Deoxys-A's DNA may be alien, but it is no stranger to the Ubers metagame. With an Attack stat that puts even Groudon to shame and the strongest priority move in the game in Extreme Speed, Deoxys's Attack forme is a terrifying wallbreaker and revenge killer. Shadow Ball can 2HKO the numerous Psychic-types in the metagame and has perfect coverage with Superpower. Extreme Speed picks off weakened foes as well as opposing Deoxys-A that are locked into a different move, forcing them out. Rock Slide allows Deoxys-A to blow through Ho-Oh, while Double-Edge is a safe option that covers the likes of Snorlax and Latias without relying on too much prediction. Deoxys-A is as adaptable as its DNA and can fit on any team and playstyle. Spikes support from Forretress, Omastar, and Qwilfish helps put Metagross in range of being 2HKOed by Superpower, while Magneton can trap it and other Steel-types like Forretress and Skarmory so Deoxys-A can use Shadow Ball more freely. Blissey is another fantastic partner, walling Latios and Latias and giving opportunities for Deoxys-A to come in for free.
