PU Aggron (QC 1/1) (GP 1/1)

TJ

Banned deucer.
is the Smogon Tour Season 34 Championis a Past SPL Championis a Two-Time Past SCL Champion

Aggron @ Choice Band
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly / Adamant Nature
- Head Smash
- Heavy Slam
- Ice Punch
- Superpower / Earthquake

Aggron stands as one of the strongest wallbreakers PU has to offer thanks to its incredible power that allows it to OHKO a good portion of the tier. Aggron benefits greatly from recent metagame changes, with its best checks, Gastrodon and Ferroseed, rising to OU and NU, which has caused Pokemon like Poliwrath to rise in order to check it. Its typing and bulk allow it to come in on passive Pokemon like Clefairy to fire off its powerful STAB attacks. Aggron's coverage allows it to severely weaken its checks; Ice Punch lets it dent bulky Ground-types like Mudsdale, while Earthquake allows it to KO opposing Steel-types like Probopass. Aggron fits well on bulky offense and balanced builds thanks to its ability to muscle past bulkier foes well so it can support sweepers like Lilligant. However, Aggron is very easy to revenge kill, as it struggles against common Fighting- and Ground-types such as Poliwrath, Gurdurr, and Mudsdale, so teammates like Qwilfish and Mesprit are ideal. Qwilfish can also set up entry hazards, which makes Aggron even more threatening, while Mesprit provides a slow U-turn and Healing Wish support.

Adamant / Jolly Nature (i'd be tempted to put jolly first)

- Superpower / Ice Punch (swap ice punch and eq around, eq isnt too notable in what it does tbh)

Aggron stands as one of the strongest wallbreakers PU has to offer thanks to its incredible power that allows it to OHKO a good portion of the tier (because this is a facebook spotlight, i think mentioning that the leaving of both gastrodon and ferroseed, even torterra to a lesser extent, has caused other checks to rise in order to check aggron; e.g poliwrath). Its typing and bulk allow it to come in on passive Pokemon like Clefairy to fire off its powerful STAB attacks. Earthquake helps Aggron against Pokemon like Probopass and provides a reliable hit as opposed to Head Smash's poor accuracy that dodges After Math from Skunktank; Ice Punch hits bulky Ground-types like Mudsdale; Superpower helps it deal more damage to checks like Gurdurr and Poliwrath (could probs condense this to say aggrons coverage allows it to dent/severely weaken its checks, then slight explanation). Aggron fits well on bulky offense and balanced builds, thanks to its ability to muscle past bulkier foes well so it can support sweepers like Liligant (lilligant). However, Aggron is very easy to revenge kill as it struggles against common Fighting- and Ground-types such as Poliwrath, Gurdurr, and Mudsdale, so teammates like Qwilfish and Mesprit are ideal. Qwilfish can also set up entry hazards, which makes Aggron even more threatening, while Mesprit provides a slow U-turn and Healing Wish support.
Just stress how recent meta changes have made it so much better. QC 1/1. Gjob.
