I would love to see some of the people posting in this thread have a similar experience and then belittle this situation..., though I would really hope that this doesn't happen to anyone else.
But yeah, I like Birkal's approach the best. The best way to do this is to educate the parents and the children, showing them that bullying is a very serious problem.
And yes Bri, the last point was what I was hoping to accomplish. At least some of the posts are constructive towards that.
none of us will go through this, simply because i'm pretty sure none of us have flashed + slept with somebody's boyfriend! i mean, i'm sure it was a horrible experience for her (i've been bullied / depressed / whatever before too!), but it's just a consequence of her actions.
what is bullying anyway? is having a group of people purposely not talk to somebody considered bullying? (i know this doesn't apply to this example, but isolation is often considered bullying) is telling somebody "you slept with my boyfriend - you are a fucking slut!" considered bullying?
the point is, you don't automatically get people to be nice to you - i wish this were true, but it's not. you need to EARN niceness - todd simply did not.
