The PS! anime room used to host an annual popularity contest for anime characters which was decided purely by voting but we have decided to spice things up this year. The nomination phase has ended and the top 100ish characters that received the most votes have made it to the main stage.
Take part in a fun Best of 3 Gen 9 Random Battle tournament while backing your favorite character and stand a chance to win a Custom Avatar!
Each player has to back 1 character and cannot change their pick. Please pick a character from this list.
Please contact me via smogon dm or discord (ArsenalArceus) if you have any questions about the character list.
Players that back the same character cannot play each other unless it is unavoidable (In other words more than half the players would need to back the same character for this to happen)
The tournament will go on even if all remaining players back the same character (This might become a reality in the later stages of the tournament)
The ultimate winner of the Random Battle Tournament will be award a Custom Avatar (The avatar needs to meet the minimum standards for a PS! custom avatar)

Make contact with your opponents! Post a VM on their Smogon wall to try to set a date for the battle. If you do this via any other medium, save logs and screenshots so that in the event of an activity call, you get it to go your way. Leave time zones, preferred time to play, and be specific.
