[OVERVIEW]
Absol is a great wallbreaker in the PU metagame thanks to a sky-high Attack stat, a spammable STAB option in Knock Off, and options to boost its Attack in Choice Band and Swords Dance. Access to priority in Sucker Punch, which is especially potent with Swords Dance, makes it harder to revenge kill. Its wide coverage options to hit standard Dark-type checks, like Iron Tail and Close Combat for Aromatisse and Regirock, and an extremely strong STAB Knock Off are its main draws over otherwise similar Pokemon such as Sneasel and Guzzlord. Unfortunately, Absol's poor bulk, few resistances, and weaknesses to common Fighting- and Bug-type moves in the tier leave it with little defensive utility. This means Absol struggles to get in, and due to its middling Speed tier as well as Sucker Punch being easy to work around, it often gets forced out.

[SET COMMENTS]
The fourth move of choice depends on what Absol wants to deal with. Iron Tail takes care of bulky Fairy-types such as Aromatisse and Silvally-Fairy; however, Psycho Cut lets it 2HKO Poison-types such as Weezing and Garbodor after Stealth Rock. Justified is run in order to punish Knock Offs from Pokemon such as Malamar and Scrafty; however, Super Luck means Psycho Cut will critically hit half of the time. A Jolly nature is chosen to ensure Absol can outspeed Jolly Hitmontop and Tsareena and Speed tie with Jolly Kingler if needed, but an Adamant nature hits harder. Absol has trouble getting onto the field, so slow pivots such as Vaporeon and Uxie can help with that. They also help by baiting in Absol's prey, foes such as Rotom and Palossand, making it even easier for Absol to take something down. Fighting-types such as Passimian and Toxicroak appreciate Absol's ability to weaken Poison- and Fairy-types with its coverage, making it easier for them to sweep. Absol appreciates Fighting-type checks and Pokemon that can pivot into U-turn, such as Aromatisse and Talonflame, as they can punish these Pokemon that Absol dislikes.

[SET]
name: Swords Dance
move 1: Swords Dance
move 2: Knock Off

move 4: Iron Tail / Play Rough / Close Combat
item: Life Orb / Black Glasses
ability: Justified / Super Luck

[SET COMMENTS]
Iron Tail takes out Fairy-types such as Aromatisse, while Close Combat takes care of Rock-types such as Regirock and Dark-types such as Scrafty. Play Rough can be used as a middle ground to hit both Dark- and Fighting-types, such as Guzzlord and Passimian, on a switch-in while hitting Fairy-types harder than Close Combat, but lacks it the higher power of Iron Tail or Close Combat. Life Orb is preferred, but Black Glasses gives better longevity and the ability to bluff a Choice Band set. Justified is run to punish Knock Offs from Pokemon like Alolan Sandslash and Mesprit. However, Super Luck, when used with Psycho Cut, results in a critical hit half of the time. Sticky Webs support is heavily appreciated due to Absol's middling Speed tier, so setters like Ribombee and Vikavolt are great partners for it. Vikavolt also breaks through physical walls such as Regirock. On bulkier teams, slow pivots such as Lanturn can help Swords Dance Absol wallbreak or sweep a team by slowly wearing down its checks whilst providing setup opportunities. Spikes setters such as Garbodor also help Swords Dance Absol by moving many faster threats into the range of a boosted Sucker Punch, like Virizion. Offensive sweepers such as Quiver Dance Ribombee appreciate Absol's wallbreaking, as it makes it easier for them to clean late-game.

Absol is a great wallbreaker in the PU metagame, thanks in part to a sky high Attack stat, a consistently powerful and spammable STAB option in Knock Off, and Swords Dance to bolster its Attack. Access to Sucker Punch forces options and lets it revenge kill faster Pokemon such as Braviary and Archeops. Most importantly, its wide coverage options to hit standard Dark-type checks are the main draw over otherwise similar Pokemon such as Sneasel or Guzzlord. (i'd mainly say that it's bc it hits stupidly hard and has an extremely strong prio) Psycho Cut hits Poison-types such as Weezing hard, Iron Tail removes Fairy-types like Aromatisse, and Close Combat takes care of bulky Rock-types like Regirock. (just say that its movepool allows it to beat common dark resists like x and y)(also weezing isnt a switchin, band koff does a ton) Unfortunately, Absol's poor bulk and typing leave it with little defensive utility due to one immunity, one resistance, and weaknesses to common Fighting- and Bug-type moves in the tier. This means Absol struggles get in, and due to its middling Speed tier as well as Sucker Punch being easy to work around, it often gets forced out. Nonetheless, when Absol hits the field, it's sure to cause a disaster. (these sentences usually dont add much to analyses)

Absol's coverage options and high Attack stat allows it to function as a great user of Choice Band. The 4th fourth move of choice depends on what Absol wants to deal with. Psycho Cut lets it 2HKO Poison-types such as Weezing and Garbodor after Stealth Rock, (koff already 2hkoes garbodor, n weezing also takes a ton. i rlly think iron tail is better, however psycho cut still has some uses so keep it slashed, just not first) however Iron Tail takes care of bulky Fairy-types such as Aromatisse and Silvally-Fairy. Super Luck increases its critical hit chance and is the most consistent ability in Absol's pool. A Jolly nature is chosen to ensure it can outspeed threats such as Hitmontop and Tsareena (this one is p big, u cant hit it with prio bc of its ability) as well as speed tie with Jolly Kingler if needed. Absol has trouble getting onto to the field, so slow pivots such as Vaporeon and Uxie can help with that. (they can also switch into mons that threaten absol out) They also help by baiting in Absol's prey such as Palossand and Rotom, making it even easier for Absol to take something down. Fighting-types such as Passimian and Toxicroak appreciate Absol's ability to lure Poison- and Fairy-types with its coverage, (feel like "weaken" would be more appropriate here) as well as forcing out Ghost- and Psychic-types such as Froslass and Xatu, making it easier for them to sweep.

[SET]
name: Swords Dance
move 1: Swords Dance / Psycho Cut the set is called sd for a reason
move 2: Knock Off

item: Life Orb / Black Glasses
ability: Super Luck
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Sword Dance boosts Absol's attacking prowess to insane levels, making it hard to wall when already combined with its solid coverage. If this is undesired, Absol can remove it for a coverage option and turn into an all-out attacker. (explain what play rough does) Close Combat completes the great Dark/Fighting combo, hitting most of the tier for at least neutral damage, while Psycho Cut takes down Weezing at +2. (feel like mentioning what cc does is useless when u already do that in the previous set) Life Orb is preferred due to a solid boost to all of Absol's attacks; however, Black Glasses' main niche is better longevity without the Life Orb recoil and the ability to bluff a Choice Band set, which is especially useful on variants that forgo Swords Dance. Webs support is heavily appreciated due to Absol's middling Speed tier, and as such, Ribombee and Galvantula Vikavolt (it's better at taking advantage of stuff absol struggles against) are great partners to it. They also break through physical walls such as Regirock and Sandaconda with their special attacks. (u dont struggle against sanda much) On bulkier teams, slow pivots such as Vaporeon Lanturn and a strong defensive backbone with bulky walls such as Gigalith can help Sword Dance Absol break or sweep a team by slowly wearing down its checks. (the issue is that this set is often just ran on offensive teams; spikes setters are extremely useful btw, they put a lof of stuff into +2 sucker range)

[OVERVIEW]
Absol is a great wallbreaker in the PU metagame, thanks in part to a sky high Attack stat, a consistently powerful knock off is one of the few strong moves that is not actually consistently powerful. just calling it spammable is plenty and spammable STAB option in Knock Off, and Swords Dance to bolster its Attack. Access to Sucker Punch lets it revenge kill faster Pokemon such as Braviary and Archeops this is not a big enough deal or surprising to any reader to be worth giving its own sentence, more useful to mention in conjunction with SD to make the set harder to revenge. Most importantly, its wide coverage options to hit standard Dark-type checks and an extremely strong STAB Knock Off are the main draw over otherwise similar Pokemon such as Sneasel or Guzzlord, with options such as Iron Tail and Close Combat to hit common Dark-type switchins like Aromatisse and Regirock guzz and Sneasel have strong knocks and good coverage too, I dont think this quite emphasizes the raw power Absol wields in comparison which is what you should be hitting. they have strong knocks and good coverage Absol has a ludicrous knock and CC is downright stupid. Unfortunately, Absol's poor bulk and typing leave it with little defensive utility due to one immunity, one resistance, and weaknesses to common Fighting- and Bug-type moves in the tier. This means Absol struggles get in, and due to its middling Speed tier as well as Sucker Punch being easy to work around, it often gets forced out.

[SET COMMENTS]
Absol's coverage options and high Attack stat allows it to function as a great user of Choice Band this sentence is wholly unnecessary. The fourth move of choice depends on what Absol wants to deal with. Iron Tail takes care of bulky Fairy-types such as Aromatisse and Silvally-Fairy; however, Psycho Cut lets it 2HKO Poison-types such as Weezing and Garbodor after Stealth Rock if their item has been removed. A Jolly nature is chosen to ensure it can outspeed up to fully invested jolly, just say jolly base 70s instead of saying base 70s just say the Pokemon you mean, mentioning specific base speed numbers is a no-no such as Hitmontop and Tsareena and to speed tie with Jolly Kingler if needed, but an Adamant nature hits harder at the cost of being unable to outspeed fully invested again jolly base 65s again just give examples of the mons not the number such as Centiskorch and alolaslash which is much more likely to be jolly max. Absol has trouble getting onto the field, so slow pivots such as Vaporeon and Uxie can help with that, as well as switch into Pokemon that force Absol out they dont really do that though, they pivot for Absol but are not good defensive partners at all. They also help by baiting in Absol's prey such as Palossand and Rotom you need this in reverse order bc right now it reads like Vaporeon baits Palossand instead of rotom, making it even easier for Absol to take something down. Fighting-types such as Passimian and Toxicroak appreciate Absol's ability to weaken Poison- and Fairy-types with its coverage, as well as forcing out Ghost- and Psychic-types such as Froslass and Xatu, making it easier for them to sweep. mention sweepers that like the wallbreaking and actual defensive partners because Vaporeon and Uxie are not it. like, fighting checks and stuff that pivots into u-turns

Sword Dance boosts Absol's attacking prowess to insane levels, making it hard to wall when already combined with its solid coverage. Play Rough can used to hit Dark- and Fighting-types while hitting Fairy-types harder than harder than close combat? I assume that's what you mean. but also mention tail and CC again, don't assume they've read the previous set, but lacks the higher power of Iron Tail or Close Combat. Life Orb is preferred due to a solid boost to all of Absol's attacks; however, Black Glasses' main niche is better longevity without the Life Orb recoil and the ability to bluff a Choice Band set. Webs Sticky Webs, don't abbreviate in analyses support is heavily appreciated due to Absol's middling Speed tier, and as such, Ribombee and Vikavolt are great partners to it correct info but not a great way to write this sentence, it just sounds weird. They also break through physical walls such as Regirock with their special attacks not really?? well vikavolt sure but not webs ribombee. feels like Vaporeon and Uxie again where you're reaching too hard to give these teammates multiple different benefits when you could be mentioning like anything else as a partner that chips Regirock. On bulkier teams, slow pivots such as Lanturn and a strong defensive backbone with bulky walls such as Gigalith can help Sword Dance Absol break or sweep a team by slowly wearing down its checks. Spikes setters such as Garbodor also help Swords Dance Absol by moving many faster threats into the range of a boosted Sucker Punch.

Implemented to the best of my ability. Super Luck is there (at least on the Choice Band set) mostly due to Psycho Cut. Because of it's high crit chance, with Super Luck it has a 50% chance to crit, meaning it completely nukes its targets even harder while having a passable damage output if Absol mispredicts.

For example:

252 Atk Choice Band Absol Psycho Cut vs. 252 HP / 212+ Def Weezing on a critical hit: 226-266 (67.6 - 79.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Black Sludge recovery
252+ Atk Choice Band Absol Psycho Cut vs. 252 HP / 212+ Def Weezing on a critical hit: 248-294 (74.2 - 88%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

252 Atk Choice Band Absol Psycho Cut vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Gigalith on a critical hit: 137-162 (36.6 - 43.3%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252+ Atk Choice Band Absol Psycho Cut vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Gigalith on a critical hit: 151-178 (40.3 - 47.5%) -- 2.3% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

Having a 1/8 of a chance to seriously chip any other switch-in isn't bad either. I've slashed Justified on both sets and put it first on the SD, but if you want me to remove it on one or both sets, I will.

Absol is a great wallbreaker in the PU metagame, thanks in part to a sky high Attack stat, a spammable STAB option in Knock Off, and Swords Dance to bolster its Attack yeah id rather rephrase this to something about being able to do SD or CB instead of giving the lesser set more prominence. Access to Sucker Punch lets it revenge kill but you dont send it out to KO a Braviary, it's really just a thing to have in the back just in case. idk sucker still has way too much prominence, I think making a brief "access to priority" mention somewhere in here is the most it needs faster Pokemon such as Braviary and Archeops, which is especially potent with Swords Dance in order to prevent revenge killing. Its wide coverage options to hit standard Dark-type checks and an extremely strong STAB Knock Off are the main draw over otherwise similar Pokemon such as Sneasel or Guzzlord, with options such as Iron Tail and Close Combat to hit common Dark-type switchins like Aromatisse and Regirock, while its Knock Off is strong enough to severely dent even resists good info but this sentence is run-on.

[SET COMMENTS] you need to explain the difference between the abilities somewhere, why you'd run one over the other
The fourth move of choice depends on what Absol wants to deal with. Iron Tail takes care of bulky Fairy-types such as Aromatisse and Silvally-Fairy; however, Psycho Cut lets it 2HKO Poison-types such as Weezing and Garbodor after Stealth Rock if their item has been removed confused about the item removal bit, both of them only run black sludge some of the time and odds are if you've knocked either then you can be 2hkoing them with knock without rocks given how strong Absol is. extra space here A Jolly nature is chosen to ensure it can outspeed Jolly Hitmontop and Tsareena and to speed tie with Jolly Kingler if needed, but an Adamant nature hits harder at the cost of being unable to outspeed Jolly Centiskorch and Alolan Sandslash eh ok on reflection this reads weird. jolly centiskorch is still not a thing and you could just use the same 3 examples instead of trying to mix it up. "jolly nature beats these things but adamant hits harder" is more straightforward. Absol has trouble getting onto the field, so slow pivots such as Vaporeon and Uxie can help with that. They also help by baiting in Absol's prey such as Palossand and Rotom you forgot to swap the order of these, it still reads like Vaporeon baits in Palossand, making it even easier for Absol to take something down. Fighting-types such as Passimian and Toxicroak appreciate Absol's ability to weaken Poison- and Fairy-types with its coverage, as well as forcing out Ghost- and Psychic-types such as Froslass and Xatu, making it easier for them to sweep the first half of this sentence is good but forcing out ghost/psychic types without hurting them doesnt make it easier for these fighting types to sweep and pass/croak are also not really sweepers. Fighting-type checks and Pokemon that can pivot into U-turn such as Aromatisse and Talonflame are appreciated by Absol so it doesn't have to take those moves. "so that it doesn't have to take those moves" is a really poor way to end a sentence, this should be a straightforward example but I have no clue why it's written like this

[SET COMMENTS] you need to explain the difference between the abilities somewhere, why you'd run one over the other
Sword Dance boosts Absol's attacking prowess to insane levels, making it hard to wall when already combined with its solid coverage tbh this sentence is unnecessary, SD is as obvious as knock or sucker. Iron Tail takes out Fairy-types such as Aromatisse, while Close Combat destroys destroys is not a good word to use in analyses. also CC hits more than just rock types and like, gigalith is not an Absol switch-in to begin with, Regirock sure but not gigalith so this makes no sense for an explanation at all Rock-types such as Gigalith. Play Rough can used to hit Dark- and Fighting-types such as blah while hitting Fairy-types harder than Close Combat, but lacks the higher power of Iron Tail or Close Combat. Life Orb is preferred due to a solid boost to all of Absol's attacks; however, Black Glasses' main niche is better longevity without the Life Orb recoil and the ability to bluff a Choice Band set. Sticky Webs support is heavily appreciated due to Absol's middling Speed tier, and because of this, Sticky Webs setters like Ribombee and Vikavolt are great partners for it. Vikavolt also break through physical walls such as Regirock with its special attacks. On bulkier teams, slow pivots such as Lanturn and a strong defensive backbone with bulky walls such as Gigalith can help Sword Dance Absol break or sweep a team by slowly wearing down its checks. Absol is a great wallbreaker in the PU metagame, thanks in part to a sky high Attack stat, a spammable STAB option in Knock Off, and this is just grammatically weird, it doesnt, like, "have" choice band as a unique attribute both Choice Band and Swords Dance to bolster its Attack. Access to priority in Sucker Punch makes it harder to revenge kill, which is especially potent with Swords Dance. Its wide coverage options to hit standard Dark-type checks and an extremely strong STAB Knock Off are the main draw over otherwise similar Pokemon such as Sneasel or Guzzlord, with options such as Iron Tail and Close Combat to hit common Dark-type switchins like Aromatisse and Regirock. Its Knock Off is strong enough to severely dent most neutral targets such as Gigalith why does this sentence (assuming comma and not period is an accident) exist? it doesn't say anything new, just delete, Unfortunately, Absol's poor bulk and typing leave it with little defensive utility due to one immunity, one resistance, and weaknesses to common Fighting- and Bug-type moves in the tier. Justified is run in order to punish weak Knock Offs from Pokemon such as Whimsicott not a good example for obvious reasons, it doesnt even have to be weaker knocks necessarily it's also useful if you're predicting, say, scrafty to knock instead of drain. but dont just stick that in word for word please; however, Super Luck in conjunction with Psycho Cut means it will critical hit half of the time, improving its damage output against foes writing this in the same exact way both paragraphs is just repetitive and bad, typically if you have to repeat info you at least try for some variety. Sticky Webs support is heavily appreciated due to Absol's middling Speed tier, and because of this, Sticky Webs setters like Ribombee and Vikavolt are great partners for it. Vikavolt also break through physical walls such as Regirock with its special attacks an example of a correct and good piece of info written really badly, "breaks through physical walls with special attacks" is just very basic. On bulkier teams, slow pivots such as Lanturn and a strong defensive backbone with bulky walls such as Gigalith can help Swords Dance Absol break or sweep a team by slowly wearing down its checks ??? no, slow pivots bring Absol in safely and bulky walls take on its checks. they dont wear down teams, you named 2 very weak mons. surprised I missed this. plus gigalith isnt even a notable defensive partner, it loses to the most common things that check Absol. very confused by what you were going for here, I can't even tell what it should have been. a brief slow pivot mention is good and then I dont know what to do with the gigalith bit. Spikes setters such as Garbodor also help Swords Dance Absol by moving many faster threats into the range of a boosted Sucker Punch such as?. Offensive cleaners just say "Sweepers", idk what "offensive cleaner" is. there aren't defensive cleaners really such as Quiver Dance Ribombee appreciate Absol's wallbreakers ing?, as it makes it easier for them to clean lategame.

Justified is run in order to punish Knock Offs from Pokemon such as Malamar and Scrafty; however, Super Luck in conjunction with Psycho Cut means it means Psycho Cut will critically hit half of the time, improving its damage output against foes. A Jolly nature is chosen to ensure it Absol can outspeed Jolly Hitmontop and Tsareena and to Speed tie with Jolly Kingler if needed, but an Adamant nature hits harder. Absol has trouble getting onto the field, so slow pivots such as Vaporeon and Uxie can help with that. They also help by baiting in Absol's prey, (AC) foes such as Rotom and Palossand, making it even easier for Absol to take something down. Fighting-types such as Passimian and Toxicroak appreciate Absol's ability to weaken Poison- and Fairy-types with its coverage, making it easier for them to sweep. Absol appreciates Fighting-type checks and Pokemon that can pivot into U-turn users, (AC) such as Aromatisse and Talonflame, (AC) are appreciated by Absol, as they can punish these Pokemon that Absol dislikes.

[SET COMMENTS]
Iron Tail takes out Fairy-types such as Aromatisse, while Close Combat takes care of Rock-types such as Regirock and Dark-types such as Scrafty. Play Rough can be used as a middle ground to hit both Dark- and Fighting-types, (AC) such as Guzzlord and Passimian, (AC) on a switch-in while hitting Fairy-types harder than Close Combat, (AC) but it lacks the higher power of Iron Tail or Close Combat. Life Orb is preferred, (AC) due to a solid boost to all of Absol's attacks; however, Black Glasses' main niche is better longevity without the Life Orb recoil but Black Glasses gives better longevity and the ability to bluff a Choice Band set. Justified is run to punish Knock Offs from Pokemon like Alolan Sandslash and Mesprit. However, Super Luck, when used with Psycho Cut, results in a critical hit half of the time. Sticky Webs support is heavily appreciated due to Absol's middling Speed tier, and because of this, Sticky Webs so setters like Ribombee and Vikavolt are great partners for it. Vikavolt also breaks through physical walls such as Regirock. On bulkier teams, slow pivots such as Lanturn can help Swords Dance Absol wallbreak or sweep a team by slowly wearing down its checks whilst providing setup opportunities. Spikes setters such as Garbodor also help Swords Dance Absol by moving many faster threats into the range of a boosted Sucker Punch, (AC) like Virizion. Offensive sweepers such as Quiver Dance Ribombee appreciate Absol's wallbreakers wallbreaking, as it makes it easier for them to clean late-game.

[OVERVIEW]
Absol is a great wallbreaker in the PU metagame (RC) thanks to a sky-high Attack stat, a spammable STAB option in Knock Off, and options to boost its Attack in Choice Band and Swords Dance. Access to priority in Sucker Punch, (AC) makes it harder to revenge kill, which is especially potent with Swords Dance, (AC) makes it harder to revenge kill. Its wide coverage options to hit standard Dark-type checks, (AC) like Iron Tail and Close Combat for Aromatisse and Regirock, (AC) and an extremely strong STAB Knock Off are its main draws over otherwise similar Pokemon such as Sneasel or and Guzzlord, with options such as Iron Tail and Close Combat to hit common Dark-type switchins like Aromatisse and Regirock. Unfortunately, Absol's poor bulk, (AC) and typing leave it with little defensive utility due to one immunity, one resistance, few resistances, and weaknesses to common Fighting- and Bug-type moves in the tier leave it with little defensive utility. This means Absol struggles to get in, and, (AC) due to its middling Speed tier (RC) as well as Sucker Punch being easy to work around, it often gets forced out.
