature (Serene Grace)
EVs: 176 HP, 80 SAtk, 252 Spe.
- Nasty Plot
- Air Slash
- Fire Blast/Thunder Wave
- Aura Sphere
I haven't bred this Pokemon yet, but I know that I'll need to breed with something other than Ditto so I can get the Nasty Plot on it. Dazzling Gleam reaches 120 BP with STAB, but Fire Blast provides good coverage against multiple types. I'll probably end up substituting it for Dazzling Gleam at some point.
Aegislash* (F) @ Weakness Policy - Impish Nature (Stance Change)
EVs: 4 HP, 252 Atk, 252 Def.
- Shadow Sneak
- Swords Dance
- Sacred Sword
- King’s Shield
I've bred this Pokemon. It has Sacred Sword was thrown in there in case Aegislash finds herself (how can a sword be a girl anyway?) against a Normal-type Pokemon. Swords Dance drastically boosts her attack, so after a few boosts, Sacred Sword will be very powerful against not only Normal types, but Dark types it struggles with, and Steel types, too.
Volcarona @ Leftovers - Timid Nature (Flame Body)
EVs: 252 SpA, 252 SpD, 252 Spe.
- Quiver Dance
- Fiery Dance
- Bug Buzz
- Roost
I haven't bred this Pokemon yet, so I can change its nature if needed. I originally went with Fire Blast over Fiery Dance; but Fiery Dance can raise Volcarona's Special Attack, and Quiver Dance raises its Sp. Atk, Sp. Def, and Speed. Stealth Rock is a problem for it, so I've added Roost to its moveset so it could switch into Stealth Rock, Roost, and hopefully get a few Quiver Dances in.
Dragalge* (F) @ Black Sludge - Modest Nature (Poison Point) [Hatched, In-Training]
EVs: 252 HP, 252 SpA, 4 SpD.
- Hydro Pump/Protect
- Sludge Bomb
- Thunderbolt
- Dragon Pulse
This Pokemon was already bred. It was chosen because of its unique typing - Poison makes it normal against Fairies, which would easily wall pure dragons. I'm using Hydro Pump at the moment, but I'm not sure if Protect will be necessary or not. Thunderbolt is just for general coverage against waters and flyings.
Aggron* (M) @ Aggronite - Adamant Nature (Sturdy/Filter)
EVs: 4 HP, 252 Atk, 252 Def.
- Heavy Slam
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- Thunder Wave
I know I already have Aegislash, but Mega Aggron just seemed too good. Heavy Slam, powered by the 810 monstrosity that is Mega Aggron, would be a crushing blow - to sweepers like Azumarill, for example, that'd be almost a guaranteed OHKO.
Yveltal* @ Assault Vest - Rash Nature (Dark Aura)
EVs: 32 Atk, 252 SpA, 224 Spe.
- Sucker Punch/Foul Play
- Oblivion Wing
- Focus Blast/U-turn
- Dark Pulse
This one was caught with 31 Attack, SpA, and Speed EVs. Everything else is 30, except for SpD, which is low, but not low enough for the Kiloude City judge to say so. Not sure what to go for, Focus Blast or U-turn, but I'm definitely going to be Sucker Punching some opponents.
Well, that's it. Thanks for reading this long post, and thanks even more if you reply!
