1v1 Ambipom

[OVERVIEW]

Ambipom is a very strong attacker that can take out the majority of the most prominent Pokemon in 1v1. Its base 115 Speed allows it to use an Adamant nature and still outspeed base 100 Pokemon such as Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, and Mega Gardevoir. Ambipom uses its powerful Normal-type STAB moves Fake Out and Giga Impact in conjunction with Normalium Z to overpower common bulky offense threats like Mega Charizard X and Dragonite. Its access to Tickle allows it to take on a more defensive role to take out threats such as Mega Gyarados and Incineroar. However, Ambipom suffers from its lack of coverage, since using any other moveset would trade important matchups for less significant ones. Its Normal-type moves are easily walled by Rock-, Steel-, and Ghost-types such as Crustle, Magearna, and Mega Aggron, and coverage moves like Low Sweep and Fire Punch are not strong enough to deal with this issue. Ambipom also lacks sufficient Speed and bulk to beat other faster threats in the metagame such as Mega Lopunny and Zeraora. Ambipom also needs an Adamant nature to win most of its dominant matchups, thus losing against otherwise outsped Pokemon like Garchomp and Jumpluff.

Moves
========

Fake Out allows Ambipom to deal a huge amount of free damage to Pokemon like Mega Charizard X and Meloetta thanks to STAB and Technician boosts and bypass Sturdy and Multiscale to beat Pokemon like Donphan and Dragonite. Giga Impact is a high-Base Power STAB move that gets powered up by Normalium Z to deal massive amounts of damage. After a Fake Out, it can be used to beat Dragonite and Tapu Fini, as well as immediately OHKOing most Tapu Lele. Tickle lowers the foe's Attack and Defense by one stage and allows Ambipom to win matchups against Mega Gyarados and bulky Incineroar; Normalium Z-boosted Tickle also raises Ambipom's Defense to make up for its lack of bulk while increasing its KO potential. Low Sweep is a coverage move against Rock- and Steel-types that lowers the foe's Speed and allows Ambipom to beat Mega Gyarados and Excadrill.

Set Details
========

252 Attack EVs with an Adamant nature allow Ambipom to hit as hard as possible with Fake Out and Breakneck Blitz, letting it KO Pokemon like Mega Charizard X, Tapu Lele, and Meloetta. 4 Special Defense EVs deny Pokemon with the ability Download a Special Attack boost; this allows Ambipom to almost always beat offensive Choice Scarf Genesect. Maximum Speed investment is used to outspeed all unboosted base 100 Speed Pokemon such as Mew, Volcarona, Mega Medicham, and both Mega Charizard formes.

Usage Tips
========

Against stall Pokemon like Porygon2 and Mew, Ambipom can use Tickle to lower their defenses before using Breakneck Blitz. However, if Fake Out does not activate a Kee Berry on Mew, use Breakneck Blitz to immediately KO it, as the lack of Kee Berry will indicate an offensive Mew set that will OHKO Ambipom with Genesis Supernova if given the chance. Mega Gyarados's base ability Intimidate allows it to survive the two-hit combo, so it is necessary to lower its stats with Normalium Z-boosted Tickle after using Fake Out, damage it and lower its Speed with Low Sweep, and then KO it with Giga Impact. When facing Tapu Lele, Fake Out is unusable because of Psychic Surge, so use Breakneck Blitz on turn 1 to KO it in most cases. Against Bulk Up users like Incineroar, Ambipom should use Tickle until it successfully lowers their stats; Tickle nullifies the effect of the move Bulk Up and has more PP, so this is guaranteed. Once their stats are lowered, you can KO them with Breakneck Blitz. Against Mega Altaria, you enter a coinflip situation. If you expect Mega Altaria to use Cotton Guard, Ambipom KOes it with Breakneck Blitz followed by Giga Impact. However, if you expect Mega Altaria to use Roost to heal off the incoming Breakneck Blitz damage, Ambipom must use Tickle first to OHKO afterwards.

Team Options
========

Ambipom has a really hard time dealing with Rock-, Steel-, and Ghost-types, so Pokemon that can deal with these threats like Aegislash, Heatran, and Sawk are very good teammates. Ambipom, in exchange, can beat Pokemon that threaten these partners like Mega Charizard X and Mega Gyarados. Ambipom also has trouble beating faster Pokemon like Zeraora and Mega Lopunny, which can be dealt with by bulky Pokemon like Mega Venusaur and Kommo-o. The latter has a bad matchup against Pokemon like Mega Gardevoir and Tapu Lele, which Ambipom easily deals with. It also has difficulty dealing with stall Pokemon like Registeel, Mega Slowbro, and Type: Null, so Taunt users like Mega Gyarados and Mega Tyranitar are appreciated. In exchange, Ambipom provides the power needed to beat threats like Mega Gardevoir, Tapu Fini, and Tapu Lele.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Ambipom can run a Jolly nature to reach 361 Speed, outspeeding and beating Pokemon like Jumpluff, Serperior, and non-Choice Scarf Garchomp while sacrificing consistency in important matchups such as Dragonite and Mega Charizard X. It can also make use of Skill Link and Tail Slap combined with Life Orb, beating Pokemon like Whimsicott and Protect Dragonite. Fire Punch is an option instead of Low Sweep, sacrificing the Mega Gyarados matchup to beat Ferrothorn and Choice Specs Genesect.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Ghost-, Rock- and Steel-types**: Pokemon that are resistant or immune to Normal-type moves like Aegislash, Mega Sableye, Rhyperior, Celesteela, Heatran, and Mega Aggron are almost impervious to Ambipom's attacks and can easily defeat it.

**Faster Pokemon**: Pokemon with a base Speed higher than 100 like Garchomp, Kartana, Zeraora, Greninja, and Mega Lopunny, as well as Choice Scarf users like Landorus-T and Porygon-Z, can outspeed Ambipom and OHKO it.

**Bulky Pokemon**: Pokemon that have enough bulk to withstand Ambipom's attacks like Kommo-o, Kyurem, Whimsicott, and Serperior can KO or set up on it.

**Stall**: Pokemon that are able to boost their Defense by more than one stage per turn such as Mega Slowbro, Registeel, and Type: Null can easily outstall Ambipom.

**Substitute**: Pokemon that set up a Substitute to force Ambipom to recharge for a turn like Zygarde, Landorus-T, and Jumpluff can KO it or set up while Ambipom is recharging.

  • Its Technician-boosted Fake Out allows it to deal a considerable amount of damage for free, while bypassing abilities like Multiscale and Sturdy, from the likes of Dragonite and Sawk (Use a different example since you lose to Sawk's most used set Scarf).
  • Z-Giga Impact, combined with the aforementioned Fake Out damage, lets it deal with very dominant threats in the metagame, such as Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y and Dragonite.

  • Ambipom has access to the very useful move Tickle, which lowers the opponent's Attack and Defense by one stage. This move, which can also be powered by its Z-Crystal to boost its defense a stage, lets it beat Pokemon physical attackers like Incineroar, and Mega Gyarados.

  • Fake Out is a very good move that allows Ambipom to damage the opponent turn one and flinch it 100% of the time. It gets boosted by both STAB and Technician, letting it deal a huge amount of damage, while also bypassing Sturdy and Multiscale.
  • Giga Impact is a high Base Power STAB move that gets powered by Ambipom's Z-Crystal to deal massive amounts of damage. After a Fake Out, it can be used to beat Normalium Porygon-Z, Dragonite (again protect is a thing) and Mega Gardevoir.
  • Low Sweep is an utility attack that allows it to get damage on the opponent while lowering their Speed down by one stage. This, combined with the fact that it provides coverage against Rock- and Steel- types, allows it to beat Pokemon like Mega Gyarados and Excadrill. (You need to explain why Low Sweep specifically is key for these matchups over another option like Brick Break. Also switch Tickle and this in the move order or this section for consistency. Also Exca is irrelevant lol)
  • Tickle is a very useful move that lowers the opponent's Attack and Defense by one stage. The Z-Powered version also rises Ambipom's defense by one stage. This makes up for Ambipom's lack of bulk while at the same time increasing his killpower. Tickle allows Ambipom to win matchups against Mega Gyarados and Incineroar. (I would emphasize how key tickle is)

Set Details

  • Maximum Attack investment allows it to hit as hard as possible with Fake Out and Breakneck Blitz, letting it kill Pokemon like Mega Charizard X and Dragonite 100% of the time (Remove the 100%, it's weird. Also protect Dnite is a thing...).
  • 4 Defense EVs are leftovers that let it marginally increase its defense to better its matchup against Pokemon like Mega Gyarados. (You beat Mgyara regardless?)
  • 252 EVs into Speed allows Ambipom to outspeed all base 100 Pokemon without boosts, such as Mewnium Mew, Volcarona and Mega Medicham. (Zard is def worth mentioning here)
  • Mention the nature, especially since you have it slashed

Usage Tips
========

  • Against Pokemon you outspeed and OHKO after Fake Out, like Mega Charizard X, Mega Gardevoir, and Dragonite, you should go for Fake Out turn 1 and straight into Z-Giga Impact turn 2.
  • Mega Gyarados' ability Intimidate allows it to survive the two hits, so it is necessary to lower its stats with Z-Tickle after the Fake Out, damage it with Low Sweep while lowering its speed and then kill it with Giga Impact.
  • When facing Tapu Lele, Fake Out can be punished by its ability Psychic Surge; Breakneck Blitz turn 1 is going to kill it in most cases.
  • Against Bulk Up users like Incineroar, you should use Tickle until you successfully lower its stats: Tickle nullifies the effect of the move Bulk Up and has more PP; once its stats are lowered, you can kill him with Breakneck Blitz.

  • Ambipom can decide to run a Jolly nature to reach 361 Speed, outspeeding and beating Pokemon like Jumpluff, Serperior and Choice Band Garchomp, while sacrificing consistency in important matchups such as Dragonite and Mega Charizard X.
  • It can also make use of Life Orb combined with Tail Slap and the ability Skill Link, beating Pokemon like Whimsicott and Meloetta. (Also LO can be used to hit harder if you don't run Z tickle and compensate for running Jolly)
  • Ambipom can decide to run Fire Punch instead of Low Sweep, sacrificing the Mega Gyarados matchup to beat Choice Specs Genesect and Ferrothorn.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Ghost-, Rock- and Steel-types**: These types are either resistant or unaffected by Normal-type moves. This means that Pokemon like Mega Tyranitar (You actually beat Mega TTar with Z tickle into low sweep), Aegislash and Mega Aggron are almost impervious to Ambipom's attacks and can easily defeat it.

**Faster Pokemon**: Choice Scarf users or Pokemon with a higher base speed than 100, like Garchomp and Kartana, can outspeed Ambipom and OHKO it.

**Stall**: Pokemon that are able to boost up their defense by more than one stage per turn, for example Mega Slowbro, Registeel and Type: Null (Registeel also has clear body), can easily outstall Ambipom.

Set Details
========

Usage Tips
========

Team Options
========

  • Ambipom has a really hard time dealing with Rock- Steel- and Ghost-types, so Pokemon that can deal with these threats like Aegislash, Heatran and Sawk are very good teammates. Ambipom, in exchange, can beat Pokemon like Mega Charizard X and Mega Gyarados that threaten these partners.
  • Ambipom also has trouble beating faster Pokemon like Zeraora and Mega Lopunny, which can be dealt with by bulky Pokemon like Mega Venusaur and Kommo-o. The latter have a bad matchup against Pokemon like Mega Gardevoir and Tapu lele, which Ambipom easily deals with. (This phrasing is weird)
  • It also has difficulty dealing with stall Pokemon (that can boost their defense by more than one stage) like Registeel, Mega Slowbro and Type: Null, which can easily be dealt with by Taunt users like Mega Gyarados or Mega Tyranitar. In exchange, Ambipom provides the offensive power needed to beat threats like Mega Altaria (You don't beat Altaria) and Tapu Fini.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

===================

Altaria wins with enough physdef, making the MU unreliable. No alt runs just 252 HP.

If Mega Altaria has less than 252 HP 100 Def EVs fake out + z giga impact + giga impact kills even if they roost up. If they have more than that (which is just a 10% of all the mAlt sets) it creates a 50/50 situation where you attack/tickle and they cguard/roost. Reliable enough for me to keep it.
If you have other issues let me know

  • Ambipom is a very strong offensive attacker that can take out the majority of the higher tiers of the 1v1.
  • Its base 115 Speed allows it to outspeed base 100 Speed Pokemon, such as Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y and Mega Gardevoir, while still maintaining an Adamant nature.
  • Its Technician-boosted Fake Out allows it to deal a considerable amount of damage for free, while bypassing abilities like Multiscale and Sturdy, from the likes of Dragonite, non-Scarf Sawk and non-Bulky Donphan.
  • Z-Giga Impact, combined with the aforementioned Fake Out damage, lets it deal with very dominant threats in the metagame, such as Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y and Dragonite.
  • Ambipom has access to Tickle, which lowers the opponent's Attack and Defense by one stage. This move, which can also be powered by its Z-Crystal to boost its Defense a stage, letting it beat physical attackers like Incineroar, and Mega Gyarados.
  • Ambipom suffers in its lack of coverage, as its Normal-type moves will easily get walled by Rock-, Steel- and Ghost-types, such as Magearna, Aegislash and Mega Aggron, and Low Sweep is not a strong enough move to deal with this issue. Rephrase this. Ambipom has tons of coverage moves - that's not the issue. 4MSS, weak, low base power, etc...

After a Fake Out, it can be used to beat Normalium Porygon-Z, Dragonite and Mega Gardevoir.
  • Low Sweep is an utility attack that allows it to get damage on the opponent while lowering their Speed down by one stage. This, combined with the fact that it provides coverage against Rock- and Steel- types, allows it to beat Mega Gyarados; Low Sweep is necessary for this matchup to lower its speed, preventing Mega Gyarados from setting up and killing you in one hit. • All of the above purpled bullets are effectively the Moves section. Broaden these up into two more general points about Ambipom using its STABs to overpower common bulky offense threats with examples, followed by its use of Z-Tickle to become a more defensive threat, with examples of what it'd use it for.
  • Ambipom suffers in its lack of coverage, since using any other moveset would trade off important high tier matchups. Its Normal-type moves will easily get walled by Rock-, Steel- and Ghost-types, such as Magearna, Aegislash and Mega Aggron, and moves like Low Sweep or Fire Punch are not strong enough to deal with this issue.
  • Ambipom also lacks sufficient speed or bulk to beat other faster threats in the metagame, such as Mega Lopunny and Zeraora. Expand on this to also note the fact that Ambipom NEEDS Adamant in order to reliably KO things, which results in losses against the 101-114 speed tiers that you'd otherwise beat with Jolly.

  • Giga Impact is a high Base Power STAB move that gets powered by Ambipom's Z-Crystal to deal massive amounts of damage. After a Fake Out, it can be used to beat Normalium Porygon-Z, Dragonite and Mega Gardevoir mention things that Z-Giga barely kos in order to really drive the point home, as people may otherwise think Return or Double Edge would be more helpful.
  • Low Sweep is an utility attack that allows it to get damage on the opponent while lowering their Speed down by one stage. This allows it to beat Mega Gyarados; Low Sweep is necessary for this matchup to lower its speed, preventing Mega Gyarados from setting up and killing you in one hit. save it for the Usage Tips section Low Sweep also provides some coverage against Rock- and Steel-types, like Excadrill
  • Tickle is a very useful move that lowers the opponent's Attack and Defense by one stage. The Z-Powered version also rises Ambipom's defense by one stage. This makes up for Ambipom's lack of bulk while at the same time increasing his killpower. Tickle allows Ambipom to win matchups against Mega Gyarados and Incineroar. switch this bullet with the Low Sweep bullet so that it matches the order of moves in the Set above.
Set Details
========

  • Maximum Attack investment allows it to hit as hard as possible with Fake Out and Breakneck Blitz, letting it kill Pokemon like Mega Charizard X and Dragonite. make this more along the lines of maxing damage output, as a lot of things aren't necessarily 100% reliable, with examples being more along the lines of max hp zardx, lele, meloetta, etc. Also say "252 Atk EVs with an Adamant nature".
  • 4 SpD EVs allow you to have a higher Special Defense than Defense, thus not letting Pokemon with the ability Download get a Special Attack boost. This allows you to beat Scarf Genesect.
  • 252 EVs into Speed allows Ambipom to outspeed all base 100 Pokemon without boosts, such as Mew, Volcarona, Mega Medicham, Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y
  • Adamant nature is ran over Jolly as Ambipom needs the added strength to kill bulky threats like Dragonite, Mega Gyarados and Mega Charizard X, and the speed gained by Jolly only helps for a few marginal matchups.
Usage Tips
========

  • Against Pokemon you outspeed and OHKO after Fake Out, like Mega Charizard X, Mega Gardevoir, and Dragonite, you should go for Fake Out turn 1 and straight into Z-Giga Impact turn 2.
  • Put a bullet here about general cases you'd want to use Tickle or Z-Tickle in, like Mew, Porygon2, Donphan, etc.
  • Mega Gyarados' ability Intimidate allows it to survive the two hits, so it is necessary to lower its stats with Z-Tickle after the Fake Out, damage it with Low Sweep while lowering its speed and then kill it with Giga Impact.
  • When facing Tapu Lele, Fake Out can be punished by its ability Psychic Surge; so use Breakneck Blitz on turn 1 to kill it in most cases.
  • Against Bulk Up users like Incineroar, you should use Tickle until you successfully lower its stats: Tickle nullifies the effect of the move Bulk Up and has more PP; once its stats are lowered, you can kill it with Breakneck Blitz.
  • Against physically bulky Mega Altaria, if your Fake Out doesn't deal more than 20% damage, you enter a 50/50 situation. If you expect them to use Cotton Guard, you can Z-Giga Impact and then kill them with Giga Impact. If you expect them to use roost to heal off the eventual Z-Giga Impact damage, you can use Tickle turn one to OHKO it.
Team Options
========

  • It also has difficulty dealing with stall Pokemon like Registeel, Mega Slowbro and Type: Null, which can easily be dealt with by Taunt users like Mega Gyarados or Mega Tyranitar. In exchange, Ambipom provides the offensive power needed to beat threats like Tapu Fini any more examples?.
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

  • Ambipom can decide to run a Jolly nature to reach 361 Speed, outspeeding and beating Pokemon like Jumpluff, Serperior and non-Choice Scarf Garchomp, while sacrificing consistency in important matchups such as Dragonite and Mega Charizard X.
  • It can also make use of Life Orb combined with Tail Slap and the ability Skill Link, beating Pokemon like Whimsicott and Protect Dragonite.
  • Ambipom can decide to run Fire Punch instead of Low Sweep, sacrificing the Mega Gyarados matchup to beat Choice Specs Genesect and Ferrothorn.

**Ghost-, Rock- and Steel-types**: These types are either resistant or unaffected by Normal-type moves. This means that Pokemon like Mega Tyranitar, Aegislash and Mega Aggron are almost impervious to Ambipom's attacks and can easily defeat it. feel free to go ham with examples here, the more people know what threatens it the better

**Faster Pokemon**: Choice Scarf users or Pokemon with a higher base speed than 100, like Garchomp and Kartana, can outspeed Ambipom and OHKO it. feel free to go ham with examples here, the more people know what threatens it the better

**Bulky Pokemon**: put something here about pokemon that simply have the bulk to withstand Ambipom's attacks and KO it or set up a win condition like Kommo-o, Kyurem, and Mega Swampert

**Stall**: Pokemon that are able to boost up their defense by more than one stage per turn, for example Mega Slowbro, Registeel and Type: Null, can easily outstall Ambipom.

**Substitute**: put something here about pokemon that use Substitute to force ambipom to recharge like Landot, Zygarde, and Whimsicott

[OVERVIEW]

[OVERVIEW]

Ambipom is a very strong offensive attacker that can take out the majority of the higher tiers of themost prominent Pokemon in 1v1 (by tiers, do you mean from the viability rankings? I'm not so sure we can quote that.). Its base 115 Speed allows it to maintain an Adamant nature and still outspeed base 100 Speed Pokemon, (RC) such as Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, (AC) and Mega Gardevoir, while still maintaining an Adamant nature. Ambipom uses its powerful Z-Powered Normal-type STAB moves Fake Out and Giga Impact in conjunction with Normalium Z to overpower common bulky offense threats like Mega Charizard X and Dragonite. Its use ofaccess to Tickle allows it to become a more defensive threat, able to take out threats such as Mega Gyarados and Incineroar. However, Ambipom suffers in its lack of coverage, since using any other moveset would trade off important high tier matchups. Its Normal-type moves willare easily get walled by Rock-, Steel-, (AC) and Ghost-types, such as Magearna, Aegislash and Mega Aggron (no Rock-type example; rearrange examples to parallel order of said types; use Oxford comma), and coverage moves like Low Sweep orand Fire Punch are not strong enough to deal with this issue. Ambipom also lacks sufficient sSpeed orand bulk to beat other faster threats in the metagame, (RC) such as Mega Lopunny and Zeraora. Ambipom also needs an Adamant nature to win most of its dominant matchups, thus losing against slightly fasterotherwise outsped (they are not faster technically w/o context of their sets) Pokemon like Garchomp and Jumpluff.

252 Attack EVs with an Adamant nature allows it Ambipom to hit as hard as possible with Fake Out and Breakneck Blitz, letting it killKO Pokemon like Mega Charizard X, Tapu Lele, (AC) and Meloetta. 4 Special Defense EVs allow you to havegive Ambipom (allow is too repetitive) a higher Special Defense than Defense, thus not lettdenying (shorter way to say this) Pokemon with the ability Download get a Special Attack boost. Usage Tips

Against Pokemon you outspeed Ambipom outspeeds and OHKO OHKOes after Fake Out, like Mega Charizard X, Mega Gardevoir, and Dragonite, you should go for Fake Out turn 1 and straight into Z-Giga Impact Normalium Z-boosted Giga Impact turn 2 (is this not obvious? yeah this does seem rather obvious. if I can ohko something with z giga after fake out why would I not). Against Sstall Pokemon like Porygon2 and Mew you, (AC) Ambipom can use Tickle to weaken their defenses instead of its Z powered version as they're not going to hit you with physical attacks (I have zero idea why it matters that they won't be using physical attacks? and Breakneck Blitz will hit harder than Giga Impact. I before using Breakneck Blitz. However, if Fake Out does not activate a Kee Berry on Mew, use Breakneck Blitz to immediately KO it immediately, as the lack of Kee Berry willoften indicates an offensive Mew set that will OHKO youAmbipom with Genesis Supernova if given the chance. Mega Gyarados's base ability Intimidate allows it to survive the two-hits combo, so it is necessary to lower its stats with Z-Tickle Normalium Z-boosted Tickle after the using Fake Out, damage it and lower its Speed with Low Sweep while lowering its speed, (AC) and then kill itKO it with Giga Impact. When facing Tapu Lele, Fake Out can be punished byis unusable because of its ability Psychic Surge;, (SC -> C) so use Breakneck Blitz on turn 1 to killKO it in most cases. Against Bulk Up users like Incineroar, youAmbipom should use Tickle until youit successfully lower itss their stats:; (SC) Tickle nullifies the effect of the move Bulk Up and has more PP; o,(AC) so this is guaranteed. (full stop) Once itstheir stats are lowered, you can kill itKO them with Breakneck Blitz. Against physically bulkydefensive Mega Altaria, if your Fake Out doesn't deal more than 20% damage, you enter a 50/50 coinflip situation. If you expect them Mega Altaria to use Cotton Guard, you can Z-Giga Impact and then kill them withAmbipom KOes with Breakneck Blitz followed by Giga Impact. IHowever, if you expect themMega Altaria to use rRoost to heal off the eventual Z-Giga Impactincoming Breakneck Blitz damage, you canAmbipom must use Tickle turn onefirst to OHKO it.afterwards. (the last two sentences are highly subjective, but this explains the scenario better + fixes technical errors)

Team Options

Ambipom has a really hard time dealing with Rock-, (AC) Steel-, (AC) and Ghost-types, so Pokemon that can deal with these threats like Aegislash, Heatran, (AC) and Sawk are very good teammates. Ambipom, in exchange, can beat Pokemon that threaten these partners like Mega Charizard X and Mega Gyarados that threaten these partners. Ambipom also has trouble beating faster Pokemon like Zeraora and Mega Lopunny, which can be dealt with by bulky Pokemon like Mega Venusaur and Kommo-o. The latter haves a bad matchup against Pokemon like Mega Gardevoir and Tapu lLele, which Ambipom easily deals with. It also has difficulty dealing with stall Pokemon like Registeel, Mega Slowbro, (AC) and Type: Null, which can easily be dealt with by so Taunt users like Mega Gyarados orand Mega Tyranitar are appreciated. In exchange, Ambipom provides the offensive power needed to beat threats like Mega Gardevoir, Tapu Fini, (AC) and Tapu Lele.

Ambipom can decide to run a Jolly nature to reach 361 Speed, outspeeding and beating Pokemon like Jumpluff, Serperior, (AC) and non-Choice Scarf Garchomp, (RC) while sacrificing consistency in important matchups such as Dragonite and Mega Charizard X. It can also make use of Skill Life Orb combined withnk and Tail Slap ancombined withe ability Skill Link Life Orb (Skill Link defines the set better), beating Pokemon like Whimsicott and Protect Dragonite. Ambipom can decide to run Fire Punch instead of Low Sweep, sacrificing the Mega Gyarados matchup to beat Ferrothorn and Choice Specs Genesect and Ferrothorn(very nitpicky, but avoids Specs Ferro confusion).

Checks and Counters

**Ghost-, Rock-, (AC) and Steel-types**: These typesPokemon that are either resistant or immunaffected bye to Normal-type moves. This means that Pokemon like Mega Tyranitar, Aegislash, Celesteela, Heatran, Rhyperior, Mega Sableye and Mega Aggron Aegislash, Mega Sableye, Rhyperior, Celesteela, Heatran, and Mega Aggron are almost impervious to Ambipom's attacks and can easily defeat it.

**Faster Pokemon**: Pokemon with a higher base sSpeed higher than 100,(RC) like Garchomp, Kartana, Zeraora, Greninja, and Mega Lopunny, as well as Choice Scarf users like Landorus-T and Porygon-Z, (RC if you're gonna keep the comma before "as well as", then you must keep this one too) can outspeed Ambipom and OHKO it.

**Bulky Pokemon**: Pokemon that have enough bulk to withstand Ambipom's attacks and KO it or set up a win condition like Kommo-o, Kyurem, Whimsicott, (AC) and Serperior can easily dealKO or set up with on it.

**Stall**: Pokemon that are able to boost up their dDefense by more than one stage per turn, for example such as Mega Slowbro, Registeel, (AC) and Type: Null, (RC) can easily outstall Ambipom.

**Substitute**: Pokemon that set up a Substitute to force Ambipom to recharge for a turn, (RC) like Zygarde, Landorus-T, (AC) and Jumpluff can KO it or set up a win condition during the recharge turn (ya setting up a win condition is not a term. be clearer.).

[OVERVIEW]

Ambipom is a very strong offensive attacker that can take out the majority of the higher tiers of themost prominent Pokemon in 1v1 (by tiers, do you mean from the viability rankings? I'm not so sure we can quote that. I agree). Its base 115 Speed allows it to use an Adamant nature and still outspeed base 100 Speed Pokemon, (RC) such as Mega Charizard X, Mega Charizard Y, (AC) and Mega Gardevoir, while still maintaining an Adamant nature. However, Ambipom suffers in its lack of coverage, since using any other moveset would trade off important high tier matchups for less significant ones. Its Normal-type moves willare easily get walled by Rock-, Steel-, (AC) and Ghost-types,(RC) such as Magearna, Aegislash and Mega Aggron (no Rock-type example; rearrange examples to parallel order of said types; use Oxford comma yeah add a Rock-type example to the list or just remove that bit), and coverage moves like Low Sweep orand Fire Punch are not strong enough to deal with this issue.

Fake Out is a very good move that allows Ambipom to damage the opponent turn one and flinch it 100% of the time. It gets boosted by both STAB and Technicianfoe turn 1, letting it deal a huge amount of damage to Pokemon like Mega Charizard X and Meloetta, thanks to STAB and Technician boosts, alsond bypasses Sturdy and Multiscale, allowing it to beat Pokemon like Donphan and Dragonite (combined, less "dexy" I think these changes are fine though I'm not sure if some of the original meaning was lost here? if qc thinks so let me know). Giga Impact is a high-Base(AH) Power STAB move that gets powered up by Ambipom'sNormalium Z-Crystal to deal massive amounts of damage. After a Fake Out, it can be used to beat Dragonite and Tapu Fini, or as well as immediately OHKO OHKOing most Tapu Lele. Tickle is a very useful move that lowers the opponent's foe's Attack and Defense by one stage. The Z-Powered version and allows Ambipom to win matchups against Mega Gyarados and Incineroar (merge); (period -> SC) Normalium Z-boosted Tickle also raises Ambipom's dDefense by one stage. Implemented. A note:

as the lack of Kee Berry willoften indicates an offensive Mew set that will OHKO Ambipom with Genesis Supernova
This change would change the meaning of the sentence on a metagame level, implying that Mew viably runs sets other than Kee Berry or Mewinium. As analyses are written with the assumption of preparation for only metagame relevant sets (so as to not get caught up prepping for completely unpredictable unsets), I did not implement the underlined portion; however, if there is a better way to word this phrase while maintaining the meaning, I would be happy to implement that.
