Aerodactyl @ Choice Band
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Head Smash
- Brave Bird
- Accelerock
- Earthquake / Fire Fang
Rock Head Aerodactyl smashes the competition with its Choice Band set featuring Head Smash and Brave Bird, two incredibly strong STAB moves that have no drawback. Head Smash in particular is devastatingly powerful against even Rock-resistant Pokemon. These moves have great individual coverage, only failing to hit some Steel-types and niche Pokemon like Excadrill and Rhyperior. Aerodactyl also fills the role of revenge killer with Accelerock, which can hit setup sweepers like Salamence, Gyarados, and Volcarona super effectively. For Aerodactly's last move, Earthquake can be beneficial against Excadrill, Steelix, Melmetal, and Rhyperior, while Fire Fang is only used to minimize the chip damage taken against Ferrothorn. On that note, Aerodactyl's biggest weakness is chip damage from entry hazards and Rocky Helmet, so pairing it with strong hazard control like Corviknight and Knock Off users like Tyranitar and Weavile is essential. Zeraora is the most common offensive check to Aerodactyl, so pairing it with a bulky Ground-type like Seismitoad is helpful.

Aeordactyl smashes the competition with its Choice Band set featuring Head Smash and Brave Bird, two incredibly strong STAB moves that have no drawback thanks to Aerodactyl's Rock Head ability. Stress more how Head Smash is very powerful. I feel like Brave Bird should only come after the desc of Head Smash. Also, do mention that most ground-types gets weakened by the sheer power of Head Smash/Brave Bird. These moves are also great coverage on their own, and only fail to hit some Steel-types and a few niche Pokemon neutrally add examples here. Maybe Excadrill as steel-type and Rhyperior as niche pokémon. These powerful STAB moves and great offensive stats make Aerodactyl a huge threat in the metagame IDK how I'd re-phrase it but it is redundant with your first sentance, but it also fills the role of speed control on teams with Accelerock, which can hit setup sweepers like Salamence, Gyarados, and Volcarona super effectively. The last moveslot is largely unimportant in most matchups, with Earthquake being beneficial against Excadrill, Steelix, Melmetal, and Rhyperior while Fire Fang is only used to minimize the chip damage against Ferrothorn. It is a bit long, idk... On that note, Aerodactyl's biggest weakness is chip damage from entry hazards and Rocky Helmet, so pairing it with strong hazard control like Corviknight and Knock Off users (like?) is essential at keeping it healthy throughout the match. it do feel empty. Maybe add something about Zera checks, since Zera RK aero?

tag me on discord when you're done, so I'll give 1/1!
